The have the best burritos in town. So much food for your money. Real authentic Mexican food not like the chain restaurants. Weekend nights the drive thru is a little slow but that's because it seems to be their busiest time. Overall a great place to go!.

I can't even sum up how good this place is in one word. So I won't try. This place serves the best Mexican food I've had in years from a fast food chain.

Big fan of this place. Ive only used the drive thru. I always get the carne asada burrito and the taquitos. Both are extremely tastey and large portions for a great price. This is the place to go if u are craving mexican. Make sure u get the taquitos with all the fixins!!

The best way that I can summarize my love for Abelardo's is to say that I once risked (and succeeded) in wrecking a car to go get food here. It was a terrible, snowy night but my craving was too much so I risked it. $7000 in vehicle damage later I still don't regret the trip. Abelardo's is a 24-hour, family-owned Mexican restaurant. The food is delicious. I don't mean "delicious for Nebraska Mexican food" delicious, I mean delicious delicious. My personal favorite is the chicken burrito but I've danced across this entire menu and there isn't a bad choice anywhere. The churros are also bomb for dessert. It's probably the only menu item that I won't slather in their delicious house hot sauce. The food is cheap, which is awesome since the portions are huge. The restaurant itself is small and isn't in the greatest part of town, but I haven't eaten inside the restaurant more than a couple of times. As is my habit, I can't seem to find enough things to say about this place. It's delicious. Go eat here.

I like this place. Open 24 hours and it is decently priced Mexican food. I love all of their tacos and taquitos. The staff is always nice.

I enjoy this cheap and yummy food. It isn't the BEST Mexican food BUT it is cheap and drive thru. The food is however grilled so the flavor is great. Are the ingredients super fresh... no but they aren't old either. I've tried pretty much everything on the menu. Rice and beans... just like any other Mexi joint. Steak entrees.... Seasoning on the beef is lacking. They need to do more. Also, the cut of meat is cheap.... but I did say the food is cheap. Chicken-- grilled nicely and seasoned well. I don't like ground beef with Mexi food.... so I can't review that. If you know you are not going for a gourmet meal... and just want some cheap grilled Mexi food...this is your place.

I love the burritos here! They are so good and they also have other menu items that are tasty. But I keep coming back for the burritos, the steak burrito with rice, sour cream, cheese, and beans. The first time I tried this place, I was very sceptical. My standards for Hispanic food are pretty high, but these burritos are pretty amazing. I brought a few friends here to try it out real late at night, (3 am), and they loved it! They told me they might of found their favorite burrito spot. Plus it doesn't hurt that Abelardo's is the best of Omaha for burritos! The staff is pretty friendly and are open pretty late. One downfall is that this place does seem to be a little dirty but it doesn't affect how the food taste. It isn't a fancy restaurant to go on romantic dates, but it is a delicious restaurant to eat delicious burrito!

Ordered a beef taco and the Carne Asada burrito meal. Reading some of the reviews from the other Abelardo's locations I was expecting epicness. I must admit I did like the taco shell itself but the beef and filling inside left a lot to be desired. Next up was the Carne Asada burrito and it was your standard burrito with carne asada, some guacamole, and some pico de gallo. Threw some of the green sauce on it saved the burrito. I really wanted to like this place but sadly I will continue my search for better Mexican food.

This is a great place to get Mexican food on the go. I havent had a breakfeast burrito in Omaha as good as theirs! I wasnt too impressed with the enchilada plate but everything else was great. The horchata and jamaica are good as well.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
