Great nachos. Too loud inside. Prices ok, service is good.

I really liked this place. The service was decent...enough. Would have been better if we were locals, but whatever. The food was good. We started with the steak nachos, which had rare to med bites of steak atop a heaping mound of cheesy goodness. Jalapenos which are one of my favorite things were bountiful. The side salad was perfect for me after sharing the nachos, but my friends all ordered steaks which cooked to order looked pretty good. The entertainment was up and down, but with Keno and a live piano playing singer, it was quite entertaining...yes, you feel me. QUITE entertaining.

The steak nachos are worth coming again and again for. The fish and chips are another favorite for us.

I have gone to this place numerous times and it seems like each time I go, I am more disappointed. This year (2015) I have only been once. I used to go once a week! First their steak nachos.... $15 for a bag of chips?!?! are you kidding me? I see those steak nachos sit in the window way longer than they should! For $15 I would expect them to be delivered to my table immediately! I know the steak nachos bring in a lot of money to the restaurant and they should be treated as a high priority! Also they should be COVERED in cheese! I should not have to ask for a side of cheese just so i can finish my over-priced nachos & then be charged for said cheese. Plus they are STEAK nachos, last time I was there I asked where the steak was and the waitress helped me count, we found a total of 7 pieces of steak!! Really? I was in disbelief! Second, the guac burger.. the "guac" is squirted out of a plastic bag and tastes horrible! The noise is unbearable in the bar area and if you try the dining room you'll wait forever and maybe get lack luster service. I dont see what all the hype is surrounding this place anymore...

Sure it is pricey but I have always had a very good rib-eye . Flavor and cooked right, what else could be better.

Best spot in Scottsbluff for a nice dinner and to enjoy a cocktail. Very attentive and friendly wait staff. High Recommended!!

Never went here much as the business location had gone through a lot of owners in the past. Ate here a few times and the last time was over a year ago with a friend and her family (mother, her daughter, and sister, etc.). Never will go back again because of the service from the waitress from start to finish. Friends daughter had small bit of mold on her bun, this was replaced and corrected, but when the time for the bill came no one offered any kind of discount for having to wait for bad food to be fixed and then when the waitress was asked to provide a discount she argued the menu cost of each item on the plate that wasn't wrong...she got only 1 tip from me "Treat the customers better" especially when it comes to a $4.50 kid meal item. Otherwise horribly crowded and noisy so not my kind of place... P.S. This was last year so maybe the waitress has been fired, but I just won't even go back to find out.

We were travelling through Scottsbluff and asked around and this place came highly recommended from several locals. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the people were very friendly, the food was very good, and the service was fine. A nice clean (even the silverware) unique restaurant! Check it out when you are in the area.

Came here for dinner, happy hour lucky for us. Service was fantastic, courteous, and prompt. Food was fantastic, the New York strip was to die for. My wife had shrimp scampi, was excellent. When in the area you have to eat here.

I was working in the middle of this friendly, small, high plains town called Scotts Bluff, Nebraska (they even have a National Park not too far from this restaurant!) and was told to check out this place...some other guys I worked with out here raved about the steaks at this place and I figured it IS Nebraska cows we're talking about! Well they were right! My first time there I got a small rib eye and it was pretty damn good. The sides are pretty good too. Not a bad menu with decent prices and a variety of items if you are not up for killing some cows! I had a shrimp cocktail appetizer once (surf and turf a la Western Nebraska Panhandle style) and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and size of shrimps. It's a cool concept in this place. Part farm town, part sports bar, and part fine dining all mixed in this place. I was treading the line on giving it 4 stars because the service here is spotty. It's all friendly...don't get me wrong I'm not a high-maintenance city slicker (well not ALWAYS, ha ha) but a lot of reminders and missed orders took place. In all fairness though, this place seemed to have a younger, new wait staff and they are always busy so that can be easily tweeked with some time and veteran leadership. But the steaks pushed it to 5 stars!

We spent a day and a half in Scottsbluff during our tour of NE National Parks and decided to try dinner here on a recommendation from one of my wife's coworkers. Between the three of us we ordered a steak, jalapeno popper burger, and pulled pork sammie. Everyone was very happy with the food. My popper burger was loaded with jalapenos and it brought the heat but in that good burn kind of way. Only complaint was that the waitress wasn't that great but if you are looking for a good dinner in the area, I will put dollars to donuts on this place.

Amazing food and great wine! Fun atmosphere in bar or more intimate feel in the dining room!

