I had the Whiskey Glazed Chicken Breasts...amazing flavor! Very cool decor in the place as well. Pricing ranges from moderate to expensive dependent upon what you order. The waitresses were very attentive, keeping my soda full is a pet peeve of mine.

We come here about once a week for dinner with coworkers.. Service is good maybe 1 out of 4 times, Food comes out timely maybe 1 out of 4 times, and food comes out cooked decently and not dry maybe one out of 4 times. Lots of potential, but it's really a pretty terrible restaurant all around.

First time here for me..grew up here and was not impressed. Server was awesome but steaks were "choice" steaks at "platinum silver price." Go to "dudes steakhouse" for a way better cut of meat and very comparable prices and great staff! Won't be coming back....

Ranch steak was ridiculously tough, bought for my son expecting an $18 steak in the middle of Nebraska to be at least above average,,,, $10 sizzler steak is much better then the ranch steak...the staff was friendly and the sides were good. The place is nice and fillets were tasty but not worth $35...the meat was good but only browned, not seared, as if their oven wasn't hot enough...

We chose to eat at this restraunt because it was near our hotel. Big mistake! The food is way over priced, the waitress didn't want to be bothered, the service was slow, and they over cooked my steak. My boyfriend ordered the "fall off the bone ribs". He nearly ripped his teeth out trying to get the meet to come off. They only brought out 4 dinner rolls for the table when we had 7 in our group. When we asked for more rolls, they acted like we were putting them out. We didn't complain to our waitress because like I said, she didn't want to be bothered. I think next year when we go to Sidney we will try Dudes instead.

About a year removed and I wanted to stop in to see, what, if any, changes were made. I found very few and most of those were not positive. Starting at the beginning, the restaurant immediately after the foyer smells like mildew. I almost turned around and left at that point, honestly. Another is that the menu are badly in need of overhaul. They look and feel old, battered, worn. No changes to menu items, which is disappointing. Wife ordered a quesadilla and I laughed at her all the way through it. Needless to say, it was a bad choice. Drink selection again is highly questionable, unless you want alcohol. I still had the last leg of a road trip of the day ahead of me before resting my head, so I abstained, but that's kind of annoying. I had the Jalapeno Jack burger. Before I dissect it, you may be thinking...here's a guy who goes to a steakhouse and orders a burgers and to you, I say that they have to do everything on their menu well. What confidence do I have in a selection costing over $30 if they cant adequately perform one at 1/3 of that cost? Further, a good steakhouse has to be able to execute burgers. Has. To. Anyway, the bun was done flawlessly. Now for me to lead with this as a positive in describing a burger is bad news as it means everything else needs to change. So, bun is fine, toasted well and did a nice job of staying firm and not breaking apart. It also tasted pretty good. The burger itself (I opted for regular beef this time), tasted ok, but got lost frequently. This will not do for a steakhouse burger. That patty needs to be upgraded and then be the star. Next is the bacon and chipotle mayo. Both got lost completely under the onslaught of pickled Jalapenos. For that bacon, my advice to the owner is to toss the scrawny thin stuff and go with some nice, thick-cut SMOKED bacon. Make this joint a destination restaurant and build it from there. Also, if the cheese you're using come from between plastic, as what was used on mine clearly did, toss all of it out and start over with real cheese. The space is comfortable, if you get a booth by the wall and I enjoyed some of the piano player's selections, but service was not anywhere near what it should have been and the food did not improve at all upon the last time. If anything, I'd even say it slid slightly. The location is awesome; I think a high end restaurant would do great there, but if you want to have to be that, you have to take the steps, starting with a near-full menu overhaul.

I had the fantail shrimp and my husband had the chicken fried steak, both were very good! Service was friendly and had a good atmosphere. It was located close to our hotel which was really nice. We would definitely eat here again!

Worst food eating experience I've had in a while. Our waitress was Denise. She was inattentive and rude. Thankfully she was hardly around to make the evening worse. We had to go the bar three times to get our drinks filled. I ordered the whiskey strip and my spouse ordered the seafood Alfredo. The streak was requested medium rare and came rare. The glaze was sickly sweet without a hint of the citrus that the menu advertised. The Alfredo was bland the shrimp rubbery and the advertised lump crab meat was missing altogether. For an $80 meal I expected a lot more. Avoid this place if you're fond of good food.

