Another southern road trip experience. Blueberry donuts tasted more like blueberry muffins that had been deep fried. Fried chicken, biscuits and gravy were great.

I figured a place with fried chicken in the title has to be great.....this place was not very good. After my co-worker and I left....I told him that was the most ordinary meal I've every had. Everything was extremely bland.

Good food, good atmosphere. The food was good but not great. The food was a little under seasoned for my taste.

Best chicken biscuit (get it with gravy) and blueberry donuts anywhere. Been loving them since I was a kid and have to stop by every time we go home.

My husband and I were out running errands and we wanted to stop somewhere for a snack. We both ordered the chicken and biscuit with gravy. It was so good that my husband went back to the counter to order MORE CHICKEN.This is some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. I also tried a blueberry donut. Blueberry donuts are one of my favorite foods and theirs is one of the best I have ever tried. My only complaint are that the it is too small!!! I can't get enough and it would take 3 to satisfy me. Also, it is a little pricy for fried chicken, but it is so good that I am willing to shell out a little more! The salad bar looked amazing and I have heard the onion rings are also out of this world.

I had the chicken biscuit with gravy and it was AMAZING!! Only negative thing is that their creamer for coffee is the powder kind and not fresh.

Stopped by for breakfast before taking my board exams for the first time after I yelped them .. Can I say..OMG!! So good!! The biscuits were fresh! I had the pork tenderloin biscuit with gravy..and it was amazing! I wish I would have gotten more to take home. And you cannot miss the warm blueberry donut! This place is southern goodness at its best!

The best blueberry donuts! One of those things you crave! We went on our way to the beach last Saturday and been dreaming of them since. Headed back there today on our way home.

Perfect lightly fried chicken....amazingly moist, juicy and tender! I've been here now twice and not been disappointed. For breakfast they serve an amazing chicken and biscuit sandwich...their incredible fried chicken tender served on a homemade biscuit. Small so if you are hungry you should order more than one Lunch I had the chicken tenders: 4 tenders with 2 freshly baked rolls and choice of two sides. The Mac&cheese and green beans were good, but not great. But the star again was the chicken for which this local institution is known. The strips again are perfectly lightly breaded and so moist they nearly melt in your mouth. Paired with a honey mustard or eaten plain. Delicious! Then there is the matter of their house made blueberry donut..warm, soft and sweet. Definitely tasty!! If you are in town in Tupelo..check out Connies.

Our favorite spot in Tupelo. We frequent here due to picking up furniture. They have thee best chicken biscuit I have ever had. I have yet to have the fried chicken, but my husband says it is the best as well. DON'T forget your blueberry doughnut... you will regret it!

Been coming here for years. My wife loved the fried chicken tenders. I make a meal off a healthy salad from their well stocked salad bar to balance out the fried onion rings. Onion rings are superb in my opinion. I rate them second in the world only to Corky's in Memphis which I consider the best, when you catch them on a good day. Have never made it here for breakfast, after seeing all the rave reviews, I'll have to get up earlier in the future and try it. The manager is Bill Clinton's twin brother- not really but the resemblance is remarkable.

It's a fast food model stop run by local people. Lauded for their breakfast, but I've never been there for it. Fried chicken is great - it's always juicy and crisp, never soggy and always quality - I've never been served an undersized piece in 20 years of regular dining. Freshest salad bar on that side of town. You're expected to dress your sandwiches from the salad bar as well. Onion Rings are super if you're in them for the crust and not the vegetable.

Breakfast here is a must if you are in Tupelo. Chicken and biscuit with gravy is amazing. Gravy and biscuit so good. Don't forget a blueberry doughnut or 12. Lunch and dinner get chicken tenders and onion rings. These are home style cooked no need for anything fancy here. I've eaten here regularly for 22 or so years and it's never disappointing.

I have hear lots of people in Tupelo BRAG about Connie's Chicken..... I was not so impressed! the chicken was nicely cooked and juicy.... BUT.... Where the Hell is the seasoning???? Please add a spicy version to your menu, I think you would double your business.

