Awesome service and very affordable. I will be back again. It's perfect for a family night out.

Went there once and will not go again. I ordered their version of a Philly cheese steak, as nothing else on the menu appealed to me (I was with friends who all invariably order plain, dry burgers...hold the condiments, pickles and onions), with a side of onion rings. The rings tasted as though they had been cooked in light engine oil, and the dips for the rings were bland. The sandwich was one of the worst cheese steaks I've ever had...cold, cheese was not melted, soggy roll, no proper cheese steak condiments (such as horseradish sauce or malt vinegar). Also, for such a lousy meal, the items were WAY overpriced (almost twenty bucks for this crap? I could get a better cheese steak at Lansky's or Pepperjack's for WAY less, as well as better onion rings)! My friends were gushing over their plain burgers and no-ketchup fries, but I was decidedly UN-impressed with this place. All Cheddar's is is a national chain restaurant with a standard menu and sub-standard cooking, but it DOES have prices which are way too high for the miserable quality of the food. Do yourself a favor and go someplace where it's worth the price and the (excessive) wait.

The food is good and so are the prices. For $2 more than a fast food place, I got salmon on a bed of rice, a baked potato, and steamed broccoli. Much healthier and quite tasty :)

As soon as I moved to Nebraska, I was taken to dinner here. And oh my was it delicious! The first time I came I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger, something ordinary. And for something as simple as a burger, this was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. If I don't get the burger I usually get the Cornmeal Catfish. I will tell you that the lunch portion is for smaller appetites and the dinner portion, well be ready to take some home with you! The customer service, the wait time for food, and the deliciousness has all been top notch. Don't expect your food to come out right away when it's a busy Saturday night, but don't run away because it's busy. In my opinion, this place is always worth the wait!

Suggested by our hotel front desk person. Went in and prices are super reasonable, they also have inexpensive alcohol! Food was superb. Would recommend! Wish we had one of these in Utah!

LOVE CHEDDARS! Best restaurant in Omaha in our opinion. Food is amazing, prices are very good and the serving size is very generous. We take home dinners while were are eating there.

The food here was really, really good! I loved the mozzerella cheese bites especially. My only complaint is the poor service. It was busy so it's understandable. But our server wasn't friendly, kinda rushed passed us and dropped things off. I ordered a meal with a side salad and never received it. I didn't really care because I would have been full without it. But I was still charged and when we let him know, he didn't seem to care and didn't offer me another one, justmltook the 0.99 cents off the bill. Another thing, myoboyfriend asked him if he could use his residence I.D. to order a drink and he never came back with an answer like he said he/lp would. I'm a server myself and understand that things can just go badly some nights especially when it is busy. But still feel like service cpuldve been a lot better. :)

Best service I've had!!!! Two must try items: 1st- The Painkiller is an awesome drink that will keep you coming back! 2nd - The Monte Cristo. A surprisingly delicious sandwich. Will be returning for sure!!!!!

I'm blown away that this place only has 2 1/2 stars. "The food is so good and the prices are cheap, so this place sucks!" That is what most of these people must think. I would rather get a Philly Cheesesteak from here instead of Pepper Jax. 9.99 for a huge portion of delicious chicken tenders and shrimp? Are you kidding me? I can't even get a fast food order for 9.99 these days. This place is a nice classy restaurant with dirt cheap prices. I would come here every day if I could. Whoever gave this place 1 star must be a complete moron who only eats caviar every night. I love this place and so should you. It's the best.

Friendly staff, got us seated quickly on a busy Saturday afternoon, by asking us if a high top table in the bar was OK, it was. A bit loud in the bar,if that's an issue for you The Chicken Fried Steak was only fair, the meat slid out of the envelope of breading, odd that it didn't adhere to the steak better. Mashed potatoes had sour cream in them- if you like them that way youll be pleased, I don't. Country gravy a bit bland for my taste Green beans were fresh tasting, good Waitress was very courteous, food arrived quickly. Wife had a Monte Cristo- a first for her, and it was all right , she said - but nothing to compare it to so we'll rate it OK . Prices seem reasonable, extensive menu, Ill try something else next time.

First impressions are always a good start to a striving new restaurant. Busy as always, decided to try it out. Menu was pretty easy going. Not to extraordinary. Basic easy going home cooked food. Great appetizers and main dishes. Wife had the pasta Alfredo. Sauce didn't taste homemade unless you've perfected the taste of out of a bag Alfredo sauce I had the buffalo wrapper which wasn't to shabby. The pickles inside reminded me of chic fa la. Very noisy inside which didn't bother me. Wait time is a little long at late hours but service was great. Wanted to try the chicken pot pie. Will next time. Good results, will be back.

So this is one of those times when I have read multiple reviews that present this place to be a restaurant from the bowels of hell. After we walked out of Millard Roadhouse (I will sooooo write a review once I can even grasp what the f happened in that shit box), we were starving and decided against all horrid reviews and went. We waited maybe 5 minutes, had a rocking host, super friendly (not too mention prompt) server, and even though the food is packed with everything that is not good for you, it was great! We order the spinach dip, which was really good. The fried catfish with red beans & rice was amazing (you might want to actually sing 'amazing'). The chicken fried steak was apparently good (my husband said so). We also had the mango mojito and some drink that had a two drink limit, both we really good. Appetizer, one fountain soda, two alcohol drinks, two meals= $33. For the win. So what did we learn today? We learned that even though I read one horrid review after another about Cheddar's and one 'stellar' review of Millard Roadhouse, things are not always what the seem. Does this mean we are food snobs or we are partial to commercialized set ups? I sure hope not. We prefer to eat at local establishments, as well as buy our fruits & veggies from local vendors, but this is one of the times I will say that I will be back and I should remember that these are all opinions and can never replace your personal experience. The end.

Ate with a group of 6 people. Everyone said their meal was great. The one who ordered the salmon said it was super. I ordered the chicken fingers, and they were fantastic. An onion ring appetizer arrived late, but they were delicious -- some of the best I've ever had. Lots of food for extremely reasonable prices. Service was okay. Had to ask to get more coffee, but the waiter brought a fresh cup rather than topping off a cup that was half filled with cold coffee. Will definitely go back.

Ate here passing through on a road trip. Good food, beautiful atmosphere. Could've fooled me into thinking it was a fine dining restaurant. The monster cookie sundae was amazing. And this place should not be rated $$, every meal on the menu is under $10. Great spot!