We stayed at the Best Western last night and went here for dinner, mostly because it was close and had beer on tap. We were seated with menus. The waitress asked us what we wanted to drink. I asked for a drink menu, and she said, "We have a full bar." When we asked about beer and wine lists, she brought an impressive wine list. I wanted a beer, though. When I asked about beer in tap, I was handed the waitress's order pad. "Beers are on the back." No explanations or comments. Perhaps a beer menu or printed list with a little info would help. Or train her to talk to customers about local beers. The chicken wings were good. Hot with plenty of sauce, though they could have been crisper. The beers came with a small soup cup stuffed with two "rolls," more like steamed buns. Not very good. Paul had a club sandwich, which was good. My prime rib sandwich was excellent. The chipotle mayo had a good spice and flavor. Overall the food was tasty, but service was a little off.

From the outside this restaurant looks big and fancy and it's assumed your going to have a decent meal. However all of it changes when u walk through the door! It's an awkward layout for a restaurant almost as if this used to be something else and someone said lets add a few tables and call it a restaurant! Hubs had the chicken fried steak and said it tasted like a deep fried burger party with chalky gravy. I had the pork medallions which actually ended up being three slices of pork loin with apricot jam on top. Needless to say we were both terribly disappointed. Both meals came with out of the can mixed vegetables and an undercooked baked potato. We spent 40 dollars on dinner and probably would have had a better dinner at subway. At those prices they need to step up their game! From the outside this restaurant looks big and fancy and it's assumed your going to have a decent meal. Service is very good here. We always goto goose pit not the restaurant side but it's nice. They do not have a sports package however. They should look into that to get the cliental up. We are appetizer people so their goose juice wings. Extra crispy. Are amazing. With a side of fries. Magnificent. Their burgers are ok. Prime rib sandwich is on point. Trio plate on apps is good too!!

Great beef! Reasonable prices and it's quiet. Plus, they have Coke products. That's a big deal. Definitely worth it

We had dinner there tonight, just for the simple fact we've tried everywhere else in town. We were seated, (my husband, myself, 2 kids), and a larger party sat right after us. They were served first. Our waitress didn't have a personality. She took our drink order and I said we knew what we wanted. My husband got the prime rib, and sweet potato fries, and asked for raw horseradish. She said she didn't know what that was. He said his prime was ok, but his fries were disgusting. I had the shrimp fettuccine, which promised lump crab meat. I got a barely nuke warm slop of noodles with some shrimp and lots of chopped onions. It looked gross and tasted worse. I didn't eat half the dish. My daughter had their spaghetti and meatballs. She said it was ok, but she's only 4 and loves pasta. Meatballs were cold. My son, who is almost 2, is limited in what he can eat and didn't even want the plain noodles we got him. We never got our salads, and the rolls were a little hard. Our waitress, if you can call her that, checked on us once. We paid $90 for a terrible terrible meal. We will NEVER be coming back here.

The atmosphere and layout of the place is about the best thing it has going. Other then that food is below par for the prices you pay. I mean $40 dollars for a 12 oz fillet is outrageous. Food came out warm, but not hot. There french fries were soggy and the price of there booze is pretty high seeming how you're out in the middle of nowhere. I will not be coming back if I'm ever driving through the area again.

The wings were good. Everything else about the place was not. I was not greeted at the door, nor as I found my own table. It was freezing inside. I had to ask for the celery that was supposed to come with the wings. I also had the hummus. It was a 4 oz serving. Store bought. The "olive mix" was a 1 oz container of green olives with red pepper flakes on it. For a lunch menu it seemed high priced. I had to walk up to the bar to pay my tab because my server never came back to the table to run my card. I'm leary of ever going back for dinner after having such a bad experience for lunch. (I even went after lunch rush expecting better service.) I read reviews on other sites and while the management of this place did respond to the bad reviews it is apparent that they have not addressed their very real issues.

