Healthy Meal suggestions for which-wich-

Which Wich is my all time favorite sub shop in town. I was afraid that the other place that opened a few doors down would hurt business but it does not seem that way as of now. I always got for the Wicked that is their signature sandwich. Much Love !! Piled high with a bunch of different meats and 3 kinds of cheese ( you pick your own ) . I love the brown bag concept.. you can take your time selecting your ingredients so you don't feel so rushed standing in line barking your toppings to the person behind the counter. Saves so much time. they are really good at looking it over and making sure you filled it our correctly " Hot or not " .. they have great toppings including Olive Salad, house chips, crispy onions and a bunch of other stuff you don't see at those other places. They do have a stamp card and the stamps add up quickly so you can get a free sub. Go on Tuesdays when its double stamp day ( was anyway don't know if it still is ) . My only grip is the kids meals. my son chooses the grilled cheese without crust and its very small ( even with the crust its small ) they just use regular bread and its only half a sandwich,, my son likes it but always still ends up hungry afterwards. The staff is fantastic,, the gentlemen who appears to be the owner always seems to be there and he is very kind. The staff makes me always want to come back and not go to those other nasty places in town. Tip,, sign up for the newsletter and they will send you a coupon for a free sub on your Birthday, nice little perk :)

I certainly will not be a regular because $13.50 for a medium-sized sandwich, a small bag of chips, and a drink is excessively outrageous. But, the sandwich was very good and since you have corned beef I am sure I will come back eventually. The corned beef itself was very tender and juicy, sliced thin just how I like it. The bread was decent, I went with the wheat variety this time and it had a good amount of chew to it. The "house chips" were actually a bag full of crumbs, but the seasoning was good. I know this is being picky, but is that ice machine supposed to double as a sno cone maker? The ice came out in really tiny chunks that just melted too fast and watered down my root beer. The ordering process is sort of strange your first time in, you have to fill out what you want on a brown bag and hand it to the cashier. I must say that I did enjoy hearing them say "corned beef ready for Josh" when they were done making the sandwich (which took about ten minutes, by the way).

More like 4.5 stars. The sandwiches are great. They offer a great variety and some of the sandwiches are kind of unique. The bread is awesome. I like how you write on a paper bag, so less likely for them to screw up your order. They don't take too long either, even when they are busy. The place is really clean. This is a big deal for me. I always see someone cleaning something. The only reason I give 4.5 instead of 5 is the price is a little steep for sandwiches(when you can get a foot long at subway for $5).... But not horrible enough to keep me from eating there

This was the very first restaurant that I tried in Omaha, and I love this place. It's a build-your-own sandwich place, like subway, except you choose based on a paper bag check-box selection system. If your sandwich sucks, guess whose fault it is! HA Pricier than Subway and Jimmy Johns, but if you hit the flavor jackpot in your custom creation, it's totally worth it. My current fave: Chicken pesto with pesto sauce, ranch, spicy ranch, spicy mayo, cucs, spinach, banana peppers, bacon, caramelized onions, shoestring onions, olives, all on the warm wheat bread. Be sure to utilize the punch card so your tenth punch earns you a free sammie!

Confusing concept at first (at least it was for me) but after a worker cleared up the confusion, I loved everything about Which Wich. I was drawn to the classics and being a fan of gyros, I went for the gyro sandwich. DELICIOUS. The meat was tender and I thought the tzatziki sauce was awesome. Even without having extra meat, the portion they gave me was very generous. I got my sandwich with onions and lettuce and toasted. The toppings were fresh and the bread was golden, crisp, and flakey in a good way. Although it wasn't on pita bread, it was very good. And the cookie I ordered seemed like it came right from the oven, melted and chocolate-y, it was amazing! This a great place for a quick lunch. Service is fast and friendly. Restaurant is a little small, but this is a good lunch for to-go as well.

Very unique way to order a sandwich. I a vegetarian so there isn't too much to screw up on a sandwich for me. Each experience was good. Honestly just don't ever get out that direction to dine here more often.

I don't know if I like taking so much responsibility for the creation of my food when I'm paying somebody else to assemble it. Honestly I was a little stressed out and ended up with a pretty plain sandwich as a result... Then I blamed myself and felt disappointed. Not as traumatic as it sounds, but definitely left me questioning the format. I'm looking forward to the next location at 114th & Dodge so I can practice my sandwich composition skills.

