I am not the one to review well... anything really. That being said, I had a great experience at this location. I eat fast food a couple times a week and am pretty familiar with many of "fast food" businesses (who isn't?). This Arby's was a refreshing change to the normal experience. A very friendly order taker that seemed to genuinely enjoy his job, my food was ready in under 2 min, and the taste and freshness of my Angus sandwich was startlingly good. My only complaint was that the men's room needed mopping but it was literally right after the noon rush so it is more understandable. I will consider this Arby's more often as my lunch choice in the future.

Okay - so I've never actually been to this candy shop, but my boss is from the area, heads back at least twice yearly and brings those delicious "Chippers" back for me!! Yes, rippled potatoe chips, covered in chocolate...weird, yet YUMMY. He's also brought back their jalapenos covered in chocolate, though I doubt they're called "chippers" I will eventually find myself up NoDak on business or some such and I will for sure be stocking up on the "Chippers" and whatever other chocolate covered goodness they got going!! YUM!
Took my sister here, she is visiting from out of state and I thought it would be fun to try something new. The lady at the front was rude to us. I felt very disrespected by her attitude and that my business was not appreciated. I've heard great things about the shop and was very disappointed with my experience. I do not plan to return based on how they treat new costumers.
Unique candy shop near downtown Grand Forks. The outside doesn't necessarily scream "candy store" (and it's next to an adult store, which makes you wonder if you're at the right address, haha), but the inside is an explosion of pastels and chocolate! I tried an assortment of the Chippers, which weren't quite as exciting as I hoped, but the peanut butter was my favorite. Of the items I picked up, the spuds were my favorite. They also have a great souvenir gift - North Dakota Products, which includes different chocolates coating soy beans, sunflower seeds, and some Chippers. Another unique item I saw was a chocolate turtle "dish" filled with little turtle candies. They have -so many- things, including an array of sugar-free items. Things seemed a bit pricey to me, but still impressed by selection.

First time here. Awesome selection. I had the curry buff bowl, it's great! Restaurant is a little loud, but it's okay. Casual atmosphere.
I visited this location today and was promptly greeted as I approached the counter. The menu was straight forward and easy to read/understand. I opted to the Thai Hot Pot. This dish certainly didn't disappoint. There was plenty of chicken and pork to satisfy my appetite. The veggies were crisp and obviously fresh. When my food was dropped off the server noticed my sriracha and told my I had the option to ask for extra spice when I ordered, which I may or may not choose to do in the future. She also informed me when I cashed out that if I brought my receipt back in the the store within a certain time frame I could get $4 off my next $10 purchase. That was an unexpected bonus, but I'm glad she let me know. I will definitely be back for this dish, and I am debating whether or not to just order another one to take with me today. I would highly recommend this joint very family friendly. The employees looked clean and happy. I'll be back, for sure!
First, the food was good. I had the Japanese Pan noodles and added the marinated steak per the suggestion in the menu. I new that was extra, but it made my order go from about $6 to $9. After having the meal, I don't think I will add on again. There really wasn't that much steak in the meal to warrant a $3 increase. Other than that, the atmosphere was nice and the restaurant looks clean. I would come back here again.

Awesome food. I don't know why, but I love little dive breakfast joints and this is definitely a dive, but the food is unbeatable and the price is right. We feed a family of five, stuffed and with leftovers, for $35 here. The eggs are cooked perfectly. The bacon could be a little crispier. The hashbrowns are great and the cinnamon roll pancakes are phenomenal. The coffee is great too. No complaints. The waitress is not sugary sweet but she knows her stuff and she's quick.
"Darcy's Cafe" is a "Run-A-Way Bill" Favorite! Local folks sitting around a counter (or in a booth) telling tales and eating "Momma's Home-Cookin'" kinda food. Servers are not smiley & personable BUT they are extremely efficient! Small & comfortable with very fair prices ... "Run-A-Way Bill" was here! 08/28/15
Had a great breakfast and service here, looking forward to more meals when I can get in again! My last couple times there was a long line waiting for tables....outside the front!

