My family has been shopping at Hornbachers since I can remember and I was at one time employed there. They've always had a great selection for the most part. The only difference between now and ten years ago is the employees seem to be less trained then in the past. For instance: hamburger meat should not be bagged with drain cleaner even if you put the meat in an extra bag. They used to take care when bagging your groceries. Not do much anymore.

Great place, friendly people! Great meat counter, deli is great too! Their fried chicken, ham spread, and cakes are awesome.

I'm perhaps a bit biased - I've had friends working here late nights as stock boys and cashiers, so I've seen the back inner workings and the jokes and heard all the stories. That being said, this Hornbachers is well-established and underwent several renovations in the years, and is still well-kept and staffed by mostly either high schoolers or career grocery clerks/managers. One thing you have to appreciate, they promote mostly from within. Not sure why this is ranked as a restaurant, it's pretty much a grocery store. It does have a hot foods section - I've had pizza slices and more here, but it's a full regular grocery store. 24-7 the last time I checked.

This grocery store caters to the processed food lover. The produce section is small and the organic section is a joke. I only stop in here when I need something quick. Otherwise I prefer to shop at the store on 45th st and 40th ave. Much better options. If I had my choice...Whole Foods but as of right now Fargo does not have one.

Fargo is limited when it comes to grocery stores. Since the beginning of their renovation Hornbacher's has started to stock more variety. In comparison to Cash Wise and Family Fare, they are aesthetically pleasing and consistent. They also have very kind and professional employees. I've heard whispers that as an employer they could use some work; and I wish we had more competition in town. However I am glad they are an option.
