So, we began a 5600 mile road trip. Our first stop was in Drummond. I called and talked to the owner and explained we would be late. She put the key under the mat. I knew this would be good. We arrived at 1:30 am and yes, there was a key. Our room was 1950 era but clean to a fault. The room was huge. I was really wonderful to start our adventure there. Wood paneling is back. The spotlessly clean bath room with a medicine cabinet we would all kill for and the hook was a nail. We judged every single place we stayed on the towel standard. This place had the largest, whitest fluffiest towels we ever had. Best biscuits and gravy on our trip. They also suggested we travel off the freeway for a while on the side road and it was a wonderful adventure.

Cute little small town cafe/motel. Basic food like burgers and breakfast. It's clean and has that old time simpler life charm. The homemade soup was awesome...perfect for a cold/snowy day.

Stopped in for our first visit on our way from Missoula to Bozeman. Ordered the 1/2lb home style burger--excellent and oh so greasy! My wife ordered the French Dip and said it was very good. We were also able to order our 2 year old some fried eggs and bacon at 5:30 pm which worked great. Everything came out in less than ten minutes and totally hit the spot. Service was also very friendly and relaxed. The waitress (who mentioned she had several grandchildren) offered to walk our fussy 2 month old around the restaurant so my wife could eat her supper! She had the grandmother's magic touch it would seem as our daughter calmed down enough after just a few moments to be put back in her car seat contented. You don't get that kind of service from a chain restaurant! We will definitely stop here again when the situation allows.

Delicious home cooking - far better than most chain restaurants and great prices as well. We are definitely coming back in the future. I had the hamburger, fries, soup and Apple pie. Soooo good for another 7-8 hours of traveling.

A regular stop on my Montana route. Great old-fashioned home cookin'. Great service. A relaxing step back in time. I even have a picture of local landmarks on the wall. A quaint little place. Today, the very nice waitress (I didn't get her name unfortunately), told me that she worked for the Wagon Wheel Cafe fifteen years ago. Left town for various normal reasons. And came back. She said nothing had changed, and the place runs the way it did decades ago. Kind of a good thing to hear.

Great little home style restaurant. Homemade soups and pies are great. Friendly staff, clean, old style counter. Good place to stop for a slice of yester-year.

Made a random stop here on our way to Missoula. Lucky us! Nothing fancy here--just down home country cooking at its best. Great breakfast including pancakes made with love! Everything was cooked to perfection and their biscuits and homemade sausage gravy was fabulous. Coffee and service was great too. Highly recommend.