I really want to like this restaurant, but they keep giving me reasons to not return! Our first time we were there was to sit down. The second was carry out. Both times the food was great but almost every order was wrong-wrong sides, no sides, no cheese on the cheeseburger, including items we specifically asked to be left out. The chicken is delicious, the decor very nice, and the prices are great. I'm just not sure whether the staffing issues are with the kitchen or the servers.

Yumm! Is all I can say. Food is good, not crazy expensive, and friendly staff. Only con is that it can be a bit of a wait on weekends.

I've only gotten take out so I can really only review this place on the food and prices. Due to the fact that it has always been overloaded with people and I would rather wait for take out then to even try to stand there and wait to be seated, wait to order, wait for my food and then wait for the bill. No thank you. The prices are great. The food, well, I have a love-hate thing going on with it. The first time I tried them I had a spectacular meal. My favorite being the broccoli cheddar casserole. All the side vegetables I have tried were very yummy and cooked perfectly. Although I think they may drench the corn in pounds of butter and that may be the reason it tastes so dang good. And probably not in the least bit healthy. But the last time I went here I ordered the grilled chicken caesar salad with tortilla soup. The soup was good, not the best I've had but certainly not the worst. A suggestion to the staff would be to, when doing take out, put the tortilla strips in a separate container because otherwise by the time you get home they are soggy and disgusting. But what I was most unhappy with was that when I opened up my salad it was a HOT mess. First, the croissant they put in there was smashed because it didn't fit into the container. Hello? Put on the side and don't smash it in there just because you are lazy. Second, the salad was so wilted by the hot ass grilled chicken being placed on top. This is just another suggestion. When doing take out either A.) Let the chicken cool enough so that it won't wilt the lettuce or B.) Pre-grill the chicken for the night and stick it in the damn fridge so it won't be burning my lettuce up as you throw it in there. Third, the grilled chicken was cooked perfectly on the outside, but was still pink in the middle. Which I don't get how they missed because they slice it before putting it on the salad. I am glad I always inspect my food before taking a bite because that is how you get people sick. I have worked in the restaurant business 5+years and you can tell when cooks just don't have passion for what they do or half-ass their jobs. Whoever prepared my salad was this type of person. To that person: You could make people sick, when serving anyone food you need to have at least enough compassion to put the effort into the food you are making. If you wouldn't eat what you prepare don't expect great reviews from the customers. I ended up having to re-grill my chicken at home. Toss the lettuce and luckily had lettuce of my own to add to it. To the management/owners: You need to train your employees how to better prepare the food for take out. It is simple. Prep everything, cook thoroughly, and make sure whatever you do to said dish that it will not make the dish terrible after the customer drives home with said paid meal. Don't smash everything into one box. Make sure to have someone check the final product before handing to customer, make sure that everything is there, that everything is COOKED and that everything is presentable. Just because you could "get away" with half-assing take out meals because the customer won't know until they get home and it is "too late" at that point to say, "Hey this isn't right, or this isn't fully cooked or this looks like crap." doesn't mean that it is okay. You lose customers that way. Next time I order take out here I hope it is perfect. If not. Better expect some photos on my end to prove what I am saying about your poor take out service. End rant.

I've been to Cheddars before but this time took the cake. I went on father's day with my grandmother, father and sister. My grandma ordered the catfish and had no complaints but my father, sister and I each ordered a steak. 2 sirloin and I got a ribeye. All ordered medium. When we got our meal the first thing I noticed was the lack of ribeye. I don't know what happened but I'm pretty sure they tried to give me a sirloin instead and pass it off as a ribeye. We had our waitress take it back and get an actual ribeye. Second thing we noticed was the pure red and blood filed plates from the sirloins. Both under cooked so much it looked like a raw piece of meat. We had both sirloins taken back to cook, but this time they where severely over cooked. The manager came out and apologized to us about the steaks and offered free dessert. We get the desert mini shots and when they arrive 2 of the spoons had some wet nasty food crust of them, and one of the desserts had a piece of cheddar cheese in it. I get the name of restaurant is called Cheddars but does it really need to have cheese in everything. All in all I will not be going back to Cheddars.

Disgusting is the word that comes to mind when I think back about my lunch today. I ordered the grown up grilled cheese, it was like eating wet bread with cheese and meat in it. Awful. The fries were good and my lunch date enjoyed her burger and fries. The waitress was a "whisperer" so that was annoying also. I highly doubt I will ever go back.

You have got to be kidding? You seriously have got to be kidding about this place? I Brought my Sister and Mom in from out of town and decided to try this place after looking at the menu online. Here is what we-all of us ordered. I ordered the Monte Cristo Sister, She ordered the pot roast. Mom, she ordered the chicken fried steak. We all ordered onion rings as appetizer. First, the appetizer. The Ranch Dressing, and the "Spicy Dressing." The spicy dressing tastes like horseradish with red food coloring. Ranch was good. The onion rings themselves left a taste of old oil in your mouth. The Chicken Fried Steak was sent back quickly. The outside was golden, looked perfect, but was so darn hard to cut through, and then the chicken inside had no flavor according to my Mom. Sister: Pot roast tasted like pot roast. Me, Monte Cristo. Side of Fries. The thing was like this. You take Oscar Meyer Turkey, Ham, and Kraft Cheese, then deep fry it, then re-fry it in old oil, then add good fries, but not awesome fries to it. The wait was long, service slow, and although my mom's chicken friend steak was replaced, they charged us for the replacement? No, No, No. Avoid this place please. I don't get the concept? Imagine Fast food, without a drive thru window, and without waters.

On May 25th our party of 11 called ahead asking to hold a table knowing how busy it was that night. The gal on the phone said she would put tables together it wouldn't be a problem. Upon our arrival another large party arrived after us at which time the gal told them she was getting their table together, we arrived before them and the hostess gave the table away. She got the manager who said essentially she only sit 10 of us in booths that sat back to back. Being from Vegas I am quite familiar with stellar service, which this was not. The manager was indifferent that a party of 11 walked out of her establishment. This was our "introduction" to Cheddars, we will not be back!

