Best Italian food in Kearney. However, there are not many "Italian" restaurants in town, this is the best one. The starters are very good and they bring you complimentary rolls with their own olive oil and seasoning mixture for authentic dipping. The pasta was great, I tried 3 different dishes and all were excellent. I ordered the lobster ravioli and it was great. The pesto sauce on another dish was amazing. The fried ravioli appetizer we had was also good. Service was fantastic and personal. The speed was super fast, not a very long wait at all. Atmosphere is great, faux Italian type look and good classic music.

The best Italian food in Kearney, unfortunately it's the only Italian food in Kearney (not counting pizza joints). The bread and oil is a decent touch, it doesn't compare to breadsticks, but it's ok. The sauce is always so watery and runny, without much flavor. I had the chicken parm, pretty easy dish, except there using processed chicken. This is an immediate deal breaker. Any basic cook can make chicken parm from scratch, so why is an "Italian restaurant" using frozen patties? I've heard people like their pizza, I don't, but then I'm not a big fan of olive gardens pizza either.

Pizza was alright. But honestly, I'd rather eat dominos than Napoli's pizza. Our waitress acted like a robot, completely void of emotion and common sense manners. Not very attentive. I ordered a lemon drop that tastes like dirty tap water with a hint of lemon. Won't be coming back here again.

Very good Italian food (considering that you're in Nebraska). Portion sizes are excellent. I had the pasta sampler with cheese ravioli, manicotti, and lasagne. The lasagne wasn't as thick/dense as I prefer, but still good. Very good salad. We did not try the wine. The decor could use a little help, but it's clean and neat, if a little sparse.

Went there last night. Very enjoyable. My son had the pizza which looked very good. My wife had the shrimp and cheese ravioli with the pesto sauce. The sauce was amazing. I had the chicken parm that was exactly what I wanted. Only complaint we had was the rolls we slightly burnt on the bottom.

Not tasty. The sauce was sour, the salad overdressed, and the portions were too large. I guess I just don't like how Nebraska does Italian. Everyone else at the restaurant seemed satisfied enough.

First time here. The experience was positive, good food and good service. For Kearney, NE that puts this place among the top spots in town. We had a pasta meal and a Ciopinno. Both were fresh and served elegantly. I would recommend this place as the best traditional Italian place in town. Also had a nice wine list, serviceable for a midprice restaurant.

We had a great meal from beginning to end. My wife ordered the lasagne and it was fantastic. I ordered some pizza and it was even better. The bread was very tasty and I had a nice white wine from Italy. I will be going back again and again.

Okay, gotta counter the low score from Chantel. I've spent a lot of time in MI, and what passes for Italian there is gross. For a good laugh (if you have money to blow and later dinner plans somewhere good), try the "best pizza in Michigan" at Buddy's in the Detroit area, and you'll understand just how misguided any MI advice on Italian food can be. Napoli's is good, basic Italian fare, and the pizzas are a bit above that, though not quite up to Thunderhead level.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
