FANTASTIC!!! Being from Texas I have specific BBQ tastes and this place was amazing! My kids each got a pulled pork dog, basically it is pulled pork in a hotdog bun. They each got to choose one side and a drink and it was like $4 each. WAY CHEAP for the portion sizes! My husband and I shared the sampler platter and it came with ribs, brisket, pulled pork and smoked chicken. The amount of food was plentiful and we ended up taking half of it home and the 5 of us ate it for supper that night. The platter also came with a choice of 4 sides, we got the cole slaw (awesome), mac and cheese (great), beans (awesome) and green beans (pretty good). The sweet tea was really good! We couldn't have been happier with this place! They also sell their own BBQ sauce and we picked up some of that to bring home, it made the trip safely and has been used a couple of times already! So happy we gave this place a shot and everyone that works here was very friendly and helpful!

I was in Tupelo on business and looking for a great lunch place. I am always looking for great BBQ so I thought that I would give Bishop's a shot. I was very pleased with everything that I had. They had great pork, a sweet sauce (a requirement by me for good BBQ) and very good mac and cheese. I thought the baked beans were just ok...but there are plenty of other sides to try the next time.

Great BBQ place! I had the sausage sandwich, and it had excellent flavor combined with peppers and onions on top. The Jazzy sauce complemented it well. The front window pronounced that they served fried green tomatoes, and if I could make them as well as this place does, I'd paint it on my front window too. Another in our group had the ribs. They we're fall-off-the-bone tender with a great dry rub. He didn't even add sauce to his. The other in our party had the pulled pork sandwich and a side of fried pickles and declared them both delicious. High marks: *an extensive (and surprising, for a smaller mom and pop type place) selection of sides, including fried okra, corn fritters, corn on the cob, and a delicious sweet potato casserole. *generous portions *array of homemade bbq sauces *quick service *reasonable pricing We will definitely return if we ever come back to Tupelo!

Delicious bar-b-que with tasty sides, especially the fried green tomatoes! I also ordered the homemade banana pudding & the only thing wrong with it? I just wanted more!!

My girlfriend and I got the big sampler so that we could try a lot of things. The pulled pork was my favorite, with the chicken second and the ribs third. The brisket was too dry and the mac & cheese tasted like it came from a box. The sweet potato casserole was yummy!! The corn fritters were not what I was expecting (it's like a cornbread pancake) but they were good to eat with the meat. The fried pickles were delicious but super salty. The sauces were really tasty. I didn't feel like the lady taking our order was very welcoming and she didn't look happy. Overall, it was a good experience, but I've had better BBQ before.

This is one of my favorite BBQ places. The meat ranges from very good to slightly fatty, portions are large and a nice smoke flavor. The sauces are fantastic. All their sides are great, from homemade potato chips to deep fried crusty onion rings. Great beans with a thick hickory sauce. Texas Toast cooked decently and full of butter every time. I've had almost everything on the menu, and none of it disagreed with me. Top it off with fair prices and friendly people. Hard to beat.

This place is an old school country style BBQ shack. Just inside the front door you'll find the menu hanging over the counter. Just ask what they recommend and go with it...if you've gotten this far you wont be disappointed. Brisket is alright, pork is good and the chicken is great. Three types of sauce on the table and you can buy a take home bottle on the way out.. Try the fried green tomatoes if you like that sort of thing, they're better than most. The Fresh Homemade Banana Pudding will make your ears ring and your knees buckle if your not ready for it...diabetics beware. Country Classic.

Just all around excellent! Placed a catering order for 50 this week. The girls answering the phones were very helpful in figuring out how much food I needed for a group that size. The food arrived today 10 minutes early, the owner was one of the guys who delivered the food and they also set it all out for me as a buffet. And last but not least, everything we had was delicious (pulled pork, chicken, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw and banana pudding). People were asking me left and right where the delicious food had come from. Highly recommend!

That was fantastic! Driving through town and saw the good reviews on yelp. So glad we decided to stop. Nice little joint with some big BBQ taste.

A local 4 star restaurant that provides good , fast , food ; at an economic price. I often get to go orders because our family cannot eat at the same time. My best of menu is: pulled pork, slaw, onion rings, shrimp plate, and crinkle cut potatoes. Needs a great deal of improvement in customer service with to go orders and counter request of service. That is far less than McDonald drive thru.

Good down home southern BBQ. Sauces didn't wow me, seemed a bit thin. Good food for a decent price. Probably will try another place next time we are in Tupelo.

AS GOOD AS IT GETS! We have traveled to this area for business for over a decade and our business partners in New Albany have "Carried" us around to all kinds of restaurants through the years. After my many tastings of Good Ole Mississippi BBQ and Fixin's this place is the best yet. The potato salad is like nothing I had ever had before and had I not stopped myself I would have gone back up to the counter for another order of it! Everyone in our party ate wonderfully and going forward I will always make a stop here when visiting the area.

Pretty decent prices for BBQ meats that are average. Can't complain about any thing we ordered. The sweet tea was good. There are similar options in Tupelo I feel have superior taste. I ate at the location off of McCullough blvd.

Smoked chicken, ribs, pulled pork, brisket...........believe me, it's all good at Bishop's. I have been to this delicious barbecue joint three times and have never been disappointed. They make their own sauces, and all of them are good. The people are friendly (I am a little biased--they took a picture of our 7 week old and put it on thier FB page...) and the portions are a nice size. I highly recommend Bishop's for anyone who enjoys barbecue.

Very delicious. I tried the sampler and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. I was particularly fond of the brisket and the ribs were superb! The staff was friendly and attentive but not overbearing. I will definitely be returning.

Bishop's consistently serves great BBQ. Their brisket & smoked turkey are moist and full of flavor and their hot BBQ sauce is perfect if you like a little heat. Although their meats & sides are all good, it is the beans that are the best in the area and are a must-order.

Excellent pulled pork. Try the sweet sauce. Yummy! And they had room for us to park while hauling our camper.

Please excuse me while I talk like my 13 year old Daughter!! OMG y'all, this is like THE best BBQ in MS. I cannot BELIEVE how full we got!! Do yourself a favor and eat here often. I know I'll eat here anytime I'm in MS from now on. This is a new place since the last time I was in town. I'm not here often so it's always changing to me. P.S. the reason there are no photos is because you can't stop eating long enough to take any!!

Great local find! I tried this place out based on a friend's recommendation while I was in town. The people were very friendly. Brisket was good, I wish I would have tried all of the sauces, but I didn't. Baked beans are good with the right amount of peppery spiciness... if you don't like spice, you may want to stay away. Mac and cheese was great too. The only thing I tried that I wasn't a fan of was the cornbread... not sweet and not much taste - this is a personal opinion, as I am used to sweet northern cornbread and from what I am told.. sweet cornbread is not typical in this area.
