This is my third time at Land of Magic in three years (I go once every summer when I vacation in MT) and I have to say that this is my best visit yet and the bar was set very high from the last two visits. The service was great as always and I love the local feel at this place. I noticed that they no longer do a bone in ribeye and now only do boneless ribeyes. I was a little sad about this at first but that wore off as soon as I got my dinner! The cowboy cut ribeye cooked Medium rare was phenomenal! The temperature was perfect, it was tender and not too fatty and had just the right amount seasoning. Every time I take a bite of ribeye, I nearly shed a tear of joy. I think this was also the best twice baked potato I have had out of all of my visits, it was more moist than the past potatoes had been as that had always been my only gripe about the meal! Keep it up Land of Magic and I can't wait until my next visit!

On our trip to Glacier NP from Yellowstone and found this restaurant on Google Maps. Great food with excellent price. Nice waitress! Five stars!

We came here for a birthday celebration. It wasn't very busy when we got there but it seemed to pick up later. We had a newer waitress so she started off a little slow but really got her stride as the dinner went on- and she had a great attitude. There was a mix up when ordering as she stated the lobster was the special for $27 but after we ordered 3, she came back and stated they were actually $59. We ended up cancelling the order but they were okay with that. We all ended up getting steaks. The cost seems pricey at first, especially for a small town but then you realize the cost is great when you see all of the food you get. With the steak, you start out with big loaves of bread, a salad or shrimp cocktail then the meal. The shrimp cocktail isn't your usual 4-6 shrimp but a mounded BOWL of shrimp (small sized) topped with sauce. I think we each got 50 shrimp- we couldn't finish them! The steaks came and were perfectly cooked and seasoned. These are the kind of steaks you don't need steak sauce with. You also get a choice of potato with it and the baked potatoes were huge! I was told the twice backed was excellent a well. Needless to say, most of us couldn't finish all of our food and left with several doggie bags! So good, I'd come back again.

As someone who regularly eats at the Oasis, I've been told for over a year now that the Land of Magic is better but it took me this long to actually go there and try it. I like it so much that I went there two nights in a row! The first night, I had the cowgirl cut ribeye, which was absolutely delicious. Along with the bread & vegetable tray, they give you the option of green salad or shrimp cocktail. I chose the shrimp cocktail the first night and on the second night, a petite filet mignon & green salad. Everything was just fabulous and the filet mignon was so tender I could have cut it with a spoon. Both nights I had the twice baked potato, which is delightful. This place is MUCH cleaner than the Oasis and the food is quite a bit better. The service is prompt and friendly and the atmosphere is less cluttered. Prices are about the same at both restaurants. The Land of Magic restaurant is now my FAVORITE steakhouse in Montana! I live only two blocks from the Oasis, but will be heading out to Land of Magic from now on when I'm in the mood for steak. Reservations are highly recommended as this place is busy. Next time, I'll plan it for a night they're serving the prime rib. It's a limited schedule, and I *think* it's served from Thursday to Sunday, but I'm not sure about that.

There's a lot of focus on the steakhouse down the road, but Land of Magic is every bit as good, and in some respects better, at least in the areas that count. LoM doesn't try to be anything more than what it is ... a small town and family-oriented restaurant that doesn't take itself too seriously. It's old-school. On a back road in a rustic-looking building, Land of Magic Dinner Club has the standard wood paneling, indoor/outdoor carpet, and friendly service expected in a small town. All meals come with a relish tray appetizer (a place that actually still does that) and warm bread. There's even a small dessert, ice cream, to top things off, if you can still eat, that is. The steaks are cooked as ordered, it is their specialty after all; but the walleye steak is also good. The sides are basic, and nothing spectacular, obviously meant to accompany, not overtake, the main course. This is a no-frills place with the focus on beef, so as long as you're good with that, Land of Magic will not disappoint.