I have been here at least half a dozen times, and the food is always great. However, there is always a long wait for your food. My fily and I arrived at 1220 for lunch, the order line was empty, but the pickup line was 15 deep. We ordered anyways hoping for the best, 40 min later we had our food. I suppose this is a creative way to beat the lunch rush. The food is good, but with such a lunch driven business, i would think the staffing and order expedition would be better.

Since the first time I tried these sandwiches I've kept coming back for more. It's a little bit more than subway & blimpie but in my humble opinion, it's worth a try and worth the satisfaction of a carefully made sandwich that comes with each bite. My absolute favorite sandwich here is the Caprese on wheat, toasted. I add some avocado and oil & vinegar and this is my go to sandwich. They may say my name wrong when they call my name but they make my sandwich right every time. Another fave about which wich is their served warm chocolate chip cookies that hits the spot that my sweet tooth craves after a great sandwich. And lastly, their homestyle seasoned potato chips are worth a try too. Located on 72nd near wal mart and kohl's which wich is the place to go when you're feeling like a healthy sandwich. It gets a little crowded during lunch time but the wait time is fairly short. Another tip, get the punch card and remember that tuesdays is double punch day! The workers are friendly and nice too!!

It is a FUN sandwich shop. You walk in and there are bags so you can mark on your bag what type of sandwich you would like and what bread you would like your sandwich on as well as a condiment selection. It was fun to have so many choices. No prices were posted anywhere so when our meals were ready I was shocked by the price. They are very expensive. The sandwiches are made quickly and correctly. They taste wonderful. Don't think I will pay that much to eat there again though.

Since this store opened here in Omaha I have really enjoyed it. Having many different varieties to choose from is a plus for me! There milkshakes are also very good!

This may come off as a bit of a boggle but I am actually rather glad My Special Lady Wife and I were greated at the door by a "As if, whatever" feminine product with a 1000-yard stare that possessed the inability to adaquately articulate herself in a fashion that would show and semblance of a proper American Education. In short she seemed like she didn't want to be there. But her loss was our gain since she was unable to explain the fundamental workings of how this place works we were left to forge ahead alone and discover the wonders this place truly has with a little imagination and a hunger. Allow me to beg your indulgence as I escort you through my ventures in sandwich Creationism. Upon sidestepping the mental trappings of our enlighted scholar of a host we took to the wall that displayed just what was drooled at us a few moments earlier. All in all it was actually quite straight forward. There are these paper bags that represent the type of meat or specialty sandwich you wish to use as your canvas. From there each little baggie has options...so many options. From the type of bread, how long you want that bread, veggies, toast, no toast, spreads, dressing, salt, peppers, oils, and if you want an orphaned child with it. There are even extra cards for orderin malts and salads if you so choose. Once you have enhanced your sandwich to the optimal settings to satiate your undying hunger you bring it to the counter minion who inputs your order and takes your currency and begs your patience as you wait in their gestation quarters. In due time your sandwich/salad/shake are presented to you and you proceed to incubate them in your entrails. I wish I could say our first visit as symphonic as I have portrayed above but I must degress that it was anything but so. They were apparently understaffed and our sandwiches took a bit of a while to come out and did not even come out to us at the same time. I felt almost embarrassed to eat my sandwich as My Special Lady Wife had not recieved hers. Whens her finally did arrive I was able to unregrettable tear into my prize, using it as the vessel of my fustration towards the spotty service that had yet to present us with our shakes. Sandwiches were consumed and after a word with the house master soon the shakes were in our hands. The meal, though a bit in disarray, was still highly capable of erasing some of the memories of this service. Everything popped with good flavors and was fresh. The bread was not bland and the pesto spread was very appeasing. We had our qualms but all in all we were happily satisfied. I would eventually return a few weeks later so see if things were up to par on the service side and am happy to report my food was matched but better service so kudos to them for making me believe that the beleagured serviced I received before was just a hiccup and bad timing. I will return for more sandwich endeavors and recommend everyone whet your appetite and this fine establishment. Your Welcome. Eat up Minions!

This place really knows how to make great sandwiches and it ads a unique experience to the process. I take people to this location routinely and I have always been impressed. Food quality is great. Atmosphere is great. Just love this place!

Let me tell you about the greatest sandwich chain in America. Which Wich is heaven. Have you ever thought while eating a sub par sandwich somewhere that..."Hm, this turkey bacon sub could really use some ______"? Well at Which Wich, you decide how to build the perfect melange of flavors and toppings to your sandwich. You choose the base of your sandwich: Pork, Beef, Poultry, Breakfast, Seafood etc...and you build it, on a paper bag, with a checklist and a red Sharpie. Genius. Bacon? Check. Avocado? Check. Peanut Butter? Check. Banana Peppers? Check. Anything you want. Seriously. Then you put your name on the bag, and you wait in antici....Pation! Until they call your name and you can devour this perfectly crafted sandwich. I discovered this place in Huntsville, AL and I cried when I saw the glowing yellow sign in Papillion. I love Which Wich, and you will too!!!

