Great find in downtown Kalispell, recommended by the guy at the liquor store next door. Pasties off the appetizer menu made a great lunch with a side of mash. My girlfriend had the seasonal sandwich special...shaved ham with melted Havarti on a soft pretzel roll. All was hot and filling, just as a good Irish meal should be!

Came in for lunch and only had an appetizer of assorted goodies ~ " a wee bit of many things" and it was delicious!!!!

Food was delicious. Had the Salmon Flatbread and are planning a trip back from the east just for that. The Rueben is probably the best I've ever had, and if you read my crap, you'll see that I love Ruebens. My lady friend had a Pastie; light, fluffy, and delectable. The gravy was a perfect accompaniment to a great dish. We can't wait to return to Kalispell and have another outstanding meal at Brannigans.

Just had dinner at Brannigans and couldn't be happier. Thisi is one of the best Irish restaurants we have ever eaten at! The salmon & artichoke dip was totally unique. Service and hospitality could to be topped. Wished we had know about this place when we first arrived in Kalispell.

Beautiful Bar with all the Irish Whiskeys and Beers you would expect of an Irish Pub, very good food, enjoyed several different appetizers and a great Reuben. Nicely prepared menu and wonderful staff.

Decent place. The pasties and Ruben sandwich are good. The beer is usually good, we have been there once or twice and something was weird with the Guiness. We figured maybe the Co2 was off...

The ambience is awesome. An Irish bar that meets all of my expectations. The service is extremely happy and knowledgeable on the menu. We had the Bits o' Steig for an appetizer; buttermilk dredged, deep fried bites of sirloin with a spicy horseradish sauce... Tasted amazing. For the meal we had the Corned Beef Reuben sandwich... The best Reuben I have had This will be a definite stop whenever I am in town.

It's really cool that we have an Irish Pub. I came here for lunch one day, though, and wasn't crazy about the food. My husband said the same when he went on a different occasion. I had the Bangers and Mash. It was just ok. My mother had the Rogue Garden Isle, a salad which didn't look that great and she said the same. My brother had the fish and chips which he said was great. The Irish Wedding Rings or calamari was amazing!! Would come here again for that!! Actually, the food here is elevated for bar food. For lunch or if you have a hankering for something, not so much, at least for what I've tried. The bar itself is beautiful though. And its in downtown Kali. Second only to Tupelo IMHO. Enjoy!!

A party of four of us had lunch here. We did not arrive until 1 PM. From the time we ordered our food until it arrived, it was 50 minutes. I'm sorry, but that is way too long. My husband and I split a Reuben sandwich. It certainly was not the best I've ever had but it was OK. Not much meat and I had to search to find the sauerkraut. One of our friends had the chicken pot pie and she liked it. Our other friend had a sandwich that was made out of pretzel bread and he enjoyed it. The ambience is very nice and our bartender was nice but not very attentive. I would have given it one more star had it not taken so long to get our food. That can be the kiss of death for a restaurant.

Irish bar food The Service: The staff is half good half inept. sometimes you get good service sometimes you don't. The Food: Above average price. If your drinking and dont care how much money falls out of your wallet on food during the evening perhaps this pub is for you... Shepherds pie is made with beef. The planks and gravy has become fries and gravy... They do have some great Irish beer on tap, and bottles of other Irish favorites.

I stopped in here for dinner. It was crowded and people seemed to be having a good time. I was seated quickly. This is an Irish pub, so the menu reflects that theme. I ordered the corned beef and cabbage. The beef was tender. It might have been a bit too tender. The cabbage was good, cooked just right. It came with lots of carrots, which were tender without being mushy. They were served nice and hot. I ate all I could; it was good. They had a very good singer playing. I enjoyed his music very much. His voice and his songs fit the place perfectly. Not feeling particularly well, I ordered water for dinner. They were a little slow in bringing it. Good food, great atmosphere, friendly service make for a pleasant evening.

Went on a Saturday for lunch. Place was pretty empty. Nice enough inside - like a chain Irish pub. I started with an apple cider. Mmmm apple cider. I had a corned beef reuben. It was really good - good amount of corned beef, well flavored with the sauce and other ingredients. I had a salad with it - which was small and pretty pathetic. I also asked for some soda bread (my girlfriend got some with her salad). It was nothing like real soda bread - it was more like a cranberry scone. It was really good - a bit sweet. My father-in-law got fries with his reuben - they were quite good. Crispy, a bit spiced. Nice. Our server was really good. He got me at least 5 refills of water. And at the end, recited a long poem for us, which was interesting. Didn't care much for it, but it was certainly novel.

