Eh, I guess I can say I've now experienced Valentino's but I can also say with confidence that I don't really want to return. My other half and I stopped in here on a whim for the dinner buffet one night. Now, my other half is a fan of Valentino's pizza but normally opts for carryout. He hadn't eaten the buffet for years so neither of us really knew what to expect. Two adult buffets, one soda, and a water was around $28. Frankly, the buffet is outrageously overpriced. Now, I understand this place is a buffet and you're paying for the idea that you can eat 7 slices of pizza, a plate of pasta, a platter of bread sticks, and a salad loaded with 3 cups of ranch dressing. In reality, though, you're not going to put away all that food and will forget when to stop eating because you must "get your monies worth". With that said, it was still too pricey. The salad bar was not very fresh and the lettuce had some brown spots, there were no carrots, cucumbers or tomatoes, and the Italian dressing was pretty much pure vinegar. There were those good awful nasty red cardboard bits known as Bacos in lieu of an y real bacon bits. There were at least pepperoncinni peppers. The croutons were never replenished the entire time we were here. The pizza and breadsticks were good, not great, but they were quite hard to come by. The pizza are 10 inches at most and only 4 to 5 pizzas were on the buffet at a time. However, pepperoni was always gone in a flash. Getting a slice of pepperoni was like getting a cheap TV on black Friday. At prime dinner time on a Friday night only 6 bread sticks were put on the buffet at a time. Six! This place just isn't for me.

Realistically, the Valentino's buffet is definitely a case of quantity over quality - the breadsticks are good enough, the pizza's okay (but not as good as regular Valentino's pizza), and the pasta, desserts, and everything else just aren't that great. The atmosphere's not particularly pleasant, the employees aren't especially helpful, and in general it's not somewhere you'd want to go often. But for whatever reason, this place works really well for large groups. Maybe it's the experience of eating such vast and varied amounts of food; maybe it's the fact that you lose any social inhibitions when you see what the other people in the restaurant are eating; either way, it's a pretty good place to go for a low-key family gathering. Long story short: don't come to the Valentino's buffet for an anniversary date, but feel free to throw your great-aunt's birthday party here.

Man this place has went down hill over the years. Please do not call this Italian food. Save your money buy a stovers frozen pasta dish. Bad selection and not one thing was good except Val's pizza. I hate bashing places but no proud owner would put out product of this quality and poor service.

Valentino's has gone downhill in recent years. The pizza is pretty much as I remember it. It can be tasty and there's something about being able to eat as much as you want. But make no mistake about it, it is the Wal Mart of pizza joints. This is reflected in the cleanliness of the establishment (or lack thereof) and the many of it customers. Tonight, it was especially filthy and the kids working here didn't seem to care. I'm sure I'll go back but I won't be thrilled about it.

Valentino's Pizza started in Lincoln by what is now called East Campus. Maybe it has always been called that, but it was built on to an addition of an old home. They have a decent flavor and taste just like a Nebraskan pizza should. Very down the middle in terms of taste/texture. This locations boasts one of the things a lot of people like. A buffet. If you want a few different slices, go ahead. Maybe some spaghetti? sure thing. Lasagna? yep. Not the best, but far from the worst. Expect many of the plates to be mostly consumed and prepare to take all that you want when it is replenished. If you don't somebody else will

Whoah! Is this really still Valentinos? This visit was remarkably good. The food wasn't gourmet, but was fresh and tasted very good. Selection was quite good. Even my old favorite, turkey pot roast, was on the buffet. The service was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Sanitation was superb: hand sanitizer is available (a must at any buffet...just think of all the unwashed boogery hands that have been touching those serving spoons!), equipment was kept clean (they even shut down the frozen yogurt machine for cleaning, disappointing a small herd of kids), and the bathroom was spotless. They have an excellent, well separated group room, which I think would work well for business meetings as well as parties.

The food is edible, definitely didn't come here expecting anything "authentic" by any means. I did however expect some level of cleanliness and at least mediocre service. When we got to the counter to pay, we were overcharged so the cashier had to get a manager to void the transaction, which was annoying that we were overcharged in the first place but as long as it was taken care of that was fine. However, when the cashier left to get her manager she left the cash drawer OPEN! How could you let one of your employees who is that irresponsible handle your money? This location was also completely out of drink glasses and we weren't given any other options after we had already paid for them. Thank goodness our waitress was more competent than the cashier and she went to the back and brought out ones that had just been washed. Oh and it was also filthy inside. I know it's a buffet with a lot of customers but I expect some level of cleanliness.

My problem with Valentino's is that they don't publish their nutrition information. I know that most folks going to a buffet are not going to count calories, but some of us do. We also count carbs and sodium. It would be nice to know what selections would be best if we are going out with friends and want more than a lettuce salad. I was told that it's coming but who knows when that will be? I'll stick to Domino's, Godfather's, or Pizza Hut since they all have complete nutitional info. The food is not that different in taste.

OK Start off let's be honest it's a freaking Buffet! If your looking for the best pizza in Omaha this not it. But they have a good Buffet. Pizza, Taco, Salad, Other dishes, and deserts. My friends and I go there on occasion, we enjoy going to an all you can eat place, (Yes I'm a Fattie) The staff, that you actually interact with, is always nice. It's mainly the cashiers you don't really see a waiter type person, they are very good about being invisible. It is not normally over crowed, and the screaming children you get at the other pizza buffet places is not as bad. They do not have the arcade and games and rides other places have, but they serve decent buffet style food. Go there try them out and see for yourself.

I like Valentino's pizza for a change every so often. Awhile back, for a promotion, they featured a zestier sauce as an alternative to their sweet, fennel-tasting sauce. I did prefer that alternate sauce over their standard sauce; wish they would bring back that option. I absolutely LOVE their spinach pasta salad with the salami, would love to get the recipe. I think they try to overdo their selections on the buffet...they should seriously consider ditching the Chinese food options because they are definitely not good. That said, I'll agree this location could do with more cleanliness and closer attention paid to the buffet; however, I chalk it up to the part of town it's in because I have been in other Val's that are not as dirty/poor service. So I won't take away a star for that; there's only so much you can do depending on your clientele and your employee pool.

I missed the good ol' days back in college when my buddies and I go to Valentino's lunch buffet on the weekend, so we don't have to eat dinner and save some $$, because we were broke as typical college kids. In Atlanta we have crappy but excellent value (very cheap) CiCi's Pizza and a slightly better Stevie B's Pizza. Valentino's is so much better and has more variety. They used to have one in South Sioux City, Nebraska, but I guess they must have closed that one down.

The service and quality of food is declining. My last visit required me to wait fifteen minutes before the buffet was stocked with any pizza. The salad area looked horrible. The workers seemed more interested in each other than doing there job. Management needs to get involved before this resturant goes under.

Ate here for lunch recently and was VERY surprised. Its been years since I been here and the whole place looks so different. I was pleasantly surprised. Was clean, food buffet was warm and fresh and the selection was grand. Good place. Go eat there before it starts looking old again.
