I'm so excited that Waverly has a Chinese Restaurant now! And a good one, to boot! It's located in the strip mall next to the 4-Star Drug (where Doozy's used to be). After a week of craving some Crab Rangoon, I finally decided we'd have some take-out Chinese. We really wanted our first experience with this place to dine-in but I knew trying to take our 2 1/2 year old in there wouldn't be enjoyable for anyone so take-out it was. First of all, the prices of the meals are awesome. We ordered General Tso's Chicken and Sweet & Sour Chicken as well as an order of Crab Rangoon and let me tell you - you definitely get your money's worth with this food! Seriously, there was enough food for at least 6 people. Needless to say, we had left overs the next day! In addition to the amazing value, the food itself was delicious. I'm pretty sure the sweet and sour sauce was homemade (as it wasn't that bright red stuff you normally see at other Chinese places). The crab rangoon, while yummy, could have had a bit more garlic. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable and delicious meal! The restaurant itself is nice - being new, everything is clean and shiny. Hopefully they keep it that way!

I have been a patron of this restaurant since it opened. It is just a few miles outside of greater Lincoln, right off HWY 6 in Waverley. A great local family owns it and all the ingredients are very fresh. I love their sauces too. By far the best hot and sour soup, I've ever had. I love coming here and taking my food to go on my way home to Ashland! This Chinese food is a commuter's dream. Anyone who goes back and forth between the two metro cities should check it out, I know you'll be back too. They are closed on Mondays but have a great special on Wednesdays where if you buy one combo dinner, you get the second 1/2 off. I think they have a lunch deal too.

This is a great Chinese restaurant! The hot and sour soup is divine -- sauces are delicious and fresh. All dishes are fresh, with bright veggies and meat medleys. It is family run and they aim to please. A must stop en route to Lincoln or Omaha!

I ordered lo mein with shrimp the lunch special and it had beef pieces in it clearly showing the back kitchen cooking is that sanitary. Not a place for vegetarian to keep like myself.

Food was hot is the best thing my family can say about this restaurant. Not the worst I've ever had but close, even the kids didn't want to eat it. We live in the area and now drive into Lincoln to get Chinese food.

I found this place using Yelp in the middle of nowhere. I didn't find exactly what I was looking for on their extensive menu but when I asked, they happily made it for me. The food was extremely fresh, the fried rice was simple and delicious and the owner's children were delightful. Check this place out - you will love it.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
