Uncle Buck’s Bar And Restaurant

What a surprise! We stopped at Uncle Buck's because we were headed east on I-90 and wanted to turn off onto I-15 south without having to drive into Butte. It may not look like much from the outside but the owner was so nice. We had our four small boys with us and he was very warm and friendly with them. We ordered the Hatch burger with onion rings and barbecue sauce and it was so good. It came out quickly and was reasonably priced. We ordered chicken nuggets, a corn dog and fries. My kids can be picky but they ate well. There was a bar attached but we didn't use it. A good stop for a quick meal and friendly service.

Excuse the cliche, but the phenomenal natural beauty of the state of Montana is breathtaking. It is hard to convey in mere typewritten words the mountains, rivers, endless grass fields, and - ultimately - golden arches, that make this state a life experience. After playing golf at the local course, hunger set in. While driving through town, my companion and I stumbled upon this local business. Given our circumstances, we were unable to make reservations, but were greeted by the waitstaff as if we were regulars. We were seated in a desirable location after ordering our meal off of a picture-board. While the menu was colorful and descriptive, it could not possibly foreshadow the culinary brilliance that would be delivered on our own brown plastic tray. All of our senses were immediately immersed by the mind-boggling assemblage of ground steak surrounded by breaded bliss. While many restaurants offer static condiment selections giving an illusion of choice, this restaurant knows what is best and delivers. Every bite of the savory central meal is immediately offset by the aromatic potato slices. If the divine being felt the need to commit itself to food, it has done so in Anaconda.

I was surprised that there is no review on yelp for this cute place yet and this place is definitely worth recommending. The b&b here is so cute and the host is so nice and sweet! The Jenny Jane room we have stayed is a like a cute princess room and there are room with a lot of other styles like Montana :)

Seriously how did this Chinese restaurant end up in little Anaconda, Montana? By far some of the best food I have had in a while. The price is ridiculously cheap. I recommend splitting a meal because the portions are crazy big. Yum yum. I am so stuffed.
The food tastes wonderful! The atmosphere is casual/okay. Unfortunately, customer service can be improved immensely! They serve beer and wine from the attached casino, that was a plus.
This place is great. Their prices are reasonable. The portions are large and the food doesn't taste like it's been sitting under a warmer. The service is great and speedy. It doesn't taste overly greasy.

As Dairy Queens go, this one is above ave. Good food and good service. Also they are happy to put together any special concoction you think of. For example, I had a choc. shake with coffee added! Also, they have some special menu items like foot longs.

Pork chop sandwich was by far the best I've had in Montana, even better than the original in Butte. Fast service and good family options. Great little restaurant in Anaconda.
Good food... The famous pork chop sandwiches are not that famous.. Their old recipe was better. Small portion servings. They do not take credit cards. Mixed reviews...
This is your favorite greasy spoon or dinner style restaurant. Don't go there expecting gourmet salads. However it is all good. From their milkshakes and onion rings to their silver stack sandwiches you can't go wrong.

Great food!! The homemade pies are amazing! They cook to order.. The Prime Rib is very good! The menu has a variety of good food.. Breakfast is served all day. Wine and beer are available. Good for the whole family, or a date night out!!
Service was really good. Everyone is very nice and doing their job. The food is good! The plates are well served and the restaurant overall seems clean.
We drove too long across Montana without eating and then took a chance in Anaconda. My wife ordered a salad, iced tea and a patty melt. The tea was fermented. She sent it back for a diet coke that arrived without any fizz. It was flat. After a few bites of salad she discovered it too was fermented and she pushed it to the side. The patty melt was a greasy mess. I ordered a club sandwich and potato salad because I wanted something light. The club had been grilled in margarine or some oily substance and was greasy! I have never had a greasy club before. It haunted me for the rest of the day. The waitress continued to chat with regulars after we went to the cash register to pay after tiring of waiting for our bill for this mess.

We had always heard good things about this place. Unfortunately, when we took the opportunity to try it we were very disappointed. We were seated timely based on our reservation. Our waitress was attentive to the point of taking our order and starting the production of courses. Then things took a turn...Our drinks were never delivered. Our waitress just seemed to disappear. We asked that the bar drinks be removed from the bill before we received the bill and the waitress acknowledged. The drinks were added to the bill anyway and the waitress was nowhere to be found. We finally got the attention of a staff member bussing a table, explained and then just had to wait for the waitress to reappear, discuss things further and finally correct things. The lobster style prawns were cold and served inconveniently. The salad dressing and potato serving dishes are questionable at best...are these reused from table to table and do you really know where the spoons have been before they arrive? That being said, the tenderloin was cooked to perfection and probably one of the better steaks we've had. We love good food and the opportunity to try new venues and we are willing to pay for this quality and high standard. This place is friendly but lacks good service and quality and the standard that goes along with "fine dining". If you decide to go...order the steak.
Great service, good food, and a local institution. I went on the recommendation of a work colleague that you could cut the steak with a fork. I ordered the tenderloin and a dirty vodka martini. The bartender asked if I would like vermouth...I thought to myself "I like the service already." Service was attentive throughout and spectacular throughout. When I couldn't decide between the cabernet and the pinot the bartender poured a little of each for me. They were both lovely but I went with the cab for the steak. Dinner is preceded by salad, relish dish (veggies, jalapenos, salami and cheese (one half slice only)) and sesame sticks. Steak accompanied by small plate of spaghetti (average but hearty) and a baked potato with do it yourself bacon bits (fake bacon), sour cream and green onions. Fabulous aside from the fake bacon. The tenderloin...underseasoned which left the beef to speak for itself...it could have used a little something, but I like my spice. Well cooked... and I did cut the first bite with my fork. Well done Anaconda. Small town supper club left me full and satisfied. Bravo.
Great customer service!! You will never leave hungry. Great assortment of wines. Food is great & priced very reasonably. The tenderloin & prawns are amazing!! I would recommend this restaurant to aLL! Over and over!

Great food.. Awesome servers.. Great selection on the menu.. Service has improved since my last review ..
Went there a bit late for breakfast, but prior to the listed time for serving breakfast, which was 1 pm. They said no to breakfast, I said see ya!
This place is all about the ambience. My recommendation would be to go for pizza and a beer but not much else. Although the salads on the menu looked good I wonder about how they came out in practice. The kids menu has a lot of good options as well and you can eat just about anything as long as you're sitting in Herbie! Stick to pizza and beer and should be all good.