For me, going out to eat with my family is more than just finding a place that serves decent food. I want a place where we can enjoy good conversation as well as a good meal without having to deal with frustrations of a lengthy wait or really loud surroundings. Cheddars, although certainly offering many economical food options, fell way short of my expectation of the overall experience. I really liked the building and the decor as it was nice and inviting. The staff was polite and pleasant, and was handling the crowd (25 minute wait at 4:30 Saturday afternoon) fairly weil. They really need a better waiting area though. There were many adults with small children standing and getting in the way of both wait staff and hosts. Service was prompt and efficient, but the noise level in this building was very high, making it necessary to speak very loudly when ordering. We ordered the sampler appetizer (nachos, potato skins, mozzarella cheese sticks), and it was average at best. Nothing could be said that would make it stand out from anything you could throw together on your own. The entree's that were ordered were grilled chicken alfredo, 12 oz. Ribeye steak, and chicken fried steak. The alfredo was described as pretty good, while the ribeye was cooked well but had too much pepper in the seasoning. The low point was definitely the chicken fried steak, hard fried shell of a crust that encased a very tuff and unseasoned piece of meat. Less than half was eaten, and it wasn't worth taking the rest home. There are too many places with no wait, comparable service, and better food, that are a good value, to make me want to come back any time soon.

If you are looking for a simple filling lunch, you will find it here. Order the chicken fingers and onion rings and you are set! You could easily split this with someone and it would be plenty for 2 people. Waitstaff was average.

Overly salty, unhealthy food. Somehow they managed to make even the tilapia greasy. If you want diabetes, heart disease, and a stroke at a young age, then this is the place for you. The drinks are incredibly cheap which is a bonus. Great place to pack on some extra lbs.

    (1)
  • Brent L.

Food was really good (We had fried chicken, jalapeno burger, and chicken & shrimp) and not too expensive $40 with tip. Busy but we didn't have to wait for a table. Good service (Karl). Only bad thing was that it's noisy. Also, call ahead if you can.

    (4)
  • Kit W.

The hostess was rude. The place was overly busy with many people standing. I can understand if they are standing waiting for a table, but when I see several couples waiting while several tables are cleaned and prepped...then I think someone wasn't doing their job. We finally did get a bite and needless to say it wasn't bad, but definitely nothing notably enough to remember. Cheap, yes. Worth the wait, no. Better off going at times when it's not packed. Maybe when the place is not as busy, the service and food may be more remember-able.

I've eaten at Cheddars in other states so I knew exactly what to expect. What I didn't know was if this location would fall short of my expectations or meet them. Needless to say, my expectations were met with fast and friendly service from the waiter Evan. The food arrived fast and piping hot and the drinks were constantly topped off. I am a self proclaimed grill master which by default makes me a rib connoisseur. Their signature ribs were heavily advertised throughout the restaurant so I gave in and ordered a full slab. To my dismay they were not seasoned, lacked a smoky flavor (or smoke ring), and the bbq sauce was entirely too sweet. For tenderness they get an A+ but overall rib execution earned them a solid B-. Still this was a highly enjoyable visit and since bbq is personal to the cook, I give the overall experience a solid 4 stars!

I've already gone here twice since they opened a couple weeks ago! The decor of the restaurant from the inside out looks really nice and surprisingly the food is very well priced!! Pretty much a bargain for the quality and portions! The first time I went I got the Chicken ciabatta sandwich, which has avocado and tomatoes with some kind of special sauce on ciabatta bread. It also came with one side of my choice (there are about 8 different sides to choose from) I got the broccoli casserole, which was baked broccoli with cheese and rice. It was pretty good! The sandwich was also delicious. My sister got the chicken pot pie, which I had a bite of and for 6.95 it was a pretty big portion. The second time I went I got the honey dijon chicken, which is grilled chicken with a sweet honey dijon sauce and then mushrooms on the side. This dish also came with 2 sides and I got the broccoli casserole again and the sweet baby carrots (really good!!!). Have never really had carrots made this way and was pleasantly surprised. The sauce was a little on the sweet side but I still enjoyed my dish and had plenty to take home for lunch the next day! We also got the baked cookie with the ice cream for dessert, I was kind of disappointed in this. The cookie was a little hard and the chocolate fudge cake, which was the same price looked way bigger and appetizing...Also this visit the server was really slow and would only come to our table maybe every 30 min...We ended up staying 2hrs for our whole meal because we were always waiting for the server!!

I'll keep it short. Don't waste your time. This place, for whatever reason, sees fit to make you stand around in a packed lobby for an hour or more for a table, so that they can provide you with mediocre food and mediocre service. I simply can't understand why there's such a huge mob of people waiting to get into this place. Apparently, they like tough cuts of meat and sitting around with empty drink glasses. Their one saving grace is that the prices are pretty low. We will not be going back. EDIT: I have also just discovered that they overcharged me. I paid with a debit card. The amount that they charged me was $5.00 more than the amount I signed for on the receipt.

I reviewed this place in the past and it was horrible. I had a $20 gift card to use, so I went back to use it with a friend. This time, my experience was much better. I wonder if it was because I didn't see any of the same staff from the last time I was there. The wait was about 10-15 min. Got a nice table, food was good. We both ordered the country fried chicken and a salad to start. Both were very good, except if I go back and order the same, I would tell them to only put 1/2 the gravy as it was swimming in it. The chicken was tender, vegetables were perfectly cooked. Waitress was very friendly All in all good experience. Wonder if a fluke or if they read their reviews and stepped up their game.

This place has a ton of work to do to even get 1 star! Went here on Sunday evening, October 23rd. I place this date so maybe management can address all the problems the place was experiencing on our first (and probably last) visit. Was told wait would be 20-25 min. Turned out to be 45-50! I am normally not this picky. However, this wait time could have been cut in half because dirty dishes where every where on tables for very bit of 10-15 min before they where cleared after parties had departed. After the bartender sees that we have been sitting there with our two children for a long time, she goes up to front and asks about our table (only competent person working at Cheddar's). A very snooty young gal took us to our booth, which had not been wiped off yet from prior party. She proceeded to take a dry wash cloth and simply push everything onto the seats. Pretty disgusting if you ask me. When our server FINALLY came over we told her and she at least wiped table down with a damp cloth. We ordered. Now, I have not worked in the restaurant business. But you could so obviously see how bad these people were trained. This is not a joke, we ordered, the food was at our table in less than 3 min, and then the salads come out 5-10 min later! What kills me about this, is not that they came out in exactly the wrong order, but the entrees where COLD! How can this be? I could see this place was so poorly run that I did not even bother trying to flag down the waitress/server to inform them. It would have turned into another big wait and results would have been the same. What I noticed and more importantly heard was everyone (Cheddar's employees) saying "I am sorry", "that shouldn't have happened", "I am sorry", over and over. I will close by simply saying the manager on duty on the above listed date was lost, ineffective and frankly looked so lost it is sad. He the biggest reason the place was performing the way it was. All he did was stand in the front of the restaurant and have this lost look on his face while he tried to help sit people. Not once did he walk over to any table and see how the patrons where doing, asked how service/food was, let alone try and address problems that at least 50% of every table had. Pretty bad showing Cheddar's.

