80 mile round trip just to try a diner in the country I had never visited before? OF COURSE - it HAD to be done. We had a little break in the weather so it was a nice drive through areas I had never explored and the cafe immediately lived up to expectations (once I found it - my GPS didn't like the location). Friendly staff, small town Friday night social hour, true home cooked options and a quaint interior added up to a great experience. The chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and white gravy were done to perfection and complemented with a nice dinner salad and homemade bread (I was told it was very good - I didn't have any that night). These are the places I long to find on a weekend getaway or just to have a nice drive. If I am in the area, I will be back and, if not, I am sure I will find a time for a nice road trip.

I've eaten here a lot! I find that the price is perfect and you get a large amount of food for what you pay! I recommend this place to everyone.
