I seriously love this place. My girls discovered they love ribs. But the real reason I wanted to write about this place is the manager. He is super nice during the ordering process and then always checks on people during their meal to make sure the have what they need. We will be back.

This place does have good ribs, but I have been there 5 times now and ordered ribs and was told they didn't have any! That is just inexcusable and makes no sense at all. Also in the recent past I have been told they are out of coleslaw or waffle iron fries. I have walked in and had to wait for 10 - 15 minutes to be waited on when I was the only person in the store. Again no ribs at this establishment, pretty poor management I'd say and there is no way of getting my support back I wouldn't ever go back to this joke of a BBQ place because it seems that it is only a part time BBQ restaurant.

Bbq good. But, I travel a lot and this has to be the worst run Dickey's. They had two side dishes left to offer and not even baked beans!!! This was 2pm! Looking forward to dickeys iced tea....disappointed it was like water coming out of the spout. The two guys working there although polite, seemed like they could have cared less about the condition of the place. Sad...

My wife and I were driving downtown and I spotted a Dickey sign and told my wife we should go there and eat. I told here while working in Nashville for 6 months we ate at BBQ places at least 3 times per week and the food was absolutely delicious. We stopped at Dickeys in Fargo ND and I have to tell you it was a very poor experience. The guy waiting on us stood right in front of us and sneezed. Not sure how much of the food all around him got all his spray in it from his sneezing. Then you have the most ridiculous looking idiot preparing and dishing out our food. The idiot had his pants down hanging most of the way down his rear end. He is standing there scooping out our food onto our plates and his ass his hanging half way out staring us in the face. If that didn't ruin our appetite nothing will. When we left the punk with his ass hanging half way out of his pants was walking through the parking lot with a couple of his buddies. They looked like a gang of hoods ready to commit a crime. Well you can keep these idiots working for you because I will never enter this place again in my life. As much as We love BBQ food we will never go to Dickeys again. This experience totally ruined my perception of Dickeys. Our visit was Saturday May 23rd about 7:54 PM. Most of the 21.98 worth of food we ordered went into the garbage as your employee's sneezing all over the kitchen and the idiot with his pants half way down ruined our appetite. The 2 people at the table in front of ours were talking about the thug with his pants pulled down. the man said to the woman did you see the gug tugging at is underwear with his gloves on and then handling our food. I tell a lot of people good experiences and bad experiences. This will be one I defiantly tell people not to go to at all. Its too bad we had such a poor experience at Dickeys because we sure would have been regular customers if the dining would have been good. I highly recommend DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE Joe

Just went in & ordered food to go the guys in there were amazing. I asked the guy cutting meat if he had been cutting pork with the same knife because my husband is allergic to pork, the guy went to the back & got a clean knife & cutting board I will be going back great service great food.

Only one guy was working so we all had to wait. No one could clean tables. The door to the women's bathroom would hardly open and close. The food was tasty but the meat was not warm.

I have waited for YEARS for Dickeys to come to Fargo. I grew up in Dallas where the chain originated, and I have always loved it. I live an hour away from Fargo, so I don't get to Dickeys as often as I would like to. Decided that today was the day. I only had a big sandwich--sliced brisket with no onions or pickles (who would want to ruin good barbecue with those things?) It was absolutely delicious. Love their toasted buns. They have pots of sauce sitting out so you can have as much or as little as you want. (I went there the first week it opened, and really, the employees were obviously learning. The sandwich I got then had too much fat, so I complained and the next time I went, the meat was perfect. They have learned much since then. The employees were professional and knew their stuff.) Good job, Fargo Dickeys. I'll be back soon.

Note - I went here on their 3rd day open, so there were kinks in the chain. Service - Yikes, no one seemed to know what they were doing or what side dishes would compliment their entrees. The gentleman who cut my ribs cut some plastic wrap too and served it to me...plastic on the top! Ambiance - Stock imagery. Trying really hard to look like the store is 50 years old and from the South. Neither is accomplished. It is stuck at the tail end of a strip mall that is tough to access anyways, so that isn't helping. Food - Folks, this pains me to say, Yuck. I am a HUGE BBQ fan. I have been to the country's top BBQ places (Hello Smitty's in Lockhart, TX!) The sausage was dry and tasted freezer burnt. The ribs were very VERY fatty and so salty that I could not finish them. If you don't like salt, don't even give it a try. Everything has salt in it and LOTS of salt too. There is honestly no reason for me to ever go back. I was bummed that Fargo was finally getting a new BBQ place and this is what we were given... On a scale of "No, Thanks" to "I'll Have Thirds" - this joint doesn't even get a "Smells Good" Bummer...

The bbq chicken is the best thing I have ever tasted. Moist with a hickory smoked wood taste, I was in heaven. This place even has all the free ice cream you can eat:) A must try BBQ joint for all ages!!!

I love it! I've been there twice and I was very satisfied both times. The place is clean and the has a comfortable feel. I would classify it more as a lunch place than a supper place but is good either way. It actually kind of reminded me of "Ribfest" if you have ever been to that (except they don't have beer). My only negative is price. It is like 3 bucks for a pop, although it does come in a big, take-home cup. One other big positive is free ice cream! That is a BIG plus in my book!
