So the owner of Dickys BBQ Pit here in Missoula has changed the Military discount that we got from 50% to 15%. Because he feels that we do not rate that or that we deserve it. Just wow, wow nothing else to say about that.

The new owner at the new location wouldn't take my gift cards. We paid $25 for the gift cards. They gave some rubbish excuse that the Missoulian sold too many gift cards. Dickies collected the money, then wouldn't honor the gift card. I still ordered food there, but the food has gone downhill compared to the former downtown location.

The food was great. The pulled pork and pork ribs are tasty. I like being able to pick my bbq sauce and apply as much as I want. We had the Okra which I really liked. The potato casserole was just alright The service was outstanding. Justin was very friendly and helpful to us newbies. He was very professional and pleasant. I know I will be coming back to Dickey's BBQ pit for my next "unbearable barbecue craving." Free ice cream is always a plus but I hope they will upgrade tbe ice cream to a rich creamy ice cream The music was good too.

Their new location is dirty and grungy. Parking was very poor. Service was halfhearted at best. Food was poor to average, some of our meat was not hot. Won't bother going back.

Are family when to dickey's and we had best BBQ ever , almost as good as famous Dave it just a hidden treasure that everyone miss I ll be again in the future

Got to go from here tonight and it was good. Spent less than $20 not including tip for a 2 meat platter and Tues special. Not bad in my opinion. Didn't care for the brisket BUT I feel it was the cut not the cook that was the problem. Loved the pulled pork, it was very moist just like back home. Tried some of my daughters ribs and they were very good. They messed up our order and we had to turn around since my daughter wanted her waffle fries. HOWEVER, they fixed it and apologized even offering free drinks for having to wait. Shit happens, people mess up and you move on. I may not come here often simply because the food is pretty rich for someone that loves salads more than anything. But I will be back. It was quick and quite good. The staff is very nice and quick. So don't discount this place simply because they don't offer a military discount like one person said. Personally I think less of a reviewer that feels entitled to something because of an organization they belong to.

Good bbq! I'm quite partial to it for a quick meal. I was scared after my experience in Billings but these guys have there stuff down. Skip famous daves and try the brisket!

service is good. Food is above average. Free ice cream. they use to be downtown and other than lunchtime no one was coming in. had to move because DT is dying a slow miserable death (other than the bars obviously). I wouldn't call this a restaurant more like sit and eat quickly. It's alright once every few months maybe I'll get it.

I just left this so called bbq pit, its 4pm on a Thursday and they had no ribs! Not only that, but for two small brisket sandwiches, two sides, and two drinks it was $22. The only reason I came in was for ribs! This usually doesn't get me going but this is the second time I have attempted to eat here and the last time I will give them a dollar. Lady behind the register is clearly scamming money off of people, she had rang me up for two specials and then charged me twice for the sides, obviously she had been doing it all day as there was wads of fives in her tip jar... Somebody needs to look into the books!!! For the money spent I could have gone to Famous Dave's and been waited on, also they would have had ribs!