One of my favorite places in Tupelo for breakfast. Located right across the street from the hospital so it's always busy but it's worth the wait! My favorite is the chicken biscuit with creamy gravy. The chicken is always tender and biscuits fluffy plus if you can stand a dessert for the first meal of the day, try the blueberry donuts. Warm and yummy every time!!!

I really wanted to like this a lot as any business that lasts 30 years or more has to get some snaps right? We had a breast of fried chicken for breakfast, no biscuit or gravy. The chicken itself was moist and tasty but the fried part was soggy and lacked any seasoning so was bland. We threw some mayo on it to tart it up and it was much better. We followed this with their famous blueberry doughnuts..mm well I don't know what I was expecting, maybe a beignet since we were fairly south, maybe a doughnut akin to shipleys...but certainly not a cross between these two resulting into a donutmuffin. Having said this, it was tasty and hit the spot but really nothing special. All this for $5 inc coffee very good value. The drive through was heaving and inside just as busy. Old fashioned menu board and counter hot from the 70's was a nice piece of its roots.

Food is pretty good, but I was disappointed to see this is a fast food model, not sit down service. Took a day trip to Tupelo and saw Connie's was rated best for breakfast. Short menu. Should have done more homework. On a positive note, the manager came to the table to confirm our order was right as they had forgotten a couple things at the counter. All in all, an OK experience. Note that the restrooms were cruddy and in need of an update. Maybe they we're clean but I couldn't tell.

Not only is Connie's Fried Chicken a very good place...we had biscuits, gravy, chicken and blueberry donuts....it was delicious. We were on a family emergency trip from Savannah, Ga. To Kansas City and we were returning home to Savannah. After eating breakfast at Connie's, we drove all day and checked into a hotel in Columbus, Ga. I discovered my purse was missing. I called Mr. Asters at Connie's, He told me He had my purse. His wife took the purse to U.P.S, sent it special delivery. It arrived on time last evening. My purse contained my passport, drivers license, credit cards, a one hundred bill, an expensive camera and check book. Absolutely everything was exactly as I left it. In today's world, I would like to give thanks to the Asters for being the kind of people that built this nation......

We stopped in for lunch and had the chicken tinders and the were very good. I also like the choose of a salad bar as a side. I wish the bowl was bigger.

Yes, yes, blueberry donuts, yes, for the fourth time (which is the number I ate), yes. These are like little slices of heaven when they are warm and melting in your mouth. One of those four was cold though (let it sit too long) and it was nothing special. The fried chicken biscuit was awesome too. This place is made for donuts and chicken, no doubt. Don't expect a waitress to fill up your coffee cup or for the coffee to be that good. Just go for the food.

Connie's is the best! I'm from Philly Pa, and the Chicken is the best I've had anywhere in the country. The service is great and there's even a cute girl named Keelee that might give you free blueberry doughnuts if your nice! She's worth it alone!

Connie's breakfast is second to none! Best blueberry doughnuts I've ever had the pleasure of trying!

This gets 5 stars for 1 reason only....the blueberry donuts. If I have friends or family come from out of town/state this is the one place I make sure I take them. I've never eaten any meal besides breakfast here. Their chicken biscuits are good but if you're anywhere near Tupelo in the morning, make sure you get 1 or 12 blueberry donuts.

Best Fried Chicken and Onion rings in the world. Period. We were on a road trip through the south (we're from Los Angeles) and we tried about 8 different, highly recommend, fried chicken places in Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi. Connie's, we all agreed, was by far the best. And the staff and owner we're SO nice. When the owner found out we were from LA and rushed to get to his place before closing he gave us extra things to try like the sweet tea, etc. Very nice of him and it really made for a good experience. Prices are more than reasonable. And don't worry about the cholesterol. There's a hospital across the street and that's what Lipitor is for. Bon apetit!

I am sure that they serve meals other than breakfast, and they are likely quite good. However, their breakfast, as everyone has mentioned thus far is outstanding. The blueberry donuts are unlike any I have ever had, and the tenderloin and gravy biscuit is the perfect savory match for the donut's sweetness. This is a must go if in the area for breakfast, and has been consistently good for the past 20 years!