This restaurant is amazing. I had one of the best burgers I have ever had. I had a piece of chocolate cake for dessert and it was soooo good. Love the environment as well. It is a great restaurant HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

We got here 8:00 on the Fourth of July. We had a day of it at the scottsbluff national park and were hungry. The steak I had was done to perfection and was really good although I thought 30 dollars was a bit overpriced but I will pay that much for a good steak if it is done right. I very seldom get a steak at a resteraunt that is done to my liking. Big thanks to our waiter, who was actually the bartender, for the great service. I know they were wanting to close up because of the holiday.

My husband and I stopped here one evening while on a road trip through the area. We were sick of eating leftovers in our RV and wanted a nice dinner out. The staff at Cabela's recommended this place. When we walked in and were seated, it looked like a standard mid-priced restaurant. The service was average - not excellent. It took a long while before our server greeted us and offered us beverages, but her service got a bit better after we received beverages. I ordered the chicken fried steak, my husband opted for the sirloin steak. The food was actually quite good. It wasn't some pre-packaged frozen junk food that they just threw in the fryer or on the grill. It looked like it was actually made in house. If we were in the area, I'd most likely eat here again. It's not a top notch dining experience, but I'd rate it above average.

I've been here a few times. We were never in a rush and enjoyed that the waitstaff allowed us to talk and not rush us through our drinks and dinner. They steak was good, nothing stellar but good. Love the chicken sandwich. I will be back.

Been there twice, it's maybe expensive but it's worthy... First time i had the bison steak, totally awsome!! Then the 2nd time i had the big game burger, that too was awsome!!!

I had a few (many) beers, and the prime rib. The prime rib certainly wasnt the best I've had, but it was good, and beats out the other restaurants in the area (all chains). Plus, the staff were attentive and friendly!

I went to Buffalo Point two times during my recent trip to Sidney, Nebraska. The main reason was that we were staying right across the street at the Hampton Inn and you could not beat the convenience. I will say the service was great. The mashed potatoes were fantastic and the green beans with bacon and onions were delicious. My biggest gripe is with the doneness of my steak. I ordered a filet medium rare. The meat itself was very tasty and tender, but it was cooked medium well (actually, I would venture to say it was pretty much "well done"). My sister ordered the same cut/doneness, and hers was cooked exactly like mine. I did not send it back as I was starving and, as I said, the meat itself was good. However, I was blown away that a steakhouse in Western Nebraska could so epically overcook a steak.

We wanted a steak. On the way back home from a long trip to the west coast and had enough of mediocre hamburgers. Waitress gave us the lunch menu which disappointingly didn't include any steak meals. She enquired in the kitchen and offered steaks without all the cooked vegetable options. We were rewarded with a perfect steak meal. My only problem I've found most places in the Midwest is the use of savory seasoning on fries. Would ask for a bag of chips if I wanted a chemical hit of scientific flavor. I've just got to learn to ask for no seasoning and add a little plain ordinary salt and hope they know how to do great fries.