Which Wich has a pretty good idea here, and for the most part it delivers. When you first walk in, you are greeted with the ordering bar to your left, and the dining area to your right. At the ordering bar, there is a 10 different sub sacks. Each one corresponds to a grouping of Wich types on the menu. They provide you with red markers to make your selections for your sandwich of choice (which you do by filling in the appropriate ovals on the bag), in addition to choices of toppings and condiments. Then you take your bag over to the cashier (and select your chips, if applicable) and get rung up. I had the BBQ Pork w/ slaw, the "house chips" and a soda. First the BBQ Pork sandwich: Wow. Freaking delicious. Pork sliced like lunch meat was piled on bread, with BBQ, cheddar and a slathering of cole slaw. One of the things that concerned me when ordering this was that the combination of coleslaw fluid and BBQ would cause a huge mess when I opened up the bag...but nay. To my surprise and appreciation, there was no mess. The coleslaw was a perfect combination of creamy, but not runny. The combination of BBQ and coleslaw base had a familiar taste but I couldn't figure out where I had had it before (and still can't). Needless to say, I'll be back for the sandwich alone, and probably won't be trying anything else on the menu. The House Chips: Basically this is a little plastic baggy (inside of a brown paper sack) of wavy lays with black pepper and salt added. They were more crunchy than typical lays, and less greasy so that was nice. The Beve-If you get the super sized drink, its one you can keep, and if you bring it back in on your next trip, you get .50 cents off your drink. They had a selection of Coke products and lemonade. They also had shakes and plenty of other sandwiches (overall I think they had 40-50 sandwiches to choose from). One highlight was an "Elvis" sandwich, which looked like it came with bananas, bacon and some other stuff. Not for me, but an option for the adventurous eater. You also have the option to have any sandwich on a bed of lettuce, instead of a bun, for you carb watchers. Total cost for a 10" sub, chips and large drink: 10.50. Not bad considering what other, lower quality sub shops (who shall remain nameless) charge for the same thing.

Do you speak Wich? I do now! Allow me to give you a little lesson. Which wich which-witch wich whhich wich!!! (translation: Which Wich, the new sandwich place in town, is witchin and definitely worth checking out wiooootches!!!) It's difficult for me to give chain places good ratings because everything is mass produced and SO average I want to vom. WW actually surprised me with some of their selection and I feel like I wanted to get six sandwiches just to taste their deli rainbow! Roy G. Biv - get in my belly. So what makes this place unique??? The whole ordering system is just plain fun. When you walk in, you grab a bag by category. So if you want something with chicken, you grab the chicken bag. Then you mark all the crap you want to stuff your Sammie with. Want to double your meat? Done!! Onions?? Caramelized, red or crispy strings!!? So it kind of sounds like Quiznos or Subway right, because you get to customize your Sammie... While this is true, can someone please tell me what Quizons will make you a Monte Cristo?!?! I'll tell you - NONE because it's only at WW!! What now Quizno witches!!!! Please let me list some of the interesting sandwiches available at WW: Gyro with tzatziki sauce Sammie Thank you Turkey - Turkey Sammie with cranberry and stuffing Surf and Turf - Crab salad and beef Black Bean Patty - For all you vegan heads Muffaletta - Salami, ham and olive spread - Stick this muff in me anytime! Elvis Wich - Peanut Butter, Bacon, Honey and Banana.... Are you effing kidding me?!?! YU-UM! (yes, that was the two syllable 'yum') Monte Cristo - Ham, turkey, grape jelly and powdered sugar... This one will grape you in the mouth!!! Huevos Racheros - Egg, salsa and jalapeno - AAAAYAIYAIYAIYAAAAAAIIIII!!! Keep in mind there is a whole other slew of sammies to pick from but seriously? How was I suppose to choose from the Monte, Elvis and Muff-in-my-mouth-a?!?!?!!?!! After careful debate and some sammie soul searching, I decided to give the Monte Cristo a chance. The funny thing about these sammies is that you can still add any toppings you want. You want ham, turkey, grape jelly, red onions, mustard, jalapenos, LSD and eye of goblin... go ahead - NO ONE can stop you!!! I added pepper jack cheese to my M-Cristo giving it an interesting and almost inappropriate kick and saltiness to combat the sticky yet sweet grape jelly. What else... so they have homemade potato chips which taste like 1000mg of NaCl yumminess that are also quite crispy. Oh and I should have tried a fat free guilt free vegan free range milkshake or cookies... but that will have to wait. Now... for the best part... the price is very reasonable! For 7 inches... YES one more inch than the competitors, you get all 7 inches shoved in your for $4.95. I mean... I know size matters, but I doubt you really need 12 inches mmmmk! But for you hungry hippos out there a 10.5 incher is $6.95 and for your size queens, a 14 incher (like really?) is $8.95. Good luck with that monster slab-o-sandwich! So why three stars and not four? While I like this place and it ranks high for chains, it's still not Star Deli or Le Quartier. But if you're in Omaha's neighbor, Papillion, and you feel the need to stuff your face with an interesting sammie, Which Wich will cure your sand-itch. Get it?! Hee hee hee hee... ha. ha...... ha............... ok I'm done.

