Food is delicious, best in town. But, we just went there and the door was locked on a Saturday at 6pm. Closed for good?
Food was fantastic, and quick! The service was also great and genuinely friendly! I can't wait for the next time I'm in jamestown! only complaint was the rude lady next to us that told them to turn down the music( it wasn't loud) I just hope people like that don't discourage them from playing it! I would hate to hear some lame pop station next time I go in!
The only authentic Mexican restaurant in Jamestown. Service is a little slow, but the food is worth the wait.

I had some communication issues with the speaker when I ordered. I thought I was getting a chicken sandwich, but I ended up with a 6-piece chicken tenders meal with bread and fries. Hey, I'm not complaining. That shizz was delicious.

Busy Friday night, service was understandably slow but food was good. Prices were excellent. The one thing that was odd was the seating. All the tables are for like 6 people and we felt bad taking such a big table for just the two of us. Also, the menu to me seemed like maybe should have had steaks. I'm not from Jamestown and didn't know. As busy as it was there they could clean up with an expanded menu. Just a thought.
Great spot, fast service, good beer and good food. I had a couple pints of beer and a patty melt, happy. The bartenders we quick and attentive. Got to watch some hockey on the telly. Very clean. Menu was creative. Would go back. That is all.
Defiantly a local spot. Separate bar and restaurant. Clean and rustic bar area, pool table, blackjack but only one small tv. Typical bar food, good not great. Friendly service.

Babb’s Coffee House

100 1st Ave S
Jamestown, 58401
Reviews:
The high rating is relative to alternatives in the area. (I have found none that come close.) In the heart of the historic downtown, with coffee (inspired by the little coffee houses of Seattle in the 80's), baked goods, and decent breakfast and lunch menus. Service for food can be slow, but the quality is quite good and the atmosphere easy to wait in. It is WAY better value than the fast food by the highway -- much better quality and more for your money. A good spot to take a few extra minutes to relax and enjoy. Decent espresso. Games and books to enjoy in a variety of comfortable corners. Note the very fun chess table.
Babb's is located right downtown and was easy to find. I had a French press carafe of the Dancing Goats coffee and a home made sausage/egg/cheese breakfast sandwich. The coffee and sandwich were absolutely delicious. The owner was extremely friendly and service was spot on. Next time I'm back in town, I will definitely be coming back. Do yourself a favor and skip the chain restaurants and buy local.
Try their raspberry muffins...trust me. Man oh man is this place cute. It's a chill little coffee house with plenty of space to relax and enjoy a nice cup of coffee. I was in town for work so I stopped by for a bit to catch up on emails and relax. I took the first bite of my muffin and made the "holy cow this is good" face, pretty sure someone saw me. Oh well. It really was! I have never had a muffin that wasn't dry all the way through but it's like they actually had a large portion of real fruit in the middle to keep it nice and flavorful. Half way through it I thought about ordering another flavor just to have more. I ordered a large marshmallow iced mocha. It was good, didn't taste much marshmallow, but it was still good coffee nonetheless. I love the atmosphere too. It's a hodgepodge of random furniture and art work which gives it a really cool small town vide. Nice big windows with lots of natural light and good wifi round out a fantastic experience. If I am ever back in town for work I will be making a stop by. I am almost sad that today is my last day.

Great service the food was 100% better than a microwaved plate from Paradiso. I had the carne Asada. I asked for extra hot and I got it. Great place nice staff I will return.
Lã Carreta is directly across the street from my hotel Quality Inn and Suites. I almost skipped this place because of self-centered rookie yelpers from previous reviews. Due to the word of mouth from a satisfied guest from my hotel I decided to eat here the following day. I ordered the Rodeo Fajitas it was tasty and it is enough to share for two. I saved mine for two meals. I'm from San Diego which probably has better Mexican food than your city and I would come back to Lã Carreta. Come give them a try. Their low ratings does not justify the quality of their food.
If you're looking for great Mexican food and great service, too, this is the place to be in Jamestown. I walked half a mile to get there and it was worth every step. Great flavor and the waiter was very nice. Skip paradiso, head over here instead!

My attempt to save the world from bad pizza one review at a time is failing terribly in Jamestown, ND. These poor people have dominos as their best option. I am so sorry to write that but it's true. This is a horrible rip off of an already horrible alternative (pizza $lut). What can u do when u just don't have options. Well here goes the review: Pizza: absolute crap Service: marginal line between crap and total crap Atmosphere: total bison crap (just fir Jamestown) Bottom line, enjoy the crappy pizza served by full of crap servers while enjoying the crappy atmosphere. You'ok see me at doninos for pizza while in this town
Another unit of the franchise. A bit smaller than the Fargo branch yelp.com/biz/pizza-ranch… One of the best places to eat in Jamestown which is a bit of a culinary desert.
To be honest, I go here for their chicken. I'm not a huge pizza eater. My girlfriend loves their pizza. I love the chicken, mashed potatoes, and corn. Also, they have some awesome garlic cheese bread. Check it out if you're in town. There aren't a lot of good places to eat in Jamestown but this is one of them.