This place is constantly packed on the weekends. Expect to wait a fair amount of time (though, in my 3 trips there, the wait time listed has been significantly shorter than stated). Cheddars serves American food. Everything is really cheap ($10 or less for the most part) and the portions are all big. This is a good place to either bring your family for a cheap meal or for some poor college students looking for a quick bite/good portions/cheap food. Overall, pretty solid, it is what it is. Don't come in here expecting anything upscale. It's cheap, American food, decent quality (for what it is).

This place is really hit or miss. One visit the onion rings were so good we had to go back a week later. That next week they were bland and not worth the money. If its a good day then man is it good.

Went here for a Saturday dinner with a small group (six people). Obviously crowded, quoted a 45-50 minute wait...seated in 20 minutes. Server came up immediately, took our drink/appetizer order. Got the onion rings. Spectacular. I ordered the grilled salmon with broccoli, red beans & rice, and the optional salad/honey butter croissant. All of our entrees arrived, but some of our side dishes were mixed up. Everything was corrected quickly, but my broccoli was not as fresh as it should've been. Otherwise, the food was pretty good. Service: pretty good...the kitchen staff could've gotten the combinations of entrees & side dishes correct. Prices: appropriate for the place Ambiance: understated elegance...like another reviewer said, looks like the inside of Abercrombie & Fitch. Will I be back? Sure.

Was having a pregnancy craving for something cheesy and fatty when we decided to try Cheddars. At least they delivered on that point. The croissant was yumalicious. And the food was pretty good. However, the rest of the experience has me convinced we'll never go back, not even for one of those croissants. When our buzzer went off, we walked up to be seated and literally not one of the three hostesses said a word or even looked at us. A lady who was simply dressed nice, but not wearing the uniform worn by any other employees grabbed three adult menus and walked away. Eventually, I deduced that she must work there and we were meant to follow her. So we did to a tiny two person table that they had graciously put four chairs around. The lady dropped the the adult menus on the table and walked away, again without saying a word. We looked at each other and sat down assuming that's what she meant for us to do. Over the course of the meal, they brought us the wrong thing or forgot something we ordered three times. The table was so small that we couldn't fit all of our plates and the appetizer plate on it, but the meal was practically over before they picked up any empty plates. Finally we got the bill. $54 for two adults and a child? The prices seemed too reasonable for that...OH that's because it was someone else's bill.

The best family restaurant in town! People say there is a long wait, but I have never waited longer then 15 minutes. Also there is such a wait because this place is so good. The food is excellent and the whole family loves it! You have to get the onion rings! The prices a good and service has always been excellent. We will be back over and over!

We went to Cheddars today for lunch. We were pleased because we were seated right away. It is not easy to find an open seat at 11:40 on a Sunday. Looking over the menu I was pleased with the selection and the prices. My two kids each ordered the 1/4 pound burger with fries, my wife ordered the soup and loaded potato, and I had the Sheppard's Pie. We each ordered a drink. We also ordered the onions rings. They looked very good. We ordered at 11:45. The waitress came over at 12:00 and said that the kitchen was slow today and that our order would be out soon. At 12:05 the manager came over and apologized for the order taking so long. At 12:10 our food had not arrived I stopped the manager and said that we still not had received our food. He apologized again and said he would go look to see what the wait is. The waitress came back to our table again and said, "I can't believe how long the kitchen is taking". "I will make the manager give you a free dessert". It was another 5 minutes before our food made it to the table. Our drinks were only refilled when we asked for it. My kid's hamburgers looked okay but they were served about 12 fries each. My wife "loaded" potato had cheese and butter on it. Not very loaded. The Sheppard's pie and french fries were very good. Overall, I am not sure what the problem was with the wait. The server tried to blame the kitchen but I believe it was her job to keep track of how long the food was taking to be brought out and the refills of the drinks are also her responsibility. Being a new restaurant, I am sure they are still working out some kinks but our orders were rather straightforward and not complicated. Our order came to $29 dollars. They did "comp" us for one of the kids' meals and the dessert. The atmosphere was nice. Restaurant was clean. The food had good flavor at a good price but the service made that a moot point. When we were leaving the waitress gave us her name said, "please come back again and ask for her. I am thinking not. Not sure if we will be back. Very disappointed. They really need to get "it" together.

We recently visited Cheddars on a vacation to Omaha. Though we wereonly in town for a fewdays, we went back again before we left town. The food at Cheddars is amazing and such a great price! The onion rings and croissants with honey butter are a must and the entrées and desserts are also very well prepared. Rounding out our first experience was fantastic service from Heather that assured our return. Props to Heather for being prompt, offering great suggestions, and being very friendly ...and she remembered us and stopped to greet us on our return. We would definitely recommend Cheddars.

This a pretty high rating for chain restaurants. I was overall pleased with the buffalo chicken wrapper. I got the grilled. For beer selection you have all of the domestic and a couple popular micros like Fat Tire and Sierra Nevada but not much more than that. Our service was great and I walked directly into the bar area during a busy lunch hour. I'd go back but not beer being the main reason... It'd have to be a pretty good happy hour!

There's a reason why there's always a line out the door. Decent food but better drink menu. This is one of the only places in Omaha where you can get full and decently tipsy for less than $20! The Texas strawberry margarita is tasty but treacherous!

