I am very happy that these guys have come to Bellevue! Bellevue was in need of a quality Chinese place, and in dire need of one that -delivers-! I've lost track of how many times I've eaten here, but I've come many times since their opening week. They are clean, friendly, and pretty fast. I've had them deliver twice, both times the order was correct and came very quickly. My employer also had them cater for a company meeting which was delicious, and I'm told 'a great deal for what we got'. My first time in I was recommended one of their jalapeño dishes. Very good, but a touch spicy for my liking. Spice lovers will probably love these. I have had a lot of items from their menu, and have found them all to be pretty good. The 'black pepper' dishes tend to be my go-to. A friend of mine says the peanut butter chicken is the best he has had, and I do hear many others say similar. (PB is hit and miss for me) Their hot and sour soup is excellent. Their crab rangoon. Most of the entrées come with 2 crab rangoon, and they seem to be a hotly debated item. From my own friends as well as reviews, it seems like these are either loved or hated. I personally love them and think the filling is some of the better that I have had. People that don't like them have said they thought they were overcooked or had an oily taste, but I have not had any like that so it could be an issue with consistency. Lastly, my only critique is that the portions are slightly smaller than what you see from other places, but that said, you won't be leaving here hungry. Worth giving them your business!

I stopped in here for a weekday lunch in July. They've certainly cleaned the interior of the building up. Those from the area might remember this was a Pizza Hut for many years and was like 5 other restaurants before Golden Bowl opened up in 2015. Unfortunately, the asphalt parking lot is in bad need of a replacement (it's beyond just patching and coating). In addition to their full service dining room, you can order take out at the counter, phone in your take out order, and they even have delivery too. I believe the recipes come from the same people who were behind House of Hunan in Omaha off of 132nd & Center. There's is also a second Golden Bowl in Sioux City, Iowa. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken. Most entrées come with fried rice and two Cream Cheese Rangoon (they call them Crab Rangoon, but I think we all know there's never any crab in most Asian restaurant's rangoons). I also threw an egg roll on the order. The General Tso's Chicken was very tasty. Breading was crisp and chicken wasn't precooked and reheated. Sauce was tasty too and not overly spicy. I'm sure you can request it hotter if you prefer. My only small complaint about this dish was that a few of my bites of chicken had a slight seafood aftertaste liked they'd come into contact with seafood/shellfish during the cooking process. Egg Roll was good. Very dense and not mushy like some of the ones you get that have been frozen and thawed a half dozen times. Iced Tea was very good. I get so easily excited about good iced tea, but I've had so much awful iced tea in restaurants that getting some that's good is worthy of a mention. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices are cheap ($7/entrée). Definitely give this place a try if you're in Bellevue at mealtime.

While the food here is a 3.5, the incredible service I got while dining alone here brought it up to a 4 for sure! Let's discuss. Unassuming little restaurant. Looks like it maybe used to be... a Fazoli's? A non-buffet Pizza Hut? Who knows. It's clean, well-windowed, and quite homey. The soups here have distinctive, flavorful broths, which is proving to be harder to find than you'd think in Omaha. I did not order egg rolls, since they only ones they offered seemed to be chicken (booooo), but I did try a potsticker. They are served fried, which is not my favorite, but I asked if they can be prepared steamed upon request, and they said absolutely. So, if you're into steamed and not fried, make sure you ask. The Honey Walnut Shrimp here is actually really good! The sauce is a little thicker than I would like, but the flavor is spot on. At lunch, it comes with fried or steamed rice (duh, the answer is steamed) and 2 crab rangoon, which I did not know. I don't like crab rangoon, so realistically it went untouched. But good info to have! The way they do their Honey Shrimp is battered and fried, tail on. Watch out for tails, if you're not into tails! Most Chinese places here have been completely abysmal, service-wise. Rude person on the phone, or shady exterior, or doesn't take credit cards... all kinds of roadblocks to making me want to go there. Golden Bowl has NONE of these things! There is a super cute Asian guy who works there (hey youuuuuuu) and was very friendly and attentive. My water glass never went less than half full, and he checked on me after every dish, making sure everything tasted good. Honestly some of the best service I've had at any restaurant here so far, much less a lower-end one. China Town is my delivery place, and Golden Bowl may be my "lunch-with-husband" place, as he works in that area. Definitely worth a shot!

We've been in at least a dozen times now and it's safe to say this is my family's favorite restaurant. All 4 of my children launch themselves out of wherever they're sitting when I say we're going here to eat, "Peanut Butter Chicken! Woo!" We've found our favorites after so many visits (PB, Sesame, and String Bean Chicken, and Egg Foo Young) and typically order 3 of those or a couple of those along with something new. We have yet to leave anything other than happy with both the food and the service. I'm happy with the prices too - 3 Family Size entrees feeds this family of 6 for $30.

