Went here for lunch yesterday, they didn't ask a question about my service dog which always makes me happy. But not only that the food was absolutely amazing, but the service was fast and the price was great I had the pollo mole and its was exsquiste. One of the best Mexican restaurants in Missoula if not the best!

If you are looking for a bang-for -your buck Mexican restaurant, this is your place. Walked in and order, sat immediately and had our food on our table in under 7 mins. Boom. Food was good enough for a repeat, simple and straight forwards. Their shredded chick was pretty good, steak wasn't bad and I didn't try the ground beef. I would definitely call this "Americanized" mexican food. If you want something more authentic, try out Viva Mexico. -A

Was looking forward to trying Mexican food here in Missoula. Husband and I moved here from Los Angeles so we know what good Mexican food is. Our expectations were not very high as we knew this place wasn't "authentic" Mexican. However, we were looking forward to some decent food. Gave 2 stars because service was good but food was poor. I ordered a taco combo plate and taco shells were obviously store bought. They broke into pieces. Never thought I would have to eat a taco with a fork before. Husband ordered fish tacos. He could not even eat them. First of all, menu said "fried fish" and what little fish was in the taco was not fried. Very disappointed and will not be coming back.

It's a nice spot to grab Mexican food. The wait staff is always on top of things - they take your order right away, and the food always comes out very fast.

I'd give three and a half stars if I could. My wife and I stayed in Missoula while on a motorcycle trip and wanted somewhere nearby our hotel to eat. We thought we'd give Fiesta En Jalisco a shot since we'd been wandering around the neighborhood already. It was 9:30 on a Monday night and the place was empty. However, we were still greeted warmly and promptly. Our food was served quickly. The place was clean and in good repair. My wife ordered a taco salad (a staple for her) and I had the chili colorado (which I order almost everywhere that serves it, like Johnny Depp does with carnitas in Once Upon a Time in Mexico, except I don't shoot the cook if it's too good). Portions were monstrous. No really, the plate I was presented could easily have been a hubcap from a Buick. The food was really just average, however. Rice was a bit bland, beans a bit pasty, but they'd probably been simmering in their pans for hours. The chili colorado was a bit more red chili powder flavor, lacking the infusion of bay leaf to which I'm accustomed. Not bad, though the meat was a little dry. Honestly, the place wasn't bad, and the staff was friendly. I'd like to try it again during a busier time when perhaps the rice and beans are fresher.

Haven't eaten here in a few years, but happened to be in Missoula today and stopped for lunch. Best enchiladas I've had In a long time. Guacamole was also outstanding. Just wish this place wasn't almost 200 miles from where we live.

We are new to Missoula and were hungry so we decided to stop in. I'm glad we did. The chips and salsa were delicious. I ordered the Verde Burrito and my wife ordered the Vegetarian Burrito. We were both pleased. The food was tasty, the platter size was generous, and the prices were decent. If you haven't eaten here before, give them a try. I know I'll be back!

Me and a business associate of mine stopped in on a Wednesday for lunch with the intention of us both ordering chile verde before even being presented a menu. The service was great, pleasantly prompt for being quite full, and the locations decor and condition very welcoming. Arizona and California residents respectively we had high hopes and expectations and we're not disappointed. We asked that both plates be made extra spicy and they were with out sacrificing any of the rich flavor of the green chile. Priced right for huge portions this place is a must stop for authentic Mexican food in Missoula. Prior to departing my colleague also stated he rated our experience 5 stars. Both in traveling positions we dine out close to 5 times weekly and could only wish each time was as satisfactory as today.

So disappointing! We stopped off on the way home to Sandpoint and came here based on Yelp reviews. Food was bland and no where near authentic. We ordered beef taco and beef chimichanga. Beef was not shredded... I think it was pink slime from nearby Taco Bell. They don't have a full bar so offered to make my margarita with wine. I passed (who knows, maybe it was delightful???). My son even complained about his grilled cheese. Only redeeming quality was server who offered to remake food or give us a dessert when we asked about the meat. We passed on a remake and should have passed on dessert.

3 chicken enchiladas is my favorite dish here. Get extra sauce. I like this place because it is affordable, fast and I have not been disappointed yet.

Fiesta En Jalisco has expanded into multiple Missoula locations (and one in Polson) since it first opened several years ago. The owner is of Mexican descent and I believe most of the servers are as well. I have never had any complaints about the food here, and the chips and salsa keep coming. I don't know exactly how one declares Mexican food in Montana to be "authentic" but the "authentic" Mexican food I ate in Mexico was nowhere near as good nor as healthy as Fiesta En Jalisco. I had originally scored this eatery with 3 stars but that was not very fair. My review was better than that, 4 stars now.

YUCK! There was MELTED PLASTIC INSIDE of my FOOD! I'll explain... Being from Southern California, I have had my fair share of Mexican food growing up. Needless to say, the "Mexican Food" in Montana isn't the best. SO when I heard about Fiesta en Jalisco I was thrilled to try it in hopes that it would taste as authentic as it did in the south. Such a disappointment! Pros: Quick service, clean, good tortilla chips and guacamole. Cons: Music as a bit too loud, be prepared to wait 20 mins to pay your bill, salsa tastes like tomato paste, Chile Relleno was stale, and oh yeah... THERE WAS A CHUNK OF PLASTIC IN MY ENCHILADA! FAIL!

Basic tex-mex but great flavor and probably the best mexican in Missoula. Good salsa, fresh warm chips, and good/polite service. Reasonable flavor. They actually use fresh guac and give out sides of cilantro upon request.

When I went to Fiesta En Jalisco I was just coming back from Snowbowl and I was really hungry and we had never been there before so I went with my mom. As soon as we got there we weren't to sure if they were good or not because there was no one there but I was wrong to judge the restaurant for that. After a while I ordered their chimichanga and in about 15 minutes they came out with a beautifully presented chimichanga. It was one of the best Mexican dishes I had ever had and let me say to all of you, " you have to try this place, whatever you have you will be pleased.

Great food and the only reason behind the three star rating is that I've only experienced their lunch menu. I've been many times and I have friends that swear by this place. Excellent food and reasonable prices (lunches are no more than 6 or 7 bucks), make this a place you've gotta try. Enchiladas and Colorado burrito are two of my faves...in case you're wondering.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
