Stopped by on our way through Montana in the recommendation of other yelp reviews. Great service with none of the nonsense. The place has this dive-y vibe but inside it feels like you're at grammy's table. Very homey. Get the cinnamon rolls!

Service 3/10: the waitress took 30 minutes after our meal was done Food 1/10: Fries were soggy, meat was dry, biscuits were not crispy Environment: 2/10: The place was old and felt like it was falling apart

The staff is super friendly and I'm assuming the older gentleman that came and spoke to us after we had eaten was the owner! He was superb! The nostalgic feeling you'll get after entering the front door is of the 1950's / 60's. The decor is original and the upkeep is great! Try the biscuits and gravy... So good! Stick with breakfast items and the coffee is pretty good. This is a local spot so try it out and enjoy all the history in the display cases as you enter!

This is THE PLACE in Butte to go for a fantastic breakfast, lunch or dinner! Regardless of when your thinking about stopping by, they have delicious Pasty's! We stopped by for some breakfast. We wound up meeting a lot of the locals that seemed to be regulars. Everyone was very friendly and had loads of stories to tell about how Butte was different "back in the day" :-) Food~ everything is fresh and cooked to order. The coffee was hot, eggs cooked perfectly and the bacon was crisp. Is was a great breakfast. We also had to get a Pasty to go. It too was fantastic! Restaurant~ what a neat old place! The owners have done a great job maintaining this very old building and making their restaurant inevitable and comfortable. It will make you feel as though you've stepped back in time to when it was a dinner 30 years ago. It's very clean and the service is super! This was a great find while traveling through Butte! If your a local you know about the Gamers Cafe! If your traveling through Butte, add this place as a stop, you'll enjoy it!

Local eat here and discuss life. If you have questions, they are quick to help you out. Food is fresh and tasty. Typical breakfast fare. They have pasties if you want to give that regional item a try (I could not due to soy) They use soybean oil (I have soy issues) but grilled my chicken and cottage fries in butter for me. Wonderful historical artifacts to ponder - clothing, pictures, etc.

Excellent food and service! I had the Pasty with gravy, and it was really tasty! My son had the chicken fried steak, and it was super good too! We had a large party here for lunch, after a memorial gathering to honor my dad. This was one of my dad's favorites in Butte, which is where he grew up. It's a real piece of Butte history -- you can tell just walking in. A lot of the locals LOVE this place!

Some of the nicest people you will ever meet work here! And the food is pretty good, too. Went to Gamer's for lunch and had pasties AND pork sandwiches, both iconic foods of Butte, I was told. We were a large group and they put us in a separate party room. Great service.

Small, quiet, American style food. Service was quick, coffee was always warm, and not burned, waitstaff was very polite and welcoming.

Gamers has lost a lot of its original charm. Back in the day, you paid at the register and made your own change. Now, the decor is loud quasi art deco, but the service is pretty friendly. This is a good place for breakfast (with the downfall of the M&M...probably the best in town). The pastys are fare but they ain't Nancy's (on Continental). They do have a little spicier flavor which is a good switch up.

Oh, good old fashioned Montana breakfast. Complete with cottage fries - which unfortunately, were not as my Friend remembered them. Friendly staff, in a historic building that once was a lively dance hall...the glory of days gone by... Coffee - diner style. Pancakes, eggs, hashbrowns....standard fare. A fun place, if anything for the atmosphere.

I had a basic American breakfast at the counter and read a left over copy of the Montana Standard (the local rag is all of 10 pages - I defaulted back to Blackberry for some news with detail). The eggs, toast, and hash browns were delicious and exactly what I was expecting. The young ladies working the booths and counter had a wonderful rhythm of checking in, topping off good brewed coffee and joking around. Outstanding value for money - I was out the door for around $8 bucks before tip. Stop in for breakfast and look around. A very historic place.

This place has gone downhill. The staff is still friendly, but. Had biscuits and gravy for breakfast there last sunday. The biscuits were cold in the middle and had to be sent back. Worse than that, the biscuits were just wrong. They tasted sweet, almost like they were made of white cake batter. Totally didn't work with the country gravy, which on its own (or on potatoes) was pretty good.

This place is gorgeous. It has the original art deco fit out, with pink and aqua green colour scheme. You can sit at the bar on the heavy cast iron swivel seats, or hang in a booth with hooks for your cowboy hat. This living piece of history is another excellent reason to visit this town. I had a spicy omelet for breakfast, which was fine fine fine.

The nicest people are at Gamer's! The breakfast is delicious and it is a nice quiet place to have your meal and read the paper. Stay as long as you like at the counter and none of the waitresses ever give you a hard time about taking too long and they always make sure your coffee or juice is topped off and your food is how you like it. The portions are large and the menu is extensive. Sit at the counter and talk with the old men locals about the happenin's around Butte!
