I visited the Dew Drop Inn twice on a recent trip to Montana. They had a fixed menu, and then a "specials" menu on a whiteboard sign. I chose to order from the specials sign. My first meal was the brats with sauerkraut and onion rings. The brats were flavorful and the onion rights were hot and fresh. My second meal was less successful. It came about from the following conversation with the desk dude: Me: Alligator sandwich, huh? Is it real alligator? Dude: Yeah it sure is. Me: Wow, where you guys get the alligator? Dude: I have no idea where he (the owner) gets the alligator. Me: Cool. I'm sold. Dude: Do you want that with lemon pepper or BBQ sauce? Me: What do you recommend? Dude: Lemon pepper. Me: Done. The alligator tested like a tough, stale chicken nugget with a slightly fishy aftertaste. I was longing for the brat one bite into it. Overall a good place to enjoy lunch in the shade with the locals. Overheard during lunch: "I lost a horse and I didn't think I was going to have to dynamite it but now I think I'm going to have to use dynamite."
