This was our second stay at the Inn on Main Street, and it was just as lovely the second time around. We took a last minute casual weekend trip to the area for our anniversary. With the last minute arrangements, I called the night before to see if there was a chance we could book the only remaining room for just one night. Typically there is a two night minimum, but Dan was very accommodating given the last minute notice and welcomed us anyway. We stayed in the Forest Room, one of the two rooms that allows small dogs, which allowed us to travel with our beloved miniature dachshund. If you take your dog, please do review the pet policy on the website, as it may not suit everyone, but it suited us just fine. The room was very comfortable and I have no complaints. Dan & Nancy are wonderful hosts. They truly enjoy getting to know their guests, and go out of their way to make your stay delightful. My wife has an allergy to dairy, and not only did Dan & Nancy adjust the meal to accommodate, they also managed to keep everything tasting delicious, dairy or not. This is not always an easy feat with breakfast. We'll definitely be back a third time. The Weaverville area is the perfect place to stay for us. It's a beautiful town in it's own right, but also close to Asheville and Hot Springs, two places we love to visit.

IF air-conditioning is an necessity this one is NOT for you. SCENARIO OF MY EXPERIENCE: 2 ladies traveling alone -- We were informed upon arrival that in the evening the air would be turned off and we would need to open the windows ... a fan was provided. This visit was in July for one of my niece's graduation. I won't go back there, nor will I recommend this to anyone. The (gentleman) inn keeper made a comment to us the 2nd day at breakfast that he was walking around outside the night before and seen we put the fan in the window. REALLY? what sort of comment is that to make, especially since we were alone, window open curtains pulled back. That just was a strange comment, not to mention it made me and my friend feel uneasy. When breakfast is served.... plan on it being shared with other guest. I didn't like that. I didn't pay for buffet style dining. This was my first experience at a Bed & Breakfast. :(

The Inn on Main was our first B&B experience and we weren't disappointed! The owners are very welcoming and can accommodate special diets (gluten-free, vegan) or trip requests, as well as offer discounted tickets to local attractions like Biltmore and the natural Hot Springs. Dan and Nancy gave us lots of tips on visiting Asheville, which is a convenient 10 minute drive on 1-26, and even loaned us their personal towels for the spa! The house is a beautiful Victorian with a cozy antique-décor and although we stayed in the cheapest room (the Monroe) and didn't have the fireplace or whirlpool tub upgrades, the space was still very comfortable and well decorated. I appreciated the TV/VCR, hair dryer, fan, extra blankets and pillows in our room and we got a great night's sleep after eating some of Nancy's homemade cookies. Breakfast is from 8:00-9:30am and while we were there Dan made his famous open faced frittatas and apple French toast. Both were paired with fruit and fresh baked muffins and everything is organic, locally produced, and delicious. We never made it to the evening appetizers but free drinks in the fridge and free advice all day long made for a great stay at this little Weaverville gem (the town wasn't bad either!) The Inn on Main is the most affordable and charming B&B near Asheville and we'll definitely be back.

The Inn on Main Street in Weaverville, N.C. is a highly recommended destination for for anyone looking for a relaxing and romatic weekend or vacation in western North Carolina. The Inn on Main Street offers guests comfortable and quaint rooms; bountiful and delicious breakfasts; complimentary wine, beer and snacks in the late afternoon; the comfort of a peaceful and quiet living room to read and enjoy the 100 year old Victorian home; the close vicinity to downtown Asheville and walking distance to the Weaverville which has interesting shops and an assortment of good restaurants; and many other amenities. Most of all, the Inn on Main Street has two of the nicest innkeepers and hosts - Nancy and Dan - who make you feel at home and will cater, if possible to your every request and need. Dan makes wonderful muffins for breakfast every day while Nancy makes sure that you are served like a King or Queen. Dan and Nancy are truly charming hosts that make your visit special every time. We keep coming back to the Inn on Main Street each year because it is an enchanting B&B and its hosts treat you more like family than just guests. Anytime of time of year is a good time to visit the Inn as each season brings with it a different feel and perspective. One year we enjoyed the abundance of snow and winter activiies in the surrounding areas. Another year for a summer vacation we went white water rafting and drove in the lucious and verdant Smokey Mountains. The Inn is in close promxity to virtually anything you may want to do in western North Carolina.

We stay at the Inn on Main every time we visit my family. Dan and Nancy are very friendly, and cook great breakfast. We've stayed there for as long as a week and had something different and delicious every day. Loved the eggs with fresh herbs from the garden. Also love the baked apples and french toast dish. The inn is very quiet and a few of the rooms have mountain views. When the weather is warm guests can have breakfast on the porch with views of the mountains and garden. They always have fresh cookies in the house and free drinks for guests. Every day they have a wine and cheese hour. We stayed there when my husband proposed to me and they left a bottle of bubbly on ice in our room with a chocolate and card congratulating us. Oh, and it's very convenient to I-26 and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Delightful, wonderful, amazing and every other descriptive synonym. We already love Weaverville, NC and now this has given us even more reason to love it. Dan and Nancy are just a delight and so accommodating. The homemade breakfasts are like none other and a true 5-star treatment. We would recommend this B&B to anyone!
