Consistently great food from the deli at a reasonable price, nice selection of drinks and other items in the store. Last visit my husband and I shared the "Hummus Among Us" wrap that was so delicious and just perfect for lunch. Added a $2.95 peanut butter bar with chocolate - yum! Definitely a Missoula staple for a reason.

We loved this place! So jealous of my friend who lives in downtown Missoula because he has this place as his corner market. They seem to have everything one could possibly want, including tons of craft beer options and interesting tasty food from the humble to the gourmet. I think I also glimpsed a nice wine selection, but I was focused on beer so didn't venture to that corner of the store. We appreciated their impressive selection of Kettle Chips and got excellent, generously sized, and freshly made Cuban sandwiches from the deli. They had a wide variety of tasty-sounding sandwiches and soups to choose from, making our food decisions rather difficult. The staff there seemed awesome, too. Everyone with whom we interacted was friendly and seemed happy to help. If I lived nearby in Missoula, I think I'd be stopping in here just about every day.

Needed deli sandwiches quick to rescue a person moving. Found this via Yelp. Had the Worden Whoppa. Wow! Great sauce fresh roll. Also the Club Combo. Also good. A wide selection. Staff ready to customize. Owner of 37+ years there working the till and offering friendly greetings. Thanks Yelp for helping us find the exact place and thanks Worden's for the right food. Will go back.

Eclectic market with beer and wine. Deli items are international, local, and homemade. Worden's market has been here forever and they are well-known for their yummy clam chowder. They have great lunches to-go. Not anywhere to eat-in it seems.....it's a fun place to go, look around and try something new....

Used to have great sandwiches. Now you're lucky if you can get them made. Showed up at 405 all their stuff was still out but told me they stop at 4. 2 days later I show up at 350 same thing. They tell me the closed early... well wtf. Next day 345. Guess what... ya no sandwich we closed early again. Enfuriating. As far as their beer and whine. You can get the same for cheaper. Liquid planet is literally 2 blocks away with a larger selection. My 2 cents. If you ONLY draw is you deli. The stop closing early.

Great fatty sandwiches, good beer selection, and they also have a fantastic selection of candy and confections. They carry Haribo GOLD gummy bears, which are awesome but hard to find, and European chocolate and cookies. The prices on some items can be on the high side of the scale, but the deli items are pretty fair. I've always had good service here, and sure there are some homeless people that come in, but hey - this is Missoula. You can't go anywhere in this town where there aren't any.

Cutest little store/deli. I love popping in here for lunch or even just for a quick soda. It has that small town feel. Everyone is friendly and the food is pretty darn good also

Downtown, and easy parking. Killer deli, as well as beer and wine selection. Did I mention the chocolate and jellybeans? Found someone chilling out working on her Wi-Fi. Pleasant people behind the counter. A little gem on kind of a bland corner of downtown.

When the absentee owner once again signed on to profile and make pejorative comments about homeless people (his extra spending money for decades) I renewed my decade-long boycott. He'll spend five figures for a pretentious piece of art for the "wine grotto" under the ersatz deli, but seemingly pays minimum wage to whomever does (or does not) clean the floors upstairs.. A hypocritical Missoula embarrassment.

These sandwhiches are delicious! I'm so bummed they took the cornucopia sandwhich off the menu though :( still great quality food with friendly people working there. The selection for snacks and drinks is quite impressive and is large enough for you to wander around to look at everything while your food is being made.

This store has a great Downtown vibe. It also has a great selection of beer and wine. the soda is like anywhere else with a few others thrown in and very over-priced. the Deli is good, and i enjoy it a lot, but again...very over-priced. Still, i make sure to grab a Woppa' about once every month or two.

Plenty of craft beers, foreign and domestic, regional and local. Probably 150 bottles in all (not counting the macro-industrial lagers). Several dozen wines (at least). They seem to have packaged food as well as offering food service, but that's not why I was here. It seems to be one of those convenience stores that's grown to be a specialty market through the years, and beer and wine appear to be part of that success. They attract all kinds of customers from around town, but judging by the staff and some of their friends, it kinda seems like ski bums might be a big part of the demographic. Some of the beers are out at room temperature, but most are in coolers. They have quite a few noteworthy european beers, as well as lots of coastal craft beers and tons of stuff from the PNW, especially MT. Awesome prices. No sales tax. Beer nerds, this is your Missoula bottle shop.

An institution known for party catering, keg beer, booze and a full deli. Order sandwiches on a wide variety of breads and from lots of fixings. Salads, dolmates, spinich pastries, lots of unique stuff that changes regularly. You can eat at a few tables with high chairs...but not the ones with trays or take out. Lots of other snack stuff is available to include candies. They have a line on a indoor facility you can rent just next door. The Montana Scotch Whisky Society has had functions there so I assume it is rentable to others. (Ummm...maybe I should not give that info away?) Nice people all around. Do lunch sometime.

The place to go if you have a sandwich craving in Zootown. Their menu is simply superb and exceptionally well-priced. You'll always get good service and great prices. And they stock so many (especially imported) snacks that whatever you want (candy, crisps, l'exotique boissons), you'll find. Try their spinach pastries (made in-house), "Blue Moo" sandwich, or a 'French dip' served with any meat or cheese you'd like! Their wine and spirits selection is worth an honorable mention--but be prepared to part with more than a little of your hard-earned paycheck. And avoid their espresso bar--if they haven't already gotten rid of it.

