During the drive from Illinois to Colorado there are some pretty bleak expanses where settlements are few and far between. Every once in a while you run into a hole in the wall place with few to no Yelp reviews and it blows your socks off. This was not one of those places. The food was mediocre bar food. It's a fine restaurant if you're just looking to eat breaded chicken and fat fries. Maybe we missed out by not ordering the pizza. Who knows. However I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place to anyone if there were more restaurants around. Since there weren't many to choose from, I guess this place isn't bad if you're looking for a meal. However, it was a good time. And the native Nebraskans do give you a pretty good staredown for coming into their random town. Also, there seemed to be some good drink specials and some good food that you'd enjoy a few beers deep. So if you're looking for that, head on down to Clancy's. That's what it's meant to be. Don't mistake it for a place that's sole service is the restaurant business, though. It seemed to be much more of a bar than anything else.

This bar has been here for quiet a while. Have stopped in here from time to time for years. It is going downhill. Friday 4-6pm found a pretty busy bar. staffed with one bartender and one waitress for the whole place. She gave as good of service as she could with 20+ tables by herself. the food was a disaster. Stale Chips cold cheese dip. microwave evident on a couple dishes. zero presentation. Dive bar for sure!!!

I used to eat lunch in here very regularly back in 2007. They were always very crowded at lunch time and their daily specials were a big hit. I think much of their popularity was due to the fact that for a short time they fell into a loophole in the Omaha Smoking Ban because they have Keno. So, this was one of the few smoking restaurants in Omaha and so smokers came in droves to dine here. Once Omaha closed the Keno loophole in the Smoking Ban this place's lunch business took a real hit. I always enjoyed the Clancy Burger with Bacon and Spicy Waffle Fries as well as their Pan Fried Chicken special on Thursdays. Both were very tasty. I stopped back in recently after not having eaten there in about 6 years and was appalled at the food and service. Burger was dry and tasteless. Iced Tea was horrible. Waitress was MIA for most of our dining experience. I'd don't know what has happened over the last 5 to 7 years, but they've taken something great and ruined it with poorly cooked food and terrible service. Perhaps the nighttime bar crowd has a vastly different experience. But, if you're thinking about being a part of the weekday lunch crowd then go elsewhere.

Horrible experience from start to finish. Went in for lunch on a saturday. Service was just ok. Food was mediocre at best. Ordered soup, chili, and an app along with a pizza. Soups and apps came with the pizza. Pizza was subpar and cold to boot. My one positive was the Irish potato soup. It was very good.

Coming here on St. Patty's day was a colossal mistake. First of all the building holds at least 500 people with the beer garden, parking is available for maybe 20 cars. Do the math with an abacus during your lengthy trek towards this bar. They don't have Smithwicks or Harp on tap, not a blasphemous problem but still disappointing. Irish car bombs were weak, served in flimsy little plastic shot glasses that are barely 1oz, so flimsy that your tight-outfitted bartender walking like Frankenstein will spill half of it en route. Furthermore, they served my Guinness in a little plastic cup that was about 8oz. Beer out of the tap goes in a glass. You might as well just hand me a can of Guinness you lazy bastards. You know damn well the distributor wouldn't be cool with this malpractice! It costs $13 for a beer and a bomb. Happy Saint Patrick's Day? It was happy until I walked in to this dive. Cash only, by the way, as if I needed anything else to complain about. Nobody wants to put in the work to accommodate an annual holiday, they all take the high (cheap) road, and then charge a premium to boot. Every true Irish pub shudders at the existence of this place. Should have known!

I'd never been to the establishment in my 7 years of living in Omaha, so I decided to give it a shot with a coworker today. With a name like Clancy's and a space that large, I assumed the food would be awesome for a payday Friday splurge. I'll try harder next time. If you're looking for the finest mediocrity $10 can buy, please stop by Clancy's Pub and have yourself Prime Rib sandwich. You won't be disappointed. I know my busted toilet seat isn't. Waitress was nice and friendly, so I tipped 20%, but the food took 35 minutes to come out, and the restaurant wasn't that busy. The coleslaw was spoiled, and the fries tasted metallic. Please change the fryer grease.