Went here today. It was one of the best Chinese restaurants we have ate at. Everything was fresh and so good. The waiter was so nice and informative. Will definitely be back. They have Pepsi products. A+++

I stopped by for a take-out meal and I was very pleased I did. I asked the person taking my order what was good and he said nothing...Ha ha ha, I truly love a smart a$$. Anyway, he proceeded to ask me a couple of questions about my food preferences and he quickly recommended the combination Jalapeño Combination. I have to say his recommendation was spot on, because it was fresh and very tasty. I planned on eating half for dinner and saving the rest for lunch the next day. I gobbled up the whole meal for dinner, so much for my leftovers. Yum

We stopped by and was pleasantly surprised. Clean pleasant restaurant. Fast service. We had the peanut butter chicken and the sesame chicken, both dishes very tasty and the chicken was not tough. The dishes came with a side of rice and 2 crab Rangoon. The crab Rangoon filling was ok.. looked like flavored cream cheese, but not bad. Pop was not fountain pop, it was served from cans or bottles. We will be back.

Crab rangoon: only filled with cream cheese Hot braised pork: not actually hot braised pork. It's breaded deep fried pork in chasiu sauce. It still tasted great though. Restaurant has a nice light nutty aroma. Mandarin background music. Price is cheap and preparation is fast.

So close to 5 stars. First the good. The food is almost all outstanding. Good taste, though a little overcooked in IMHO (Chinese vegetables should be lightly cooked to almost raw). Decent portions, though on the smaller side compare to most places. The take out comes in reusable plastic bowels so I am now well stocked for taking leftovers to work. The bad. The biggest problem are the Crab Rangoons. They taste like they were cooked in pure sesame seed oil. Just nasty. Sometimes they taste normal and are a hit. The other problem is price. For what you get it's not a good deal. Nearby places give nearly twice as much for even less than you pay here. Their family size MIGHT feed 2 if they already had something else to eat prior. I go back because of taste and honestly the next closest place is just too far out of my way to bother saving a few dollars. So flavor wise, they are one of the better places in the area, but they need to work on consistency with the Crab Rangoons in making them, edible. Fix that and lower the prices just a little(I prefer lower prices over greater quantities, but larger servings would also fix this) and it will be a 5 star.

I have come here at least 3 times a week since I tried it on a whim a few days after they open. It is now by far my favorite Chinese Restaurant in Bellevue. The food is excellent (especially the general tso chicken, YUM), the service is good but not always great, and they DELIVER, thank the Lord, I dont have to drive!! Only two complaints, one, the crab rangoon is hit or miss...sometimes it is on point! Other times it tastes like dirty oil...two, get a soda fountain! I dont want to pay for multiple cans/bottles of pop! Other than those two minor things, far and away the best Chinese in town! Ill see you tomorrow Golden Bowl!

I'm always iffy about trying new places, so glad I did. They messed up our order a little bit but it was all amazing! It's nice to have a new place that delivers

Tried the Golden Bowl tonight and it was really good. I had the General's Chicken and crab rangoon. The General's Chicken was excellent but it could stand to be a little hotter. The crab rangoon was just ok. I have definitely had better All in all I think it is worth the trip.

Another Chinese restaurant in Bellevue, surprise. Had the crap Rangoon , tempura shrimp firecracker shrimp and seafood delight. Not impressed at all on all fronts. This is just another run of the mill Chinese cuisine that would of had two stars if the staff weren't so super nice and friendly. If you want Chinese and live nearby it'll work. But Bellevue has too many Asian restaurants to settle for just another Chinese restaurant. The city is small I won't be going back soon unless I get lazy. In my opinion the drive to somewhere else would be worth it.

First time customer...My sister and I had almost all the appetizers....all of them really good. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because I like a cocktail at my chinese dinner...LOL..They do deliver so maybe thats the answer...Give it a try...very good,

Wonderful food for very reasonable. We had Chicken & Vegetables family size. Excellent brown sauce, crab rangoon is second to none. Service is friendly, helpful but not smothering. No accent problem, very clean, low prices. We came at dinner rush, full house but still quick & attentive. Try it you will love it.

Happy to have our favorite Chinese back in our lives! Everything tasted amazing and we saw so many familiar faces. We drove 45 minutes and it was well worth it. Fast service, delicious entrees, and low prices. Not a single complaint here!!

From what I understand by checking out their website, the former owners of House of Hunan are not affiliated with House of Fusion and Golden Bowl is a top rated restaurant in Sioux City. The former owners of House of Hunan, however, has brought all their great sauces over and now have two locations for Golden Bowl, now with one in Bellevue! That's all I needed to know to try it out, and obviously I was amazed. Great service, excellent food!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