In town for business. Went to check it out. Very busy for a Tuesday. Had a couple of cold beers and the 8 oz. New York strip with 3 fried shrimp. Very cheap eats. Great taste. Friendly staff. Don't expect a quick dinner, go in relax, and enjoy
We found a rv park by using the internet when we got close to this area. We found out there is a steak house right next to it so that sounded even better as we had nothing taken out for dinner. So we stopped in here for dinner and wow what a fantastic menu for this part of the country. We split a 20 ounce t-bone steak with all the fixings had a couple glasses of wine and our total bill was under $35. This is not a restaurant for yuppies it's kind of a divey joint but I enjoy these type of places. They are a few and far between anymore. We would definitely stop here and have dinner or lunch again.
As long as I've been old enough to legally consume, I've made this place a stop on my trips, settling in usually for a burger and a beer or two, watch a little tv, unwind and then back on the road again. It's bar food and a lot of the times I'd skip it in favor of another ice-cold longneck, but that old familiar flight of stairs and the smell and feel of what always seemed to me to be a real bar, were always moments of coolness and meant the trip was drawing to a close. Sure, it's nothing to look at and it's not very clean and has grimy elements to it, but dammit, that's what should be there. This place kicks serious ass, as a bar to sit and belly up and chill for a while and I hope it stays around forever...just in case I need it one of my future road trips.

The food was good when you got it. We both ordered burgers in the bar. Beer was cold. Service is slow and the kitchen is really slow. The server actually told us it's going to take a while for our food due to 2 new cooks in the kitchen, we had already been waiting about 15 minutes. Took about 45 minutes to get our food. I will go back and see if the service is any better.
Slow service at times. Found a chicken bone in my chicken pasta. But I continue to go because they are friendly and it's close to my hotel.
Where to start.... Since we were not from town we thought this place from the outside looked good. We pull ourselves up to the bar thinking the service would be fast... Not the case. It took 8 mins to get a beer and about 15 mins after that to get an order placed. We got the chicken wings as an app, the meat was still pink, then the salads came where the lettuce looked like it came out of a compost pile, all wilted and soggy. All I could think about is how bad my $16 steak was going to be. Sure enough it was overcooked and definitely not fresh meat as it tasted like it was frozen. I don't know how they stay in business with bad food quality and crapy service!

You won't believe this, but they actually give you FREE CHIPS! HOW COOL IS THAT?? They're veggie-friendly, too -- they don't make you eat any of their plentiful chicken or beef options. But -- this is the best part -- they have 20 margarita flavors! And you can order them without alcohol (virgin to the layman)! If you're wondering what those flavors are so you can prepare yourself for your next visit, then it's you're lucky day! Here we gooooo: strawberry banana kiwi banana kiwi wild berry banana pina colada electric blue raspberry strawberry grape peach orange mango banana mango strawberry kiwi turbo tangerine pulsar pink cherry orange cream watermelon lemonaide raspberry melon
I honestly wish I could give this place zero stars. We stopped here while traveling through hoping for a decent bite to eat. Boy was I wrong. The food took over 35 minutes and our server walked past our table multiple times without the least bit of urgency on her face. After the 3rd time of just strolling by I decided to ask her if she could check on our food( all we ordered was two grilled shrimp salads, and the majority of tables around us were eating even though they had been seated after my husband and I). The salad consisted of 4 little shrimp and a whole lot of diced tomato and bad iceberg lettuce. Overall a really bad experience from the service to the food. You'd be better off spending your money at the McDonald's across the street.
Stopped in while traveling thru. Poor beer selections. Why 3 kinds of domestic light beers? No high top tables in the bar but not much variety on TVs anyway (um the Tour de France. Is going on) but the food really bad. My hubby & I split a steak fajitas The meat was not sizzling when they brought it out, obviously something prepackaged they just warmed up. There was raw & greasy grilled onions on the platter & two big chunks of red pepper. Also a small bowl of equally greasy rice. Stay away.

This place was a disappointment. Wait staff were all friendly enough, but the food was pretty mediocre. Being from Wisconsin, we decided to order the fried cheese curds as an appetizer. Gross. Tasted like something off the Sysco truck. Capret was pretty dirty around all the tables, too. Not somewhere we'd return.
Skip this place and goto buffalo rotisserie. The service at grizzlys sucks so bad. The food is pretty bad. I've been here twice and I should have known better the 2nd time.
HORRIBLE! We were passing through heading home to Minneapolis. The ice tea was weak, chicken and luke warmwild rice soup was thin and tasteless like they added water to make it last longer. My little girls chicken strips were originally so overcooked they were crunchy. The replacements were slightly less so, but still way over fried. It's like they have their grease way to hot. My son had the angel hair cheeze and bacon pasta... no sauce... pasta was micro-waved as the cheeze and pasta was dryly clumped together. My wife and I had the rotisserre chicken... once again they had over rotiserred it. It was dry and was way under seasoned. Absolutely terrible... there was NOTHING redeeming in that meal. Left feeling cheated. I'm originally from North Dakota so I have nothing against small town food except when its as absolutely as unacceptable as this. We will never go back. SUPER PASS that place!