Entrance: Never have been here so the girl offered to tell us how it worked...only I couldn't hear her because she didn't give us the courtesy of actually looking at us when explaining anything. The order: We each ordered our sandwiches and a shake. I was half way through my sandwich before getting my shake. My partner finished his 10" sandwich before ever getting his...because they forgot to make it. When he inquired about it, he was lied to about why he didn't get it...um, don't play us for dumb, just say you forgot. The food (what really matters): Despite the lack of service quality, the sandwiches are definitely worth it!!! Sorry any other sandwich business around here...you have been squashed! Order what you want via the paper bag, choose your toppings, condiments (try the pesto, it's amazing), cheeses, veggies, etc...

I don't consider myself hyper critical but after reading several reviews along a coworkers recommendation, I decided to give Which Wich a try. And to even agree with the reviews on this establishment would be ridiculous. I ordered their R&D Shrimp PO Boy experiment and was very fortunate to be sitting at my table as this was the most expensive, flavorless, totally disgusting sandwich I've ever eaten. I'm disappointed I didn't include a picture of this masterpiece for this post. After the first bite my toasted, sloppy sandwich exploded and the only added items were sauce and coleslaw which was hardly evident. Needless to dwell on this terrible first experience it's safe to assume giving it one star is deserving, maybe the SunChips. But I'll try anything once so maybe my cost would be better served on a real meal vice sandwich.

Two adults and four boys (ages 7 to 13) - everyone was happy with their meal. 51 sandwiches are just the starting point - everything is customizable. You can even get everything as a salad if you prefer. This is not a place for those who are challenged by decisions/choices - but is a great place if you like sandwiches on hoagie/hero type bread!

I was craving a french dip so went here with a co-worker. Never been before and I thought the ordering system was fun. The french dip was very good but the au jus was so salty. I'll probably go back but maybe not for the french dip.

I have always been a fan of sub shops like Quiznos, Subway, and Jimmy Johns. Once I tried Which Wich, I was hooked! Fill out your order on a brown paper bag and marker, but don't get stuck with the huge selection and number of choices. There are many dozens of sandwiches and countless combinations of possibilities - from the traditional club to Shrimp 'Po Boy, Ham & Egg, or Black Bean Vegetarian. Choose your ingredients, your extras and wait for the magic! You can get your subs toasted too. It's fantastic food although you'll pay a dollar or two more than you would at the other sub shops. Personally, I think it's worth it!

I love this place! Best Sub Shop in Omaha Hands down.

You see Ive been to many a Which Wich and when I saw one was in the Omaha area I grabbed dear husband and off we went for lunch. We were both quite excited to have this tasty sandwich franchise in O and I have to admit I got goose bumps when we spotted WW. I ordered the black bean patty on toasted wheat. And the great thing about WW is all the fun topping combinations ... on mine it was hummus, tomato, avocado, lettuce, cucumber, red onions, oil, vinegar and oregano. Hello yummy! Even my "I have to have meat on my sandwich" husband said he would order this veggie version. Husband ordered the Grinder and fell silent after the first bite ... its his favorite and he can't seem to menu wander ... perhaps now that we have a WW in our neck of the woods, this will change. So many ingredients - so many options - so get inventive, grab a Wich sack, a marker and be the master of your Wich. And speaking of inventive ... feel free to get creative with your name ... heck - write down your favorite cartoon character - something - anything fun! On our first visit few wrote down fun names and only when the owner himself announced orders were the names shouted out with any flair. Hopefully this entertaining practice will catch on ... I may just order as Princess Leia next time ... we'll see. :) Only bad thing ... parking ... do yourself a favor and park in the Lowe's parking lot and brave crossing the street. Lunch traffic was pretty heavy and it isn't worth the frustration and crazy drivers to wander about desperately hunting for a spot.

