Good, and different, variety of sandwiches and soups. Better than Subway and they give back to the community by donating bread to a food bank and the Salvation Army.

To this day, and I travel a lot, this is my favorite sub/sandwich shop in the USA. I miss this place very much, and I have considered visiting Fargo, ND, just to have lunch here again. The prices are a bit higher, but the quality is better. The bread is amazing. I used to be a regular customer (I'd go multiple times/week) when I lived there. I wish they'd go national! I highly recommend it. They have creative sandwich names, and they even have pb&j. I usually ordered their veggie sub. They tear out the "guts" of the bread so there is more room for the filling, and they serve the guts on top of the sandwich. It was always fun to eat that squishy bread when I was finished with the sandwich. It always reminded me of when I was a kid and eating balled up soft bread. If you are passing through the area, pass on Subway, and give E&G a try instead!

A coworker stopped by Erbert and Gerbert's for to-go sandwiches and soup for our team. Convenient location for the southside of Fargo. I had the Flash sub and the chicken chili. Both were quite tasty. One of the better Italian subs that I have had. I would definitely eat their food again.

We were stopped for the night in Fargo, and just wanted something quick and simple that we could take back to the hotel for dinner. The clerk at the front desk recommended the sandwiches from Erbert & Gerbert's. The menu was interesting with fun names for all of the sandwiches. I found the prices to be a bit higher than I would have expected for the portion sizes: a little over $30 for sandwiches, chips, and cookies (no drinks) for 2 adults and 2 children. The sandwiches were pretty tasty. Not an abundance of meat or toppings on it, but the ratio of meat/toppings/condiments was appropriate for what was there. I would possibly return again to give them another try, if I find myself in Fargo craving a sandwich.

Hubby and I both got the combo which came with half a sandwich and a cup of soup. He got the Tullius (roast beef) with Fiery chili which was quite fiery! I got the Narmer (turkey with avocado) and chicken dumpling soup which was perfection! Great prices, great food, hood service, and the place was clean. Good lunch spot!

My favorite sub shop of all time. They offer different combos than the typical boring sub shops and their ingredients are top notch. They also deliver! I've never had a meal from them that hasn't been great.
