Really nice & clean "small town cafe" with friendly service! Food was EXCELLENT.....fresh, hot, quickly served, & avg. price you'd expect for quality food. The 2 egg/bacon/hashbrown/toast special with a sm. side of very fresh bisquits/sausage gravy was marvelous. Coffee is included with the breakfast specials. We are here for work & were told by locals this was THEE place to eat........I would agree! Also, of the two motels in this very small town, the Deluxe Motel is by far the one to stay at.......fridge, micro, good size rooms, but beware they do not keep a full time front desk staff.........you normally have to call the motel # & the front desk girl is usually about a half hour away if you need anything. I had a FedEx package not delivered because they never told me they don't have someone at the front office full time to accept deliveries.
I had not expected a lot, but had expected that the food would be good and that there would be adequate numbers of staff. We waited several minutes before anyone came to the desk, then another few minutes before we were taken to a seat where the person threw the menus on the table before asking "is this OK?" Don't order the seafood pasta - stupid of me to imagine it might be good, in rural Nebraska. And then there was the country music radio station, not just country music on tape or CD, but the station, so we also got to hear the commercials and the blather.