This place has the best sandwiches in town, a little more expensive then subway but the taste makes all the difference. The subs are warmed like Quiznos but the taste is so much better. If you have Potbelly sandwiches in Chicago before you will know what I am talking about, simply the best.

  • Colin S.

Good food. My favorite is the French Dip. I like the concept of customizing your order on a paper bag with a sharpie(I wonder how many get stolen?). I'm glad the metro has a new sandwich chain, JJ's and Subway are getting old. Anyways, Jimmy John's gives you more bang for your buck, but this place has more variety and the ability to customize your order. Taste-wise, this place is on par with Jimmy Johns but superior to Subway. If you're sick of JJ's than this place is a refreshing change.

Good sandwich place for lunch. There are many options depending on your mood. I had turkey and avocado toasted with cheese, lettuce, spinach, tomato and black olives. It was yummy. I just wish there was a location further west. Will make the drive and return though.

The best thing about which which is that it takes all of my favorite sandwich joints (Pot Belly's, Quiznos, Jimmy Johns) and combines them into a one stop shop for a great sandwich. Not only are all my favorites sandwich shops combined under one roof but Which Wich makes a better sandwich than any of em!

    (4)
  • Daniel E.

So good. I've been coming to which wich for awhile now and I've always been extremely happy with the service and how great the sandwiches are. You pick a bag and choose your favorite ingredients and from there you wait for them to create the best sandwich ever. On my last trip I was helped by a gentleman named Jeff who has extremely good customer service skills. I never saw him stop moving during my meal and he even came by to make sure everything tasted good. Give that man a raise! Awesome sub shop and I will definitely be a lifelong customer!

  • Alyssa M.

Beyond delicious! Fun- so you get a brown paper bag --- with the corresponding sandwich type.... So I picked a turkey brown bag.... then you use a marker and check mark the toppings, cheese, sauces, bread etc. The meat and cheese are super fresh... Like they might cut it there... not sure... but it taste as if. Extremely great and an easy first place in the world of sub sandwiches! But it all depends on the fixings you put on your sandwich! Only complaint--- I went in the winter and it was SUPERRRR cold! They need to bum up the heat. I would not return until the weather gets nicer because I was sitting in their eating my COLD CUT sandwich and shaking!! I ate and ran back into my car to warm up. I looked around and everyone else was in their heavy winter coats eating their subs... totally not acceptable! Lastly, the workers were all very kind!

  • Jeremy R.

We didn't realize they were closing early, but the ladies working behind the counter didn't complain about us coming in and ordering. They made all 5 of our sandwiches and they were wonderful! I wish we had a shop around our neck of the woods! Very tasty!

    (5)
  • Tutti S.

I absolutely loved my grinder (genoa salami, pepperoni & capicola) with all my chosen fixings. It may be a bit confusing the first time, but it is so cool! You take a brown bag and mark your choices on the bag. The ingredients are soooo fresh, tasty and high quality! This is my new sandwich place. Yummy and fresh. Fresh and yummy. Be warned, it's very cold in there. Bring a warm coat.

This is the third time they have just given me bacon on bread. Who thinks that is ok for a sandwich?

    (2)
  • Matt M.

First time here and we loved this place. Granted this is just a sandwich shope but they do a great job. I ordered the signature sandwich (toasted) - The Wicked - and it was great. My gf ordered a toasted egg salad with avocado and bacon and she loved it. If we are in the area again at lunchtime we will definitely stop in again.

  • David P.

Best subs in Omaha. I recommend the turkey sub, cold, with almost every kind of cheese they offer. Also their bacon is amazing! If you want dessert, get a vanilla shake with double flavoring. Super-intense vanilla. Mmm.

  • Slash M.

I've been here twice so far. They only serve the best sandwiches in Omaha. It was way more than I was hoping for. Who thought a simple sandwich could be such a tasty meal. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed.

  • Bob A.

This is my second time here and it is quickly becoming my favorite sandwich place. Sandwiches are tasty and prepared to order and the menu has a great selection of unusual and tasty choices. Ordering can be a bit of hassle (just go around the people staring at the menu) and it takes a little time for your sandwich to come up but variety and taste carry the day! Give it a shot!