Excellent corn beef and cabbage. I would highly recommend it. Incredible flavor in the corned beef. Service was good. Clean restaurant. The beer selection was also very good.

Really good affordable food and great wait staff. Had a yummy meatloaf and cider. Wifi speed is good, I recommend this place for travelers or locals.

Had the absolute worst service in my life. Bartender was rude and ignored me for over 15 minutes before checking to see if I was going to order food. She was more concerned with gossiping at the end of the bar. I changed my order to go because I couldn't spend my time sitting in that exceedingly negative environment. After getting my food home my sandwich was burnt to a crisp. Literally. How do you burn a Reuben sandwich ?!?! I have been here before and it wasn't much better except the food was ok . No such thing as greeting a customer in this place. No customer service either. I was treated poorly and therefore due to this experience have marked this place off my list of places to recommend to my Clients.

A local client recommended Brannigans on my way back to Missoula. The Irish Death beer, salmon flatbread and pastie did not disappoint. Good bar food.

  • Jeff O.

Absolutely the worst service I have ever seen. Took 12 minutes to order a diet coke and another 10 to order food. The Reuben was delicious however doesn't come near making up for the piss poor service. Bum deal as it was highly recommended by a friend. Apparently you need to be a local.

The Pub itself is great. It's open, inviting, plenty of room, outside seating and a big parking lot. They have a couple of flat screen TVs and a full bar in case you feel like a shot of Jameson. The menu is easy. One page of Irish pubs classics like Bangers and mash, Shepherds pie and Corn beef and cabbage. Though I love that kind of food, it was to heavy for me on a hot summer day. Thankfully, they also have three salads to choose from. Our server was great. Very friendly and he was always checking back. I would definitely come here again. 8/11/13

There are a few , so called, Irish pubs in town, but just because you name your bar with an Irish name doesn't make it an Irish pub. Brannigan's is an exception to that rule. It may not be in Ireland, but the Irish knot work and Celtic inscriptions on the beams, the communal table, the Irish beer on tap, the bangers and mash, corned beef and cabbage, Ruben sandwiches, and the beautiful waitresses dressed in those cute Irish maid uniforms make me feel, at least for an hour or 2, that I'm in one. Be warned, this place is über popular and combine that with the fact that it's on the small side, by American standards, it may having you waiting for a place to sit. I said it's on the small side, but it actually the perfect size, I've been in pubs in Europe 1/2 this size and they are great fun. As time goes by, and some of the newness wears off, it will be easier to get into, but for now it's crowded, but I'm getting used to it. Actually, at this point, I've kind of become a regular. Damn it's loud in there though! With the place 1/2 full you can barely hear the person next to you talk. Why? The walls are brick with nothing on them to help absorb sound. Hey, Brannagan's , hang something on those walls, the sound is deafening!!!

I have long been a fanatic about Reuben's and I try them out at every place I possibly can, from all different states. I have to say, Brannigan's has something special going on back there because I haven't tasted one as good yet! The Bangers are also great and super filling. Wash it down with a Jameson and Ginger and take in the view of that gorgeous bar and woodwork! Great local spot

We arrived and sat out on the deck, which was fantastic! Ordered the Dippin' Sticks to start and they might be the best little appetizer I've had in a while. Mom ordered a sandwich special, which she said was good, and I ordered the Shepard's Pie....WOW! Ate the whole plate full. Fresh green beans, yummy chunks of potatoes, and ground sirloin among awesome mashed potatoes. Would definitely order again. We did not try any of the beers, although I will be back to do so. The atmosphere and service were great. Recommend if you're in Kalispell!

This is easily my favorite place to eat in Kalispell! The atmosphere is great, the staff is amazing and the food is to die for (and reasonably priced)! Anything you order tastes great with a Smithwick's...but I recommend the black & tan onion rings or the pretzel bites for a starter.

What a great new addition to Kalispell. This is by far one of the best things to happen around here (for nightlife) in quite some time. It's cute, quaint, tight, loud, and perfectly pub style like they intended. A great place to meet your friends after work for a quick drink or even try one of their euro-style themed appetizers or meals. I had the Bangers and Mash and it was everything I would have imagined it to be. The Oysters and Calamari were delish too! Every half hour or so , there is a bell that rings and that initiates the Bartender to sing an Irish jig that most of the bar has already memorized and sings along to during the chorus. Great location and ample of parking.