Upon arriving at our first stop in Nebraska we were craving some steak and decided to try this place out during our stay in Sidney. To put it simple, this place has potential but definitely needs to work on a few things.....and on a personal side note, I don't think the head chef should be the mobile Yelp Duke of the restaurant....or try to make another restaurant profile cuz the main one has bad reviews. If you got bad reviews, how bought actually trying to fix these problems instead of trying to cover it up. First impressions of this and I'd think of something similar to an OutBack Steakhouse. But once inside I could tell there were trying to be viewed as a little more upscale, than they actually are.... i.e. covered dining tables, and the cloth napkins, and a few other little tidbits. Our server (young blonde girl) was nice, but could improve on a few things such as: -first introducing herself to the table and then go into her little specials of the night etc ...Hi I'm So-an-So, and I'll be serving you tonight. Tonights specials are blank, blank, and blank...Can I get you something other to drink than water? -she also put 4 side plates on the table and just walked away. She didn't mention that the plates were for the bread, that we didn't receive until we asked another waiter who ended up getting the bread for us. Since it was in the middle of the week, it seemed kinda slow, so maybe we got a little more attention and quicker service than others have experienced...at least in the big dinning area. Probably only about 15-20 other people eating at that time. The four of us each ordered a good meatly meal...2 ribeye's (smaller size) with baked potato, and 2 prime ribs (one large/one small portion size) with a baked and one with a mashed potato. Then 3 salads, and their soup of the day, tortilla soup. Nothin special about the soup or salad, but still good none the less....but we barely got time to enjoy them before our meal. Within 2 minutes of getting the soup/salads our main course meal was being delivered (then the waiter asked if we were done with the salads, when we had only had a few bites), and you know what this tells me.....not made to order....then it took forever for plates to be removed from the table, you'd think they would get the hint if the plate is empty and are off to the side. The baked potatoes were not soft AT ALL and were pretty dry, also unlike what I'm used to from every other restaurant were I've gotten a baked potato, they did not include chives just butter and sour cream(hhmm maybe its a Nebraska thing cuz neither did the other steak restaurant I went to the next day). The steaks were ok at best. Back here in SoCal, when you order a ribeye, you more than likely get a nice about 1" thick beautifully marbled steak. These ribeye's were very thin, not as well marbled and affected the way there were cooked because a med-rare, was more medium. The prime rib was actual cooked perfectly. My med-rare was med rare, however the outer crust was just plain nasty. It was like a super salty/peppery beef jerky type of flavor and just was caked on the whole outer edge of the cut of meat. If they ditched that nasty rub, they'd be doing themselves a favor.....for being in Nebraska, known overall for their Omaha steaks, you'd think a steak restaurant would know how to actually cook a steak. Our overall experience was nice (even saw a great sunset being seated near a window) and I know if was more because I was having a meal with my family, but the food could have been better for the price. I also overheard one of the waiters say she was 19, so I'll ease up a little on the servers, but I think they should get a little more training on how to talk and interact with the customers.

Went here for dinner last night and it was awesome. I got the whiskey glazed chicken with potatoes and side salad. Add a pint of Batch 19 and you're golden. It's right off the interstate so it's easy to access and its right next to Cabela's. Kill two birds with one stone. It's comparable to the other steakhouse in town as far as price and quality, but the decor is a little updated.

My family and I stopped while traveling back to California. Overall the food was awesome and decently priced! We thought the atmosphere on the patio was cool and the bar area seemed like a cool hang out spot for a smaller town! However the customer service is where you lost us. Our waiter (a stockier built guy short brown hair with brown facial hair/middle aged) came off as very flustered and annoyed by having to wait on us. Not only did he come off as rude to our table but he was rude to the other wait staff. It's disappointing to come to a new restaurant and be treated unwelcome by a single waiter who isn't very good with people.

We were staying @ Cabelas rv park and wanted something close. It's an okay place to eat, good, but not impressive. Nice and clean dining area. They did let my wife and I split a rib steak with a $2 charge that included and extra salad and baked potato. What a deal. Steak had good flavor but not hot. Fries were just terrible. Salad okay baked potato hard. Order your steak a little more done than you usually do.

Big very commercial steakhouse. Service, ambience competent but quite expensive. They serve sweet potato fries, good ones, which win me over. In spite of the prices I would expect in the East, the quality of the meat in the filet was poor...this was not a trimmed filer and had a lot of gristle and fat. Could not recommend anyone to order it and would expect the more Western style steaks to be better. I noted to the waiter that Yelp reviews say they overcook meat and my order rare was virtually raw, while my wife's was overdone. I would expect professionally cooked meat in an expensive steak house, but we didn't won't get it here.

Driving through NE we stopped for dinner. The choices to eat were fast food or this place. Living in Chicago I have had my range of good, bad and overpriced steak. This was OK. The steak was well seasoned but I ordered the ribeye medium rare and it came out medium which would be fine but at $26 for a 10oz steak it needs to cooked right. I suppose it is my fault, driving past all those cows I though I would get a good steak at a good price but.... Decent beer selection.

I think the food and drinks are very good here, especially when compared to what's around. Staff is friendly, service is quick. Lots of choices on the menu too. Cold beer. Recommend you give it a try if you are in this area.