We tried Cheddars today for lunch on a whim, not having any idea what to expect. We were surprised, both pleasantly and otherwise, by a number of things about the experience. There's no better way I can think of to put this, but the dining room looks like the inside of a Hollister/Abercrombie & Fitch, minus the racks of overpriced clothing. This is not a bad thing, but rather a welcome break from from the "trying too hard" design a lot of other places go with. The walls, ceiling, and pillars are all bare wood in various shades of deep staining. The upside of this is that it makes the dining room seem very simple, casual and just a bit classy. The downside is that it makes it almost unbearably loud when full. When you add the volume at which the music plays, the noise becomes the worst part about eating here. Not enough to ruin anything, mind you, but enough that you'll welcome the quiet that comes when you walk out the doors. The food itself was almost unbelievably good for the price. Our appetizer was a veritable mountain of onion rings, perfectly breaded, for only four bucks. We also had the chips and queso, which, also at four dollars, comes with salsa and (if you so choose) ground beef at no extra charge. Great value there. For our meals, we both ordered seven dollar items from the sandwich menu and were both pleased. My wife ordered the Napa Chicken Ciabatta sandwich, and was indifferent about it until she spread some extra garlic aioli on it, at which point she promptly started gushing over how good it was. I'm going to devote an entire paragraph to my sandwich because I feel it's that damned important. I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich. Let me be perfectly clear: This FELT like the single most unhealthy thing I've ever eaten in my life. The sandwich essentially consisted of an extra thick funnel cake, STUFFED with ham, turkey, and two kinds of melted cheese. And when I say "funnel cake" I mean it. This thing came with freaking confectioner's sugar on it and raspberry preserves to dip it in. Having already assaulted my digestive tract with onion rings dipped in ranch dressing, my stomach was ill-prepared to handle fatty tastiness of this sandwich's magnitude. I didn't TOUCH my fries and still only made it half-way through before throwing in the towel. In the aftermath, I was left with two thoughts: 1) That was surprisingly delicious. I would not have expected a frankensteinian funnel cake to be so tasty, but it was. 2) That sandwich is damn-near unethical. That one sandwich could probably feed a starving African village for a week. I honestly believe I shortened my life-span by eating only half of it. We didn't try any cocktails, as the place didn't have a liquor license yet. For the price, Cheddars offers a great value. It's noticeably louder than a lot of other restaurants, and they don't even have their liquor license yet, but everything we had was good enough, and cheap enough, that we will almost definitely be back.

I have been to this location a few times and always had a fine experience, often forgettable though. For "chain" food, they do it pretty well. The onion rings are tasty and the prices are pretty inexpensive for the large dishes. The menu is pretty versatile and not overwhelming with too many options. One thing that really bothers me that I forget is how high the tables at the booths are. They are seriously above your chin - maybe so people can shovel food into their mouths?! If you're petite like me, it's uncomfortable - sit at a table! The server we had recently was kind enough and accommodating when the runners forgot our soups and a salad.

Cleanliness 4 Service 4 Food 4 Likelihood 4 1-5 (5 Best!) 4.0 Dinner for four after a MEAN game of bowling! Wait was not that bad, service was good, food was hot and fresh. When service is good, it is good. When it isn't, it is BAD. This was a good experience. I will say that despite service issues, the food has ALWAYS been hot, fresh, and tasty. Newer manager on board, I hope she drives the ship better than their opening manager. He had a lot of challenges.

Surprisingly really good food. Not sure I have ever been to a place this large and this full during lunch before, but with the amount of staff on hand service went off without a hitch. I assuming people are coming for the prices and staying because the food was excellent. This was my 2nd time here and each time I have a light fish dish that came out flaky and under $10. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is that it is fairly noisy and feels a lot like a large chain and the menu is lacking a lot of creativity. They know what they're doing and they do it right. Great place for a business lunch.

Let me just start by saying the food is good and fresh. So fresh that there was a chicken bone in my husband's tortilla soup. When the waiter finally checked on us after we had finished eating, my husband told him about the bone. Fortunately he didn't break a tooth or swallow it. The waiter responded with a "well that's what you get when you have freshly prepared food". Um no. Not to mention he got our order wrong. I would rather eat somewhere with decent food without the attitude. Thanks.

We always have an enjoyable experience at Cheddars. The service is good and the food is also. They have great prices! My problem with Cheddars and the reason why we don't go more often is the amount of people and the noise level there is deafening. Today we were there at 2 pm on a Thursday afternoon, which for a normal restaurant would be a fairly dead time. Not for Cheddars. It is their less busy time. It is the only time we go there, as it is the only time we can somewhat speak to each other across the table, without full on screaming. (And they weren't at full capacity) The problem is they don't have carpet and/or soundproofing throughout the place so when I say it is loud in there it is not an exaggeration. It is quieter in the bar area if you can get a seat over there. Today I had the lunch combo for $6.50 (can't beat that!) which included a buffalo chicken wrap and a bowl of their chicken tortilla soup. I love their soup. It has lots of cheese in it and big chunks of tomato with crunchy strips of tortilla. So good. I couldn't even finish the whole wrap and ended up only eating half of it! My dining partner had the crispy chicken salad for $8.49 which was a really good sized portion. It also comes with a house made croissant. He really enjoyed it. Our server Michael was great. He even made our drinks to go for us as we left which we appreciated on the warm day. We will definitely be back to Cheddars as you can't beat the prices and great service. We will just make sure it is between the hours of 2-4 M-F.

I went here with a few co-workers yesterday for lunch and it was a great experience. I put in my name for the table of six and we were seated pretty quickly. Hannah was our server and she was awesome. Always smiling and super nice. I ordered the Grilled Salmon, with Bourbon Glaze, broccoli, and red beans and rice. All items were terrific. The salmon tasted extremely fresh and the red beans and rice was just awesome. The table and surrounding areas were very clean and organized. I loved my salmon and would definitely go back to try something else.

Cheddar's was an ok workday lunch stop. The atmosphere was decent, and service wasn't too bad if they are properly staffed. I ordered the half club sandwich and Cesear, and my hubby ordered the Philly. When the food was delivered, my sandwich was heavily toasted with a great deal of butter, in which I picked off and ate the meat and bacon. The Cesear was over dressed and it looked like the Romaine was old. Our waitress actually had another Philly made for my hubby as she didn't think there was enough meat, however she failed to look at what was presented to me. The service wasn't bad, however I won't go wait for over 20 minutes to eat their food.

I'm kind of disappointed in Cheddar's. Came and, got the baked spaghetti and it was hard and bland. I normally love their food and, been here many times but this time wasn't my favorite

I really love Cheddar's! I first tried it during Christmas with my mom and boyfriend, then for my beautiful Niece's birthday, then again with our friends. Each time I had the salmon entree with mac & cheese and beans. The salmon was always perfectly cooked without it being too fishy. The layers easily came apart while I ate and the mac & cheese was a great choice with it. My last visit our waiter was accommodating and funny. If you like salmon and you want it at a reasonable price you should really check out Cheddar's. The family friendly feel really works for this restaurant. I've never tried it in any other state, but I'm really happy that this restaurant made it to Omaha. Perfect salmon every time.