Amazing food. I actually worked for this chain at one point so I can vouch for the care they put into their products. Chicken, Steak, and Beef are all marinated in store, and grilled/pan fried on the spot. There is a nice atmosphere in the store, and the location is prime. Really the best 'fast food' you can get.
I have to agree with all the other reviews...this place is pretty good! Service is fast, friendly and helpful. The burritos are as big as my head and made to order, stuffed with exactly what you choose to stuff 'em with. Pretty cool place...beats Toco Bell!
Go here about once a week. The food and service are both above average for grand forks. I find that while going during peak hours results in a wait, you get more fresh food as there is more turnover. I usually go with the chicken queso burrito or softshell tacos with chicken. Their cookies are surprisingly good too. If you are a student, present your ID and they will give you a free fountain soda.

I have eaten here three times now and have been very happy with every meal. I order sushi all the time and enjoy the variety, flavor, and quality of the sushi that they prepare. The service is also prompt and attentive. The restaurant is Asian-stylish and I think is now the best Asian restaurant in Grand Forks.
I walked here from my hotel and honestly I had 3 intentions in mind. An affordable Japanese restaurant, walking distance from the hotel and one that had a yelp offer ( free appetizer). I ventured out on the shopping strip (32nd street) and passed at least one Japanese restaurant. This was much larger and had the free appetizer ordeal. I ordered the Sashimi combo. For North Dakota I was shocked at how fresh the fish tasted. It was quite pleasant to see them use actual leaves as opposed to the typical plastic green fence to separate fish from the vegetables. It is a little pricey, but well worth it.
My wife and I eat there about every time we get to grand forks we always get the salmon its the most flavorful sauce and we love it

Holy Damn! If I was a religious man I would praise Jeebes for this coffee shop. After spending the first 33 years of my life in New Jersey, NYC, Boulder, and Portland (Oregon), I've been in Crookston Minnesota for the past two plus weeks. There's one coffee shop in town here, but it's filled with retarded people, bad books, and Folgers. Since there's nowhere else to hang out in the cesspool of racism, I decided to ride my bike 28 miles just for something resembling culture. I was not disappointed. The entire town of Crookston, I believe, has three bike racks, while just the surrounding quarter block near Urban Stampede has the same. I arrived at around 3:30 PM and it was busy enough to seem cool, but not so full that I felt awkward. The woman behind the counter was polite and friendly without being annoying, the coffee was cheap, dark, and came with a free refill, and I got a booth with my own personal lamp and four outlets. I hung out there for a couple hours without receiving the strange, crosseyed stares that I get in Crookston for being an outsider. I got a lot of work done (and by work I mean reading and writing) while being able to observe the interesting blend of people who came through the doors. Rain, sleet, hail, or snow I will be back at Urban Stampede as much as I possibly can before I finally manage to escape this strange section of the world.
Urban Stampede has the best mochas in town and their urban roast is to die for. If those two things don't do the job.. I can't help but come back for the atmosphere.
My boyfriend and I were looking for a quaint little coffee shop on our way from Devil's Lake, ND to Kansas City, MO. Based on other reviews from customers, we decided to try the Urban Stampede and absolutely loved it! Right away, we noticed the charm of the jars full of coffee beans, the quiet music, and the fixtures around the room. Since we were going for straight coffee, we skipped over the Specialty menu and headed for fresh brew. I tried the Rice Krispy Treat brew and fell in love. The smell alone would have been wonderful by itself but it was attached to a hearty and full coffee that completed the experience. The barista really took care of us and offered samples of the fresh brews. Our only regret was that we were just passing through and could not sit and enjoy the ambiance. In fact, on our way out of town, we were making plans to go to an NDSU football game and visit this AMAZING little gem in Grand Forks again!!