Let me start by saying I like the idea of the split dining meaning you have the bar area and then the smaller dining area that is quiter and you can have a conversation. The service was good little confusing on the dress of the wait staff; one was casual dress and the other was dressed as if waiting on tables in a semi upscale restaurant. The special of the evening was a Chicken fried steak (pan fried) not deep fried. Panko crust which basically fell off the steak. The steak was thin and overall was just okay. Came with mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. It's Nebraska I expected better. The one other thing I think the Restaurant needs to make a change in is the napkin spread on the center of the Table need to go. Either cover the table or leave bare (the steel) is good and adds to the atmosphere. Work on your breading of your Chicken fried steak and really improve the amount of steak used. Find a new supplier for your dinner rolls or make your own. I think an overhaul of the menu would help - Oh by the way if I had wanted dessert there was none.

Steak moderately priced bartender doesn't know how to pour a single malt with water back. Waitstaff young but personable. Will come back as it is one of the better eating establishments in the area.

Steak Nachos - 'nough said. Great atmosphere, clean place, great place to watch a game - love the tractor blades on the roof ... A Nebraska tradition like the BlackShirts.

The ribeye was perfect! Excellent flavor/seasoning. Tender - melts in your mouth. Don't miss out on this steak!!! The sides are good and go well with bar atmosphere. Place is lively with fun vibe. Server was polite, efficient and easy going with plenty of laughter, a pleasure! Fried pickle spears were a good app. and came out in less than 5 minutes after ordering. Steak arrived in perfect amount of time after app. Bar was about half full.

When we dine out, The Steel Grill is always our number one choice. They have wonderful prime rib, Steak Nachos are always popular, we enjoy the Alfredo, there are way too many things on their menu to list. We always have friendly staff. Sometimes they have entertainers which makes the night fun. They offer keno and a full service bar as well or a private dining area if you prefer. You really can't go wrong with the Steel Grill.

My wife and I stopped here after the place we chose based on reviews here looked scary. It was late on Wednesday but there were still several people eating. We chose sandwiches and found them quite good and the service just as good. We'll be back in the area next month and plan to take several people with us when we return.

When this place first open, the food and service were both great, but they both have gone down hill. Was in there on Saturday at 7:00 p.m., and they were already out of their special for the day. I am vegan, so typically they can make a veggie wrap for me. Not no more - they no longer carry the tortillas. My glass of wine also had debris floating in the top, which is not the first time this has happened to me. They also advertised items on their menu that they haven't carried in the restaurant for a while (wouldn't crossing it off with a marker work?). I don't think I will go back here.

Arriving at this place I thought it was going to be phenomenal as there were a lot of people there. We ordered some hot wings for our appetizer, and I was pretty dissappointed. The sauce was very weak and the chicken was very rubbery. It also came out luke warm, the chicken must have sat there for a while as we waited for a long time for our food to come out. I also ordered their Sirloin Steak cooked Medium Rare, it came out Medium Well, which isn't a huge loss, but the steak itself was not very good. The steak was too dry (obv), and it had NO flavor. I also had the sauteed onions and mushrooms, and if it wasn't for those I would have needed to use steak sauce. I don't like to use steak sauce unless the meat does not taste good or does not have any seasoning. They essentially jsut threw the steak on the grill without adding anything to it, and it tasted as if it was old or frozen. It was not a good steak. My coworker ordered the Rib Eye and felt the same way. He was not pleased with his steak and we were shocked as everyone we spoke to said this was the best Steak House in the area.

I can't get enough of this place. Hands down the best sports bar in the town! Amazing food and moderately priced. Great place to just grab drinks even. And with being able to choose the fine dining area or the more "rowdy" side of the restaurant, this is the best place for any occasion! PS- the steak nachos are an Amazing appetizer big enough to call itself an entrée

We came in for lunch today and I was anxious to try this place! My husband has been a couple times but I had never tried it before. He loves the potato nachos and says their steaks are incredible. We started off with the steak nachos and were not disappointed! They are HUGE and topped with a ton of thick cut chunks of super juicy, tender steak. Probably some of the best nachos I've ever had but be warned...they are huge! We then split the cowboy burger, which was good but nothing really to write home about. We were both pretty stuffed from the nachos and splitting a burger was more than enough for us. Fries were hot and crispy and the service was great, although there were a bunch of flies in the restaurant but I think that just might be the norm in scottsbluff. Overall, great food and exceptional nachos! We will be back.

Best restaurant in the valley. Great service and steaks as well as live entertainment some nights. You won't find anything better price wise for your experience at the steel grill. Bar 64 in Bridgeport is good as well