Felt like I was on an episode of Bar Rescue... The waitress took my drink order, then came back about 5 minutes later and asked me "What was it that you wanted to drink?" (it was a Pepsi). I then finally got my drink several minutes after that. She did the same thing when my GF arrived; the waitress couldn't seem to remember "Bloody Mary" and had to come back to the table to ask her a second time what she had ordered. We ordered the Irish Nachos to start. Within a few minutes after starting to eat, I began to feel nauseated. My GF was okay (she did not try the salsa or sour cream). I had ordered a chicken sandwich for the entree, and my GF ordered shrimp. When the entrees arrived, we were served a club sandwich instead (and the shrimp). When the waitress brought the food to the table, she tried to give me the shrimp and the club sandwich (that I didn't order) to my GF. I indicated that she had the orders backward, and she said "you ordered a club sandwich, right?" At this point I felt like I was about to throw up from the Irish Nachos, so I just said 'yes'. Then I went to the bathroom. One of the dividers for the bathroom stalls was completely missing (so just a toilet sitting in the middle of the room, with a cross-beam where a stall divider would hang with the bolts ripped out of the wall). The seat on the other toilet (the only one with a still-intact divider wall) had dried feces on it. As I started to look around and weigh my options on what to do next, I noticed that the fan/air grilles in the ceiling were caked with dirt/dust, there were brown-colored 'leaky roof' type stains on the drop-ceiling tiles, and the sink countertop was covered in standing water. If it were Midnight on St. Patrick's Day and the place was packed, I could understand the bathroom being destroyed like that, but not 6:30 on a Thursday evening with only a few occupied tables and a handful of people at the bar. The condition of the bathroom combined with immediately feeling sick after eating the food made all kinds of things run through my mind about what the kitchen could be like. Since I had my choice of either hurling my Irish Nachos into the toilet sitting out in the open in the middle of the room, or unloading the contents of my stomach into the toilet that at least was in a stall with some privacy but would require me to put my face near the seat with the feces on it...I came back to the table, explained what was going on, and my GF said she would pick up the check while I went home to puke in my own bathroom (or maybe in the parking lot, depending on how far I could make it). At this point, there was a drunk guy at the bar yelling about Warren Buffett being a giant a-hole or something like that. I left just as one of the other patrons started to argue back with him and escalate the situation. In the parking lot a few moments later, I saw the Warren-Buffett-hater walking to the gas station on the other side of the lot, so he must have either left or gotten kicked out. During my visit to this restaurant I experienced just about everything that you would see wrong with a place featured on an episode of Bar Rescue. I will not be returning. There are many other places near 72nd & Pacific in the same price range where a person can get an appetizer, two dinners and a couple of drinks, but do so in a clean restaurant with efficient service and food that doesn't make you sick.

BLUE CHEESE BLT BURGER Calling all bleu cheese lovers. Crisp bacon, lettuce, and tomato topped with mayo and mounds of bleu cheese toppings. =FAIL Very poor execution on how this burger was delivered and presented. When it says mounds of bleu cheese, your thinking OK there might like 2-3 ounces. But in reality there's not more then a pinch of bleu cheese on this burger. Being a fan of bleu cheese i wanted to expect more. But was disappointed. Now the burger had a great taste, probably a better taste then all the other locations this business has. Iv tried the location on dodge and that was terrible. Maybe ill stop again, I haven't decided yet . Maybe someone will read this from this location and put more bleu cheese on!