My daughter and I really enjoy coming to Cheddar's. Their food is really delicious. Each time we have come here, we have tried different things and we haven't left unhappy yet! Their foods, they claim, are scratch made. I can believe that because the food is very tasty and doesn't have the taste of being overly preserved. Also, the food takes a little bit to be ready, so you know they don't just warm up your food in a microwave like some places do. The only thing that could be a problem for this place, for the customer that is, is that it is always packed! Like, every single time we have ever gone here! However, it is not surprising because not only is the food good, but it is super cheap too! For instance, the last time we went was for my daughter's birthday. We had 9 people and the total bill was $63! Seriously!! This place is a must try for sure!

This place is unreal! Not only is it an excellent value, but the portions are tremendous and the food is outstanding! I typically get the half rack of ribs and shrimp combo with a side salad and broccoli cheese casserole for my sides. AMAZING! The ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender! I've also had the Chicken and Waffles, delicous and hard to come by in Omaha NE. Other stand out menu items are the Dijon Chicken and Mushrooms, Salmon with Bourbon Glaze and DO NOT miss out on a warm croissant served with honey butter drizzle (served with any salad). This place is so fabulous, that I'd go there just for the drinks too! Not only are they reasonably priced, but creative and tasty! The Painkiller is can't miss, the Texas Tea, and Skinny Marg's are also delish! They even have an outstanding Strawberry Mango margarita that comes with a side car of Cactus Juice. These huge drinks served in stemmed globe glasses, will run you 3.99-6.50 apiece- a true bargaini! This place is always packed, but if you don't mind sitting at the bar, you can almost always get a spot. The bartenders are very attentive and friendly, and will serve food as well. Sparkling clean bathrooms to boot!

Mediocre in every way imaginable. Bland food. Just three beers on tap. Service friendly but slow. Yelp wants me to tell you more, but that's all you need to know. Find someplace else for a moderately priced meal.

I have never left Cheddar's unhappy. The food is really good and reasonably priced. The ambiance is nice and the restaurant is always clean. There is always at least a 20 minute wait but they do a good job of getting you a table as fast as possible. I would put Cheddar's in the same category as Applebee's and Chili's but it's much better! And there's a drink called "The Painkiller" that is absolutely fantastic!

Dijon Chickn is very good. Grilled salmon was dry, like Julia Childs would say, everything is better with butter. Their green beans are excellent, mac jalepeno casarole was corny but OK. Croissants are AMAZINGLY GOOD.

When this place opened I heard such a buzz about it and it was busy busy for a long time!!! I tried it out with my family and that will be the last time I ever go to Cheddars. Nothing went wrong... I just found it to be a very mediocre experience. The food was very bland and resembled cafeteria food. Terrible! The honey rolls were the only thing that really got eaten out of the 6 or 7 entrees on the table. Sad.

Service was terrible. The food was good. I came in for lunch. The place was packed. I waited at the hostess booth for someone to help me. Two employees walked past without a word. There were now people waiting behind me as well. The third employee walked over to the hostess station and stood there looking down the hall for a moment. I stared at her waiting for some sort of acknowledgement. After a few more minutes she looked at me and gave an awkward "hi". I asked if I could look in the bar for seating since they were so busy. She said yes there should be some high tops available. She grabbed a menu and followed me into the bar area. I asked if I could sit in the open booth. She said no because she just sat that section and couldn't triple seat it for the same server. I was greeted shortly after for my drink order. I ordered a water. It took her ten minutes to bring the water. When she came back to take my order I was already annoyed with this place. That hostess that told me I couldnt sit in the booth..well apparently the booth and the hightop are all the same server section. The booth got seated a few minutes after I did. We all have the same waitress. It is also overwhelmingly loud! I tried to order a lunch combo but they could not exclude the ham from my sandwich so I decided to choose something else. I ended up ordering the jalapeño burger with fries and a side Cesar salad. She asked if I wanted the salad before and I said yes please. Another 15 minutes goes by and my food comes out. Salad burger and fries all at the same time. I ate the salad first. Who eats a salad after a burger? By then my fries were cold. So I didn't really even eat them. Even though they charge you addional if you add a side to the burger. The food was good. But I won't be coming back.

Our server was attentive and quick. The place was clean. I had the ribs with mash potatoes and Cole slaw. The ribs were mostly fat, but the sides were good. The prices aren't too high either. Their onion rings were good. Nothing jumps out and screams spectacular, but it is a nice place to eat once in a while.

    O. K. been back a few times, here's the latest. I have been on a quest for the best chicken fingers in Omaha, since I grew tired of the terrible customer service at the Time Out restaurant, I think I have found them at Cheddars! I ordered the Chicken Tender Platter and was not disappointed. Everything was really tasty. The chicken was lightly seasoned and had the right amount of perfectly crunchy -very, very tasty! The broccoli casserole was homemade tasty. Service was also wonderfully pleasant.

I was not sure what to expect knowing that cheddars is a chain. This place beats out applebees and chili's anyday! The decor makes you feel like you are at a classy restaurant! I had the buffalo chicken wrap. Delicious and huge! Came with 4 wrap parts! Was able to take half home for dinner and I am a big eater! Very reasonable prices! Will be back

Not bad. Depending on your server, they're slow or fast-paced. I've been there several times. First time I was there with my husband and parents-in-law, I had a fast-paced, respectful and cheerful server for our table. Her service made me challenge her by ordering something else other than main dish. I didn't have a dessert but a drink which I asked her if they had or could make rum punch, which is a little bit of rum with some peach juice mixed in a glass. She or whoever made it really did a good job. I increased tips for her not because she made my drink excellent, but she said she would take the drink back if the drink I ordered didn't taste the way it should. I appreciated the offer/kindness. However, when I went back there another time when it was my husband and my 2nd wedding anniversary, we had a server who was slow. My husband had his main dish come first before he got his drink. He waited minutes for my food to be served but it took too long for him to wait and his food wasn't warm any longer. My food finally came after 45 mins when my husband was done with his food which made me feel a little bit uncomfortable because by seeing the empty plate of my husband hurried and made me feel like I kept him waiting even though he said "take your time." We waited for the water refills and check out after waiting for our meals... It's been 6 months since we ate there... We don't even know if we go back there again.

