First time there and was very good. Lots of food, next time I will get a half order. A breadsticks comes with it and was yummy good! I had the chicken parm, the chicken is not breaded or whole though. It was good though.

Love this place. I have been here a handful of times and have never had a bad experience or bad pasta.

This is not my first time here and there is a reason for that. Good food. Prices are fair and everything I have tried is delicious.

"IT'S PASTA" And that is what is great about Newman's Pasta Cafe. In case you were not sure what kind of food is here via the name. Walking in you are greeted by the usual chain style overhead board menu. Nice slate floors and walls. and the aroma and sight of the pasta buffet to the left of the registers. This is a fabulous place to bring the kids. Any picky kid can find something to be excited about. The flavors are pretty good and its pasta. This serves some of those times where you just want a bunch of starchy hit your taste buds with silky savory as well as fill that belly full meals.

This place has a great and diverse menu. I enjoy being able to satisfy my cravings on particular days whether it be italian or asian-you can get options all the way in between. The model of fast casual is nice for a quick lunch They do offer also a buffet lunch type option and if you are feeling feisty have some beers available for purchase. I enjoy going her periodically. I have had the pad thai recently. I suggest getting the full only so you can save the left overs for dinner or lunch the next day. Always enough for two meals.

You get what you pay for here. This place is hard to give a true rating, since the only reason we went here was to have a cheap dinner. I had the Beef Stroganoff, my friend had the Shrimp Scampi and both (full) sizes were ample portions for a meal. If I were to end here I would have given it four stars. This place used to be a Noodles joint, and that is what it tasted like. Mass produced noodles with different 'flavorings'. The tables didn't have salt and pepper shakers on them. The condiment table had ample Sriracha bottles (probably left over from their Noodles days). You order from a wall mounted menu and they bring your food to your table, so you really need to know what you want before you arrive, unless you come at a low time. We arrived at 5:00 pm and within 10 minutes over a dozen local HS soccer girls showed up and took over the place. A few minutes later a family with several loud small children arrived. I never heard my friend after that. But, that is what you get. People know you can get a cheap meal and you will find the appropriate clientele. P.S. you may have to ask one of the young waiters to clean your table before you sit down, that seems not to be an important issue for them.

Newman's Pasta was ok but overall not worth the $6-10 dollars you'll pay. Service wasn't good...there wasn't anyone at the counter when I walked up to order. I waited a good 3-4 minutes for someone to come ask me what I wanted. For a fast casual place, that's slow. No welcome or greeting, just basically "what'll you have?" I waited another 15 minutes at least for my simple one-dish order. It was set on my table wordlessly. I wasn't expecting brilliance in terms of service, but I was expecting an acknowledgement of some kind. Didn't get it. The prices are way high for the quality of food you receive. The dishes they have could all be great, the ideas are there. Maybe it's because they are mass-produced, but they lack creativity and good presentation. I could easily have made my order better in my own kitchen.

My friend brought me here after praising the food - and she was right! The food was delicious. She's a huge fan of the tomato bisque, and I'm half in love with the bread sticks. Although the place was pretty busy, our food arrived at our table in just a few minutes. It's a little on the expensive side for pasta - I got a full order of pasta plus an appetizer and a drink - mine was about $17, so be aware of the price. But it was still super delicious, and I had leftovers.

Apple and Spinach Salad was lovely. Beef Stroganoff was extremely greasy. Only ate half because I was starved.

Its a cheap place to eat and the food is decent. We used to LOVE it, but I feel like the quality has gone down a bit in the last year (we have been eating here fairly often for the last 4 years...not so much lately).

Newmans comes to my office once a week. They always bring a good selection of tasty food and the lone guy helping an entire office building is always smiling despite having a crowd. It's a great option for those of us who don't have time to leave the office.

Horrid! Do not waste your time!!!! First we walked in and a stench of sewer hit us immediately. Then we walked in and asked if the cashier how things worked...miistake! She knew nothing... We ordered and proceeded to use our amazon voucher...we were told after she rung up our bill that we could not use the amazon voucher for 24hours after we purchased????!!! What??. We watched seven others walk in with the amazon vouchers they had purchased and were not told until after they ordered....a few just walked out, while others called customer service.... By the way, while this was going on, the manger came out for a second and then hid in something like a small office?.... I also think their heat was turned off....freezing in the place!!! The food was awful! The olive oil used on the one of our dishes was rancid. The carrots on my plate had brown mold and were dried out???. Could not even eat our meal.... We just got up and went home and ate! We will not be going back. Ever.

Maybe I just visited on an off day, but I was really unimpressed with this place. I ordered the pad thai. For the price, I felt like I did not get very much food, and it was not very flavorful. It wasn't really bad, but it wasn't good either... just somewhere in between. I honestly don't know if I'll ever come back here... I suppose I would give it another shot if I happened to be in the area, but I certainly wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Terrible service. There was plastic in my food and they would only offer to remake it, never really apologized. I would give them a 0 but it will not let me.

Newman's is a small family run restaurant. It is a great pasta place. They try to source as many ingredients locally as they can, and they prepare each meal when it is ordered. They still manage to have pretty fast service. Every pasta dish comes with a garlic bread stick. They have lemons at the napkin/drink station that are available to garnish your food with, too. The strawberry NY style cheesecake is really good, as well! The people that take your orders are usually friendly, and cheerful. Very modern interior! I would recommend Newman's to anyone who wants some good, relatively cheap American style pasta when in Omaha!

My daughter took me here during my trip to Omaha. I was extremely impressed. I have the Chicken Parmesean after the Cheesy Breadsticks. The breadsticks with the marinara sauce was good. But, Wow, the entree was really good. It was better than I have had at much more expensive Italian restaurants. It was a good sized generous portion also. It is a semi-sit down place where they give you a number for your table. So, things move quickly. It was a very reasonably priced and very good meal. I wish there was a location in Dallas!!!

In the mood for comfort food on a cold winter day we headed to Newmans. LOVE the Spicy Udon Noodles and love the Pad Thai! Tasty, always fresh, affordable and consistent. What else could you ask for? :) Perhaps one day I will menu wander ...

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