Gnats. Everywhere. Went with some friends on a Tuesday night for dinner. There were only 2 other tables of people in there, but there were hundreds of gnats. So many gnats that one in our party could not quit swatting at them the entire time. Our waitress saw the swatting, yet seemed oblivious to the situation. Perhaps she was embarrassed?? Upon asking her what was going on she just said, "We've been trying to get rid of them." We even switched tables and asked the bartender to point the fan towards us in hopes that would help. It did not. One in our party dug a gnat out of her beer, and another in our party had 3 of them fall into her beer. She jumped from the table and rushed her full glass of beer to the bar to get rid of it. Upon this, the bartender did offer up some information about the gnats saying, "You should have seen them before we started bombing." YIKES! (Imagine what the kitchen looks like with the food to attract them) He said they've been trying to get rid of them and bomb every night. I think they need to take more drastic action as my guess is the health department wouldn't be so forgiving. No idea how long they've had them and don't think I want to know. The food? Three out of four of us ordered their "famous" chili dog which isn't even on the menu. Took quite awhile for these to come out....wonder if it had something to do with the gnats? Eesh...I don't even want to think about that! The chili dogs were split down the middle, and were huge. The problem was...where was the chili and cheese? Barely any chili and cheese on the dogs. The other in our party had a burger. She said it was okay, but stopped after eating only half as she couldn't quit wondering how many gnats had fallen onto her food. Disappointing and left wondering why we even stayed with so many gnats. Don't think I'll be visiting this place again.

Our visit was a cross between Bar Rescue and Kitchen Nightmares. The service was at times ridiculous. We watched our food sit in the window for several minutes and finally asked for it. Refills went noticed and drink orders were only received after we went back to bar to ask. Funny to look around at the other tables and see everyone trying to flag down the server/bartender. The women's room is a sticky, dirty mess. The bar smells like a frat house that has never seen a mop. On a positive note, the chicken sandwich was said to be delicious. Slim chance on ever going back.

great cozy experience if you're at the bar on in a booth. Great service and for bar food, pretty darn solid. It would be nice if they brought back more steak specials like they used to have. Getting in and out of this Clancy's is a little tough especially during rush hour but the great prices on drinks more than makes up for it! Great staff and great conversation with basically anyone behind the bar during each of my numerous visits. Definitely a place you need to check out for yourself and be the judge. Holidays (St Pattys) is an absolute zoo but apparently the place to be. Go early is my advice and finish up by noon! I've been to this one and the one out west and love the wings. Pizza has changed which I don't care too much for the new recipe but most others do.

After a full day of experiencing the joys of homeownership (translation: painting the exterior of our home ourselves), we decide to use our Groupon and jet down to Clancy's for dinner. It's the kind of place you can look like hell and no one will blink twice at ya. Clancy's has that laid back, local vibe with folks drinking and eating solo at the bar or in large groups with tables jammed together. They have an extensive menu with bar and grill food that's always consistent. Our waitress/bartender was a little lacking in the customer service department (example: when I asked if I can get the turkey reuben in lieu of the standard, she answered "I don't know," then proceeded to stare at me until I prompted her to check with someone who would know). It's just a minor glitch, since the other bartenders and waitstaff were totally on the ball. Cheeseburger with fries, (turkey) reuben with fries, one cocktail, one club soda. Total bill with tax $25 (without Groupon).

We watched the last Husker game here. Food was decent, drinks kept full. The waitstaff is mediocre, but the manager was super friendly and kept us happy. Lots of televisions to watch sports events on. I was a bit upset they didn't give us a jello shot for every touchdown (it was 48-13 if I remember correctly), but they did send out a tray or two..so the effort was nice, even if they weren't adequately prepared. Overall, it's close to campus and a laidback environment. I'll be returning, especially for Monday night $2 domestics night for students.

Clancy's has multiple (3 to be precise) locations in the Omaha Metro area. This is only really important on St. Patrick's Day when they have a bus that runs between all three locations starting at like 7 in the morning. To be honest, St. Patrick's Day is probably the worst day of the year to visit Clancy's because it's more crowded than Woodstock '99 with fewer places to pee. I would recommend going for lunch or dinner because the food is surprisingly good, and the service is excellent. The 71st and Pacific location is the best, followed by 114th and Dodge and then Elkhorn. See how it follows a pattern where the further into West Omaha you get the less cool things are? Remembering this maxim will help you to figure Omaha out in a hurry.

Pub food done well. The "sweet/spicy" wings were great, and I'm looking forward to going back for the pizza.

The original Clancy's has the best food of the 3 I've been to, far superior to West, and 114th and Dodge. They have great nachos, burgers, salads, and pizza. I love the old school atmosphere, it's really laid back with a pretty eclectic crowd. Another huge bonus: It's cheap. 2 meals and nachos for $19 last night.