I just left there. The silverware was dirty but wrapped. The wine glass was dirty but wine was poured in. The bartop was dirty and sticky. I had to ask to have it wiped off. The plastic menu was sticky. Everything was dirty. I had to go wash my hands after touching the countertop and menu. The bathroom had dirty counters and overflowing trash cans. Oh yeah, this was at 4pm not 4am. There were numerous employees leaning not cleaning. My complaint to the manager was received with "Our Health inspection was yesterday and we passed." I get the place is inexpensive, but poor help, dirty dishes, inattentive employees are just too much. Start at the top. Fire management. and if there is time to lean, there is time to clean. My complaints to the manager about the condition of the bathroom took more than 10 minutes to be attended to. Then it was either a cook or a dishwasher who responded. Numerous servers leaned and never cleaned. I would not recommend this particular Cheddars to anyone. I have been to several Cheddars in a number of states. This one was wonderful when it opened, but now it is just horrible.

Huge cheap drinks and yummy food! I have never had a bad experience at Cheddars. The only thing that surprises me every time I go is how many people are there waiting for a seat. The wait usually isn't long though, in my experience. Let's talk drinks! They have yummy drinks that come in a huge glass for under $6! Sold! My favorite is the margarita, which comes with a side shot. Also- the painkiller is delicious! What should you order? A great value is the lunch special, which you are able to order at any time of the day. Any of the entrees that come with two sides are a good value as well. One of my favorite meals is the tilapia with shrimp. Whatever you order, be sure to get the side caesar salad, if you're not counting calories that is. It comes with a croissant drizzled in a yummy sauce. Overall, Cheddars is a great value for the amount of food and drink you get for your buck. It's a nice atmosphere. It actually appears more upscale on the inside than it actually is. The food is good. Just don't expect to be seated right away.

I could take it or leave it. Cheddars is pretty good although not my favorite it is a favorite among much of my family! I would never go if someone else did not suggest it but I'm always fine with it when they do! They have good prices and good food! Nothing has ever stood out to me the few times I have been here. One time I was with my mom and she found CARDBOARD in her food!! That's right cardboard they of course apologized and gave us her meal for free. We have been there since and never had any other problems. I like the restaurant it always looks nice and usually pretty busy! If you have never been to Cheddars it is certainly worth a try! Maybe I would have like it more if I found something on the menu I really like! I am a pretty picky eater and can be hard to please, food wise!

Had to be the worst food I've had at a sit down in a long time. Had the chicken fried steak it was obviously a frozen processed patty. The meat slid out of the breading. My friend had a hamburger patty again frozen McDonalds quality patty. Frozen processed skimpy. She ordered it without the bun and the truth of their burger is revealed. I complained and they did allow me to order something else so I got the pot pie.....joke. Never going back Will go to places that do not use frozen or canned processed food

My mother suggested this place as we were in the area and she had been here before and enjoyed it. I wasn't super excited as I am typically not a fan of chain eateries and on the outside this looked like it could be the most offensive one to date We walked in and it was very busy, but we were seated immediately. When we left later we fought through a massive sea of bodies waiting on this early Saturday evening. Thought about ordering the ribs as they were inexpensive, but I have learned that lesson finally. We both went for the rib-eye steaks that were super inexpensive. Ordered a baked potato and corn to go a long with it. Service was pretty decent as our waitress made the needed number of trips to the table and was pleasant enough. She brought a second drink for me when my large glass wasn't even half empty. Thought maybe that was to prep me for the server not wanting to come back to the table. Wasn't the case though. The steaks came out and they were fine and cooked the way I requested and of Sizzler quality. The baked potato was not wrapped in foil and cooled down quickly. The shredded cheese on top never had an chance at melting and I would have liked to have butter on my table to apply rather than have them make that choice for me. The corn was listed as corn off the cob and I guess it all comes off the cob, but this was bad canned corn and not edible. One thing that surprised me was the decor of the place. I expected to walk in and have it be brightly lit everything, with tons of stuff from the junk yard hung up and cheesy slogans everywhere. It's a pretty decent atmosphere (they are cramming people into the place pretty close) but it's understated with a lot of wood and not a lot of distracting decorations. I don't know-there is a value to this place for your wallet and it certainly wasn't horrible and I wouldn't pitch a fit if someone wanted to go here-but I can't see making this choice over local establishments.

Chicken fingers are one of the best around town. Very loud place. something about how noise carries in here but still worth it for the chicken. Make sure you ask for the croissants. The croissants use to be free but today we were charged.

One of my favorite places in Omaha. The food is amazing (I recommend the buffalo chicken strips, baked potato soup, or smokehouse burger), and ridiculously cheap. I don't know how it can be so cheap. The place is nice, the staff is super friendly, and it's all delicious. Also, make sure you get a Texas Margarita. DO IT. (The painkillers seem neat because they limit you to two, but they're not that great.)

Came in with my family for lunch and left wondering why the overall rating for this place is only 3 stars. The place was packed but we were seated immediately and our waiter was attentive throughout. I ordered the lunch combo (1/2 Monte Cristo, salad, and baked potato soup - only $7!) The others in my group ordered chicken strips, burgers, and another lunch combo. Everything was fantastic and the portion sizes were good too - all 5 meals came to only $36.

This place was packed on a Friday night, even at 8pm. The food is plentiful for the price you pay. We were all satisfied with our meals and even ended up taking some home because the servings were so large. I had the shrimp and chicken strips that came with rice and a choice of two sides. I went with green beans and mashed potatoes. The chicken strips were great and heated up well the next day. The food overall was good but nothing more than a what you'd get at an Applebee's or Macaroni Grill. The place had a lot of families and after dining there I can understand why. Food is plentiful, tasty, and drinks and food are cheap. There is no happy hour, but drinks are only a few bucks - even for a martini! There's even a drink on the menu that is limited to two servings per dining experience...so I'm thinking it's pretty strong. The one odd thing we noticed that was a little confusing was the multiple wait staff we had. I think there were at least 3-4 different people that interacted with us, which wasn't a big deal other than that they didn't really communicate too well with each other. We had told one waiter to give us a few minutes to look at the menu and within a minute we had another waiter ask us if we were ready. After a couple of more of these interactions we finally had to ask what was going on. They explained that the bar staff also helps to cover the tables in the area we were in. Once we knew that we helped to communicate with them as to what we needed.

Been here a few times. Haven't been disappointed as of yet.(although the chicken fried steak was not a good look for me) no flavor, breading feel apart, meat was a no no. But anywho! Good food & drinks. All for a very reasonable price & portion. Good place to take a date fellas, if she's never been. The Decor and food will trick her into thinking she's somewhere fancy! Lol just kidding, but good place to go for a good meal. That won't hurt the pockets one bit.

Visiting Omaha and some friends took us to Cheddar's. Holy Crap do you get a lot of food here. It was a literal mountain of food and it was incredibly cheap, like 35 bucks for drinks, an appetizer, and entrees. On top of the quantity for the price the food was excellent and our waiter did a A+ job. If we are ever in town again will definitely consider eating here again.