It's an okay place to eat, good, but not impressive. Nice and clean dining area. I had the filet mignon, it was tender, but didn't have much flavor, not worth the price.

25 minutes for salads and rolls that we were informed by our server (the hostess who was not happy to be a server this evening) our entrees took another 20 minutes to come out and when they did they were cold. I asked for my meal to be removed. I informed the manager that everyones steaks were cold. He offered to give a 50% off the bill. I didn't feel I should pay anything but I agreed to it. This was a $37 mistake. I would go to the Perkins instead.

Went there for dinner last night and wasn't impressed! Once the manager arrived I finally got my salad. 40 min later I got my steak......the steak was over cooked and had no taste. I then got my appetizer during dinner. Bad place!

Okay, so buffalo point isn't a hotel anymore... It's a restaurant with an adjoining bar called the goose pit. The food was good... Steaks... Med/rare was overdone... But overall very pleasant experience.

The food made me violently ill so I called the restaurant back to let them know to check the crab for food quality. There was no offer for a refund or even an apology. Two tables got up and left while we were there because the serving staff apparently forgot about them. The steak my husband has ordered had no flavor and I would put it on par with Denny's. In the end I didn't get to eat anything else on my plate and was obviously not too happy that I paid for something I didn't enjoy at all. Save your time, your money and your stomach and eat somewhere else. The Perkins was great, friendly staff and I didn't have to worry about food poisoning.

Pleasant service, but food need taste/flavor! Prime rib had zero flavor, baked potato wasn't completely cooked. Wife had philly, it had more flavor at half the price.

Our server did a great job, and the restaurant was clean, and inviting. It was not very busy, but they seated us right by the kitchen door. My husband ordered chicken fried steak, but got chicken fried chicken, he still thought it was delicious though, and loved the rolls, and that they had Dorothy Lynch, his fav. salad dressing!, the veggie was squash, and he's not a fan, so I ate it, And it was wonderful, cooked just right!(more on that later!). I selected the prime rib sandwich, and sweet potatoe fries. They gave me marshmallow creme to dip fries. Sandwich was fine, fries were purchased frozen and fried but cold in the middle... All was ok until about 4 hrs later when I got extremely ill. It was not the flu.....normally this has happened after eating at a salad bar....all I can think of is the squash, that meal was all I'd had all day.

I agree with all you guys! When I went to the place with 8 coworkers I was chomping at the bit for a die hard steak. It has been a month at least since I was working in south Kansas and had some damn good beef. Fortunately I may not be a smart man... but I do know food...! When we got in the place and it took so long for drinks and salads I was under the impression that it may be wise to not order a steak... I am a genius, and my colleges were not so lucky. I ended up going with the fish and chips at a steakhouse. How can u mess up fried stuff lol :). We ate in the dinning hall instead of bar, who knows the experience may have been better if we would have ate in the bar area but I would never recommend trying any steaks at this place. If you get Judy as a server she will turn a bad time in to a bad ass time, I will only go back if I am ever in the area because of her!

We were staying at the Hampton Inn next to this restaurant, so the convenience led us to eat here, despite several poor reviews. The first thing we noticed was that no one was at the front to greet us. We waited a couple of minutes and finally just went into the bar area and sat ourselves. I grabbed a couple of menus from the hostess stand myself. My husband and I were shocked at the high prices for the type of venue! They were pricing the meals close to what we would expect for fine dining... and this was NOT fine dining. Our food was okay... nothing to write home about... unless we wanted to write home about how ridiculously overpriced it was. My sirloin was a little tough and chewy, but the flavor was okay. My baked potato was dry and not very hot. The vegetables were lame. The only redeeming part of our experience here was that our waitress was very good. Sadly, however, I would probably get a microwavable meal from Walmart next time we're in the area before coming back here.

Driving across the country, spent the night in Sidney, stopped in the Buffalo Point Steakhouse for dinner. This is not a "real" steakhouse, it's more like a very expensive Denny's and actually Denny's is much better. The poppers tasted exactly like those purchased frozen from the supermarket. Chicken sandwich was ehh. High prices, mediocre food. However, a very nice staff serves the mediocre food.
