Darlings....it should never take 35 minutes for one slice of pizza and a water. Attempted several times to allow for redemption but each time it's ever more disappointing. The taste is fresh...but at what cost? I have a life!

I have been to Zio's on Center twice. I really do enjoy the food especially the taco pizza. I also enjoy the atmosphere within the restaurant I love all the wall art. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the service has always been slow each time I went. When I say slow I don't mean just a few minutes, I mean it took 40 minutes the first trip and 55 minutes the second trip just to get the pizza we ordered. I should maybe give them 3 stars, but I just let the waiter get the 3 stars in their tip.

Love this pizza. Service and speed is on the decline. Came with my son for lunch and it took 40 minutes to get a small pizza. No apologies. Ridiculous. At least it came out hot.

I would of rated this higher because I had such high hopes but I was let down just slightly. I loved that you could order by the slice but if I wanted a medium it went from 2-3 dollars a slice to 18-20 dollars for just a medium big jump. The place was very hot but busy so mainly was to ovens. I noticed every waiter in there was sweating due to working so hard in hotness except ours. He would disappear for 10 minutes at a time and was rude. Every time we needed something like a refill or the check or even boxes to go we had to basically trip him to get him to stop. I would go back because it was so good but other than that uhhlg!

Pizza was uneven. It has been better. One sinks down into the bench seat in the booth. Something wrong with that whole setup. Insulation/batting in the exposed and unfinished metal ceiling cuts down on the noise. Smart. I like pizza. Yes I do. I like pizza. How 'bout you? We like pizza. Yes we do. We like pizza. How 'bout you? Credit: Pizza Kids.

I was excited to try Zio's. What a disappointment. Tasteless sauce, thick crust, which is billed as thin crust. After a couple of bites, I was so happy that I only bought 2 slices instead of the whole pie.

When i first moved to Omaha, I loved Zio's pizza, while nothing like a NY pizza as they claim, it was pretty good. But something has changed, the meat is very very salty and the sauce just doesn't have much flavor to it, a bottle of Prego would be better and the crust is neither crispy or soft, it's just there to hold the salty meat and flavorless sauce. I don't now if there was a management or recipe change, but they need to go back to what they did 9 years ago when i first came to town. And the one i went to on West Center was dirty to boot, cups, papers, plates and bowls all over in the area where they take orders and the soda fountain looked like it could use some cleaning as well. Considering there was just me and 2 other people in the store, i would think they had some extra time to clean.

I think this Zio's believes its own TV commercials too much. It's not "great NY style pizza." I've been to New York and have gotten better pizza from a street vendor. Zio's sauce used to be really flavorful but now it tastes like it is straight out of an institutional sized can. The crust is nothing special either, particularly on a whole pie vs. a single slice. We haven't found the service to be as bad as other reviewers here, but we tend to not go at busy times. There's better pizza elsewhere in W Omaha.

A little wait on the pizza and missing the sauce probably due to the extra time spent cooking the pizza... but over all tasty Ive had worse visits... Im still waiting while she takes three other peoples orders while my order sits on the shelf ..... my review went from 4-3 about to slide into a 2 shortly

Service was HORRIBLE! It was my choice to try Zio's for my birthday dinner... I regretted it almost immediately! It took a half hour for the server to take our drink order and then another 20minutes for her to come back out and apologize for not having anymore orange soda then another 15 minutes before our drinks came out. We placed our appetizer order at that time and waited 30 minutes for salads and chz bread and wings to come out.. Our dinner order took an hour and a half after that to come out. Food was nasty. I'll never be back.

My family love's Zio's - we have been going there for many, many years. During the 13 years we were away from Omaha, our first stop when we came into town was Zio's. Great Pizza, Great Service - always a great deal!

Our server was trying to be witty and trendy, when she should have just been focusing on her job. We waiting 10 plus minutes for a pitcher of beer. My friend (who was not drinking from the pitcher) had to ask twice for a glass of water. The pizza was good (I mean, its pizza for crying out loud), but the calzone that my friends daughter ordered was gross. It looked like there was ricotta in it, but the ricotta tasted bad. Yuck.

well. I am glad Zio's opened such a lovely location close to my new place. I used to go to a Zio's near 40th or so and Dodge where my grandparents lived, this was back in 1989. this Zio's pizza was nothing like I remembered and considering I try to eat organically that wasn't a bad thing, I was pleased that on their menu was my favorite words including unbleached flour and fresh ingredients. normally I don't care for garlic bread from hoagie rolls and I need to remember that's how Omaha "rolls" ( haha) when it comes to my beloved garlic bread most of the time, it but Zios garlic bread and the hoagie rolls were very tasty I would like to try the meatball sub since they use the bread for it too, and I liked the fresh marinara dipping sauce with the 4 cheese garlic bread. I also ordered a medium hamburger and Canadian bacon pizza and all my food came out to me piping hot. had to wait until the pizza cooled a bit.. finally I got a piece transferred to my plate and tried a forful ( toppings were heavy) marinara was good nice herb taste. toppings were fresh and pizza was cheesy. I liked the crust it had an excellent chew to it and although the toppings did make me eat half by fork the end crust I could pick up, It was good enough to make me glad I stopped at Zios and i'm not the biggest fan of new York style pizza but I would eat at Zio's again. my server was attentive and friendly and the place was comfy to be in. the prices were reasonable and I have leftover pizza for tomorrow. I like the area ( near 132nd and Center) good parking and easy to get into and get out of without having to make too many turnarounds. i'm making my way through my list of places I want to try and i'm glad I took this time on a rather frigid night- to satisfy my pizza and garlic bread craving and I thank Zio's for doing just that. yum!

I have heard a lot about this place from friends and family. We chose to visit on a Saturday evening about 8:30. Not very crowded, they were mopping the section in the back. Come to find out, my friends and family weren't talking about this particular location. And I saw why. We sat down and had someone come over and take a drink order. We gave our order and then she went away. She brought out our waters and took our food Order. Never having been there; for 2 slices of pizza, 2 salads and cheese bread it took about 23 minutes for the pizza slices and salads to arrive. I don't know of that is normal or not. We were talking and didn't care. My salad came out with the pizza just as I asked. She forgot to bring out the beer I ordered so I told her to cancel it. She said that she was sorry "I forgot about it". The pizza was average, it was burnt on the bottom and the crust was hard, not a typical New York style pizza. She said the bread was on its way. I was not given silverware like the other person in my party So I went to ask for it. When she came out to ask about how the pizzas were, about 5 minutes after they were delivered, I told her to cancel the cheese bread. She said it was coming out, I asked her to cancel it and told her I was already done with my salad that I didn't want it. She dropped the bill off and made a point to say that she didn't charge me for the beer she never brought nor for the cheese bread I didn't get. Guess we will try the location in the Old Market. I hope it is better.

Not my favorite Zio's in town, but still better than no Zio's at all. :)