Last night we stopped into the Land of Magic Dinner Club after a bike ride and hike to have dinner. The dinner left me hungry and with a really bad taste in my mouth for this place. We had a wonderful server, but meal was pretty awful. The burger, ordered medium rare, came out like a hockey puck, beyond well done with a cold thick piece of cheese. The manger would not comp the meal when I sent it back. In fact, the manger insisted on charging me $3 for the child's portion of fries. The server was so embarrassed about her manager charging for the fries, that she offered to pay for the fries herself. We felt so bad for her. The manager needs a lesson in customer service.

Perfect filet, the top sirloin is top shelf, the prime rib is primo but I have to agree with a few of the other reviews that the ribeye (my favorite cut of meat) whether or not it's the cowboy or the cowgirl cut has way too much fat and gristle on it for $39-$34. With that being said don't let that stop you from enjoying the best tasting steak in Montana, period.

What can I say my husband and I love this place, it's our favorite date night. It's close to our property and the food is always great. The service is usually good. I've never had a better filet than here. My husband always loves the food although his one and only complaint was the prime rib. It's a ton of food for the price of your dinner. Such a great local Montana place!

I REALLY wanted to like this place. I really, really did. Unfortunately, "like" is not a word I would use to describe the food and service. Our waitress did not crack a smile. The food was horrible, really pedestrian stuff. I am not really sure what Sunset Magazine saw here but...they were not exhibiting it the day I went.

If you're in the mood for a real steak "supper club" experience - right down to the crudities & mini ice cream sundae - this is the place! Definitely better than Sir Scott's Oasis! Everything is really excellent - even the tiny salad "shrimp appetizer" which are served over a bed of chopped celery & a glob of (really good) cocktail sauce. Not fancy, but good. Homemade loaf of bread. Homemade excellent dressing for the crudities & salads (very "cowboy" - mostly iceberg lettuce). Amazing steaks!! - Remind me of the famous steaks they serve in Florence, Italy!

Fantastic dinner of ribeye steak, grilled prime rib, dark&tan onion rings, baked potato and a few tiddlies. Great service, rustic surroundings and nice bar. If you are traveling between Bozeman and Butte Montana, make the stop. Logan, Montana off-ramp from the 90.

Yes, please. If you are living in Montana, you have no excuse but to go here. If you are passing through Montana, you owe to yourself. Best. Ever. And a great atmosphere to boot.

Great steak house. Everything from the bread, veggies, steak, and ice cream were great. My husband got the filet mignon and I got the rib eye. The meat was very flavorful and good. The steaks here are are much better than the Oasis. In addition, the place is a little nicer inside too.

Very tasty steaks and prime rib. My daughter had the kids flank steak and loved it as well. We had reservations and our table was all setup with veggies and ready to go. Service was decent although refills were a little slow. Steak was cooked perfectly. Love that for ranch dressing they use the freshly mixed Hidden Valley Ranch (or something very close) on salads. We do prefer this place over the Oasis and make an effort to visit every time we come to Bozeman on business. Biggest disappointment was they don't take American Express which is our company standard.

Best steakhouse in Montana! Beats Sir Scott's. They serve amazingly big plates of food for very reasonable prices and have a good beer selection. I usually get the cowgirl ribeye with baked potato and shrimp cocktail. I believe those are the better side choices. Overall- YUM! Bring a wheel barrow, you'll need it to get out the door.

The locals in Three Forks all seem to agree that Land of Magic is some of the best steak that you can get in the area. We've been there twice (once in 2007 and once in 2008). I've never tested steak that was so tender and tasty in my entire life (granted, I'm not from Montana). Some of the locals recommended asking the waiter to skip the special spices that they put on steak. If you just want to taste what real steak should taste like, the spices tend to hide some of the natural great flavor. This is one of the must-eats in the Three Forks-Bozeman area.

Love, love, love the steak sandwich, I've been there three times in the last three weeks. This is a family run restaurant and this family knows how it's done. Be sure to make a reservation because this place is great and people are catching on to this hidden jewel.