I'm giving Worden's 5 stars for customer service. I went in to Worden's last week to purchase some tickets for an upcoming show. I had not been to Worden's in a long time. While I waited for the clock to turn 10am so I could get my tickets, I decided to get a breakfast burrito. Super friendly guy behind the counter. The cook who made me a delicious veggie burrito was also very accommodating and friendly.

Worden's was great! They has a huge selection of deli meats that they produce themselves, great sandwiches and pretty good chili. Along with that they operate as a general store selling odds and ends along with their usual fair. Great service from the workers, great food, and a casual environment. If I'm ever in that neck of the woods, I'll definitely be back.

We were told by a local that this was one of the best places in town for a quick lunch, sandwich, etc, and that it was reasonably priced with a good cross section of the local population. She was right! Excellent deli sandwiches, cold drinks, other food offerings, a small gourmet food area and wine/beer/etc. Grabbed a sandwich to go. There are seating areas inside for those wishing to eat in, and everyone was nice.

This is one of those delis that you can't pass up -- even if you're just driving through town, you need to plan to pull off the freeway and stop here to buy a sandwich for later or to pick up a couple of bottles of wine. The deli counter here is the main attraction. The bread is delicious and the sandwiches are great! Also a great place to get your espresso and to buy some new kind of beer you've never heard of. Super friendly staff who are eager to help you decide or to educate you on their high quality products. It's a 1 minute detour off of I-90 -- you MUST stop and check this out.

Are you serious? The same sandwiches for 25 years and they were below average 25 years ago. No one working there wants to be there and it shows by the service. IT'S A CONVENIENCE STORE!! I went in at 8:00 pm and grabbed a sandwich. Took it to the register AND $8.75!! Didn't realize until I looked later at my card receipt. Terrible sandwich, should have been about half the price and marked down 75% hours later. YICK!! The clerk didn't say anything to me or look at me. THIS IS NOT CANTERS DELI. Why would I want to pay New York prices? I didn't like paying them in NYC. OOOooooooh, they have beer and wine. So what! There's about a million Subway's and only one Wordens and I think I just explained why.

I am a big fan of Worden's. Great sandwiches (I was surprised that some of the reviews said they were terrible). The people that work there seemed nice, and the taller bald gentleman working behind the register was super nice. Their wine and beer selection is top notch as well. If you join their wine club you get 15% off all your wine purchases. The ambience is laid back and comfy. I will be back again. The only reason why I did not give Worden's a 5 star review is the bread I had on my sandwich was just a little stale.

Delightful deli to have a sandwich. We had the Ruben, Veggie Whoppa, and a build your own. Bread was great, sauces wonderful. Cute little store in addition to deli. Will definitely stop in again when passing through Missoula, Montana.

Worden's Market is a really cool place...They have a wonderful selection of wine and beer. Their deli is great, they have a lot of options...sandwiches, soups and salads. It's like a small little grocery store with great customer service. They people are friendly and will help you if you have any questions. I really like the high-top tables they have there, where you can sit and relax and eat your food and read the newspaper. Check it out when you are in town, I try to go here with my family or friends...good memories.

Hooray for the store that's fueled at least three generations of under-age keggers, and many of my own blurred, teenage, drunken nights! Seriously! Let's not deny the facts here- there are many places to obtain alcohol from, and just as many hard-up alcoholics who will buy it for individuals who are under-age. But for some reason, all parties seem to gravitate toward and take orbit around Worden's Market. It could be the rich history of the store, it could be its location, or it could even be their prices. Whatever the rationale, every weekend massive quantities of alcohol is moved out and transported to remote clandestine locations, where it is consumed (and often vomited back up). On record they'll never publicly support underage drinking, even pointing how they've taken vast steps in trying to halt the sale of beer and wine to minors. But deep down, in the back of the store where the money is counted, they know where their cash is coming from. There are basically three EZ steps for the adolescent drinker to buy hooch that are guaranteed to work and that I could list here... but I'm not going to. Part of the fun of obtaining brewski, is learning just how to do just that. It's part of the ritual. All that being said, there are actually legitimate reasons why someone over the legal drinking age should stop in: good sandwiches, a huge selection of exotic beers from around the world, a very friendly staff, an impressive collection of wine, it's a historic landmark, they have a wide selection of cigars, etc., etc., etc... Ah, who am I trying to kid? It's all about the beer. Beer is their business, and business is good, no matter what your age!

I hate to write a bad review (and not sure how yelp steered me wrong on this one) -- but perhaps its just because this type of place is not for me. I can see that for certain types of people there may be a comfort appeal if you go to this place day in and day out. I was expecting a hole-in-the-wall, hidden gem -- however, I ended up feeling out of place and couldn't wait to leave. I ordered a reuben sandwich from the deli, pretty pricey for what I received. I'm a huge fan of these sandwiches; however, they had a spin-off of the thousand island dressing with some chunky pieces (I couldn't recognize what) in it. Didn't like this one bit. I would rate the quality of the bread, cheese, and meat very poor as they tasted processed. The customers that I saw walk in and out for half an hour appeared to mostly be homeless/vagrants+. I hear that business people stop in for lunch time but I went in around 2pm and didn't see anyone dressed as such. The store is partitioned with liquor and alcohol on one side with the deli and typical gas station type of items on the other side. The cash register is situated in the center of the store. 1 star because the people were somewhat friendly and didn't stare too long at me for being completely out of place.

Just puttin' a big shout out to Alan (big Al) behind the counter at Worden's and host of Grotto Bella wine tasting. Alan is one of the most patient people I've ever met. He can give you great wine suggestions based on the meal of the night, steer you to fabulous alternative wines to that same ol' thang, and teach you much about oenology.
