We were referred here by the innkeeper where we are staying in Cashiers. I read the reviews and was skeptical, but went because he highly recommended it. We were not disappointed. The crab bisque was amazing with tons of crab. The salad bar was small but everything was high quality. Hubby had the fish and chips and it was the best I have had. I had the Mica burger and it was huge and very yummy. The back deck has a huge fire pit and live music. Oh and the summer sangria was delish!

Food was better than expected. However, the atmosphere felt old and we felt ignored as if our business was not a priority. We were not greeted as we entered as there was no one at the desk. When the woman appeared several minutes later we were still not acknowledged as the woman began speaking with someone who was already waiting. When we were seated no one came to our table. After about 5 minutes a server came over and said she noticed our frustration and she would take our order even though she wasn't our server. We appreciated that but it made us feel like we should be grateful for her 'taking us on'. Rather than stating how busy you are and that you're not supposed to be our server- when you see a need just take care of it. To me, that is just good customer service. We didn't encounter one employee who seemed to enjoy being there and the whole atmosphere was dark and dreary. We ate, left a nice tip, were not acknowledged on our way out, and will not be back again.

Packed on Labor Day weekend 2014, but good service and good food. We will return again.

This place was wonderful!! We can't say enough about this place. We had the best service, our server Shannon, was wonderful. He was there when ever we needed anything and he went above and beyond what we expected. We are family with two 14 year old girls and a 10 1/2 month old, after reading some reviews we were worried. They definitely didn't have Shannon as their server because he was great with our 10 1/2 month old. The food was delicious; from the appetizers (the crab jalapeno poppers were awesome) to all of our entrees; the filet, rib eye, rainbow trout, and chicken piccata.