Love love this place. I left Grand Forks close to a year ago, but if I could, I'd go there, just to have those wings in those special sauces. Just thinking about them, is making me drool. Worth the money, worth the time.
Fun little place! Go early or you may not get in, especially on wing night. Great friendly staff who clearly enjoy their jobs. Cheap beer and food! Huge portions too, and the food is delicious. I never go to Grand Forks without going to this place. It feels like the best little hidden gem, you don't want to tell anyone about it because you want to keep it to yourself!
Went there for the first time last night. I'm from NH and the wings were great. It's a perfect place you never want to tell anyone about because it was such a good experience you don't want people to ruin it! Going back soon.

It is burger time Got a hankering for meat Bring on the mad cow (Originally started in Fargo, this local chain is where YOU should go when you are in the mood for a fast-food hamburger. Forget McDonalds, Burger King, or anything like that... Burger TIme makes a BETTER burger for a CHEAPER price. Yeah, it's certainly unhealthy. Yes, you'll get mad cow disease in 20 years. But hey, every now and again, you just need a burger. So indulge... YOU deserve it! Oh, and don't forget to try their milkshake... it is what a milkshake is SUPPOSED to be! Highly recommended.)
For a fast food joint, this is the place to go for delicious burgers, onion rings, fries and even shakes! My whole family enjoys Burger Time! For those of you from out of town, it's worth a try. Much better choice than McDonalds and Burger King!
Ah Burger Time, how I love thee. This is a great burger place, far superior to the burger chain fare you'll get. A burger is a simple creature, yet this little chain continues to churn out cheesy (or no cheese) perfection on a bun day after day. Costs are pretty good for what you are getting. Taste is superior to other offerings as well. You can use the drive through or opt for the walk up experience and enjoy a meal on the benches they've got around the location. Only drawback I can see is they close pretty early, so no late night snacking unfortunately. For some reason, my wife hates this place, so I don't get to indulge often (maybe she should write a review). But when I do go, it's a treat.

The Toasted Frog

The fried pickles OMG! The fried pickles - wicked crazy good! They are purely orgasmic. No, really! Nice spin on a traditional starter! The menu has something for everyone. A couple of us got the 16" Lavosh. I got the seafood one - lots of shrimp, scallops and crab, that's right crab! Totally off the charts. Paired it with a Fargo Woodchipper IPA (or two). Nice. The other Lavosh was the spinach and mushroom one. The spinach was fresh and the 'shrooms were rich, smokey, and earthy. Oh yeeesssss! Our service was just outstanding too. Loved it all. If you get here, you gotta do the Frog!
Went the first time and wanted a NY Strip (only one of two steak options) and was disappointed as it had grizzle in it, so much that I didn't eat a 1/4 of it. Waiter never asked if it was ok just "Are you finished?". So I went back and had the filet medium rare and it was outstanding! One of the best tasting steaks I've had in a long time. I hope the next visit is as good.
Was in town for a business trip and really enjoyed my meal and time at Toasted Frog. It is in an older building and not exceptionally large, I would say, cozy. You walk in and a small bar to the right with maybe 10 stools and then tables and booths throughout. I decided to sit at the bar as to not take up a table on a Saturday night. There were two bartenders on duty and both were quite friendly. They have a very nice drink menu with several of their own specialties highlighted. I cannot forget the name of the drink, was called "The Perfect" something, was bourbon, orange slice and most delicious. I started with the fried pickles, per everyone's previous reviews. They were really interesting, almost like a fried pickle egg roll as the pickles are not breaded, but however, in an egg roll like shell with havarti cheese and a sriracha dip. They were very good but the breading made them a bit heavy and is a dish better shared, which I did with other folks at the bar. I ordered the Prime Rib Melt-Shaved prime rib, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, gruyere cheese with fries. Very tasty and nice portion. Prime rib was fine, little to much cheese but bread tasty and good comfort food. Fries were terrific and food came out quickly. While waiting for my dinner, the bartender was making a Grasshopper and there was extra so he put about an inch in a glass for all 7-8 of us at the bar to try, which is always a cool thing to do. Was to full for desert but really enjoyed my meal overall. Couple of nitpicky things but overall, a really nice restaurant for a laid back meal, date etc. If I every come back to Grand Fork, I am sure I will be coming back!