Way better than any place in Omaha for cheap causal food. Great onion rings, great hamburgers and everything I had was fantastic. They're always slammed with business. Best time to go is around 2pm or late night.

Cheddars is on of the best kept secrets around. If you go during traditional meal times be prepared for a long wait. I've been there several times over the years and have always enjoyed my food. It tastes homemade, their onion rings are nothing short of amazing. One time I did find a fly in my salad but they made it right.

Usually there's an hour and a half wait, but we got "lucky" tonight...NOT. We were seated right away. Got our drinks and salad quickly. The main dishes came, they were not very good. Chicken pot pie had 2 pieces of chicken in it along with carrots and peas. Green beans that came with the lemon pepper chicken were canned, not fresh. Cole slaw was not home made. Asked for a refill, it never came. Denny's food is better. We will not be returning.

Went back again! Unfortunately there was an hour wait just for 2 people so we ate at the bar! The service was again, fast and friendly. I wish I could remember the bartenders name! He was AWESOME! Also, the Onion rings we got for an appetizer were SO GOOD! ah! Can't wait to go back... again.

Had the monte cristo and onion rings for lunch. The place was super busy but I got seated quickly. The sandwich was pretty good and the rings were really good. Both were heavily steeped in oil so not very healthy but ok if you want to splurge i guess. Waiter was friendly and service was quick. And it was as cheap as any fast food joint.

Like all other Cheddars I've been too. Service was great and the food came out very fast. Great place to go on off hours because of their popularity, cheap prices, and location. I like to buy gift cards from here to give to friends because they can get a lot for a little bit of money.

I have given Cheddars so many chances, but they just fucking suck. The first time I visited here was literally the week they opened. I got the buffalo chicken fingers and my partner wanted the New Orleans Pasta. Apparently they were out of the New Orleans Pasta. My partner ordered something else. A few minutes later the manager came to us and apologized for being out of the New Olreans Pasta and said that next time we came in, my partner could get it for free and all we had to do was tell our sever was the name of the dish and the managers name. Ok fair enough. I'd like to add that I told our waiter several times that while I did want the buffalo chicken fingers that I wanted the buffalo on the side and not drenched all over the chicken. Of course when our meals come out, the buffalo sauce is not on the side and my fingers were sopping in it. It was more like I got chicken with my buffalo sauce. Ugh. The second chance we gave Cheddars is when we dined there with some friends. I'll have to admit that I did not have a problem this time but one of my friends did. She ordered chicken nachos. She was served beef nachos. About 2 bites in she realizes that she is in fact not eating chicken. We flag down our waitress who does not appear to be sympathetic at all. She tried to bully my friend into just keeping the beef nachos. I decided to speak up for my friend as she is entirely too nice. The waitress got a little pissy and pulled out her paper pad and showed us that she did in fact write chicken nachos and not beef nachos. Okay? But she's the only person we come into contact with, she needs to apologize on behalf of the restaurant itself, even if she didn't make the mistake. She was a total bitch about it, trying to tell us that we need to take up qualms with the kitchen and not her. Guess who didn't get a tip? The final time I ate at Cheddars was about this time last year. We decided to try it again, like fools. We go to order our food and my partner was finally going to take Cheddars up on that free New Orleans Pasta. We tell our waitress that so and so told us and she said she would go get him. Well after 15 minutes she comes back and says that she can't approve the request. Uhh what? We ask to speak to the loser manager and he was "unavailable" so we order our food -- which once again -- it's not horrible, but it's not great either. Pay and leave. We won't be back.

I went in there with low expectations, and unfortunately was not disappointed. There is nothing special about them. They are like so many other chain restaurants of this sort. Pretty tasty. I got the Shepherd's Pie. Cleaned my plate (like a good boy should). Everyone else in the party thought it was "too much food." Huh?

Had lunch after church. Had a 15 minute wait, for our table. It took 70 minutes or our food ( family of 6). Food wasn't very good, could hardly cut the chicken fried steak, my shepherds pie had crunchy vegetables. Our server was excellent, I will never eat here again.

We went here today because my husband wanted to try it out. I wanted to dislike it from the beginning but only people who know me know why. Our server did a good job taking our drink orders and appetizer orders. The Coke tasted a little light on the syrup but I'm guessing that's how their machine is calibrated (maximum profit). We had the Texas Cheese Fries as our appetizer. They were pretty good, the shining moment of the appetizer was in the ranch dressing. It was delicious. I had the Monte Cristo which was also very good. The batter was slightly thicker than I'd prefer, but the meat and cheese on the inside, as well as the raspberry preserves were great. My husband had the chicken fried steak which was chewy, rubbery and over cooked. The corn tasted frozen as well. We asked our server if the chicken fried steak was hand breaded to which he replied that everything is homemade. Let's be honest, it's almost impossible for everything in a restaurant like that to be homemade. The bleu cheese dressing clearly came directly from a jug and was TERRIBLE! I did see a lady who I decided was the most likely to be the manager walking around but she wasn't doing any table touches. It's their second week open and there are still way too many servers walking around. Maybe in a couple of weeks they will start cutting back. I might go back again. We shall see. On a side note: One thing I did not like was the binder/booklet they had on the table showing all of their cocktails and liquor selections. Why would you put that book on the table when you don't have your liquor license?

Had never even heard of Cheddars until we found this one in Omaha. We really enjoyed ourselves. The meal was really good, starting with the onion rings. Our waiter, Shadrac, was quick and efficient, very friendly. I know some of the other reviews were not favorable but that was not our experience at all. We will probably go back next time we're in Omaha.

We went to Cheddars in Omaha on it's first day. We were familiar with the chain as they used to have a franchise in West Des Moines, Iowa that we always stopped at during our trips to the Twin Cities. We loved it! Unfortunately, the restaurant is no longer there. We were thrilled when we saw their new outlet being built near 120th and L Street/Industrial Road in Omaha. We were not disappointed! The place is new and beautiful, and we were there for lunch. We ordered what we both liked at the old Cheddars, I. E. A salad/half sandwich/loaded potato combo for me and chicken piccata for my bride. Both were exactly as we expected. Service was superb, if a bit nervous with all the Cheddars corporate executives around. That will settle down. We will be back. As always we loved it. The only ambiance item that was missing were the beautiful hanging plants that dominated the West Des Moines restaurant.
