We were exploring Tunica and happened upon this little gem, so we decided to pop in for some snacking and drinks. The margaritas were a little on the weak side. It took about 3 margaritas to match what I usually experience after 1. They tasted alright though... good enough to put 3 of them down, but nothing more special than OK. My group shared chips with a few different dips. The chips were perfect, nice and warm and crispy. The guacamole, Mexican dip (white cheese with pico de gallo), choriqueso (white sauce with Mexican sausage) all really hit the spot!! The service was great: fast and friendly! I actually enjoyed my time and the food here more than one of the fancy steakhouses at the casino. Our server even gave us directions to another little local hole in the wall bar to go play some darts.

Being from Vegas and this place in the middle of nowhere, good job. I enjoyed myself along with a few friends so much we had to come back again. All the servers were very professional and clean. The only thing i can say about the manager is to smile, everything else is great in this restaurant. The furnishing and ambiance of the place as authentic as you can get out here. Loved the food and definitely worth the prices! The chips are homemade as you can tell when they come out steaming. Unlike other Mexican spots, their chips are really thin flaky and crisp in the perfect way (ate a whole basket myself). Make sure you get Steak de Camarones or anything from their Favorites page. And if you're up for it, get a real Shrimp Ceviche in a huge tub'like wine glass! They looked at me like they've never seen a Yelper before when i asked for the free margarita with check-in. Only 4 reviews so ehh i cant blame 'em. They didn't hold back on the good stuff either. If you're into beer, try Carta Blanca which is usually not served in many Latin restaurants. Live Latin band is occasional and random says the manager, so hopefully someone else can review on how that goes.

What a great place! They make anything on the menu the way you want it with the ingredients you want! I live in Chicago where there are some great Mexican restaurants and some pretty bad ones. This place could compete with the best. If looking for something different than casino food, check-out Mexico Grill! Their grilled jalapeños make any meal.

After enduring several days of mediocre casino food Mexico Grill was a welcome change of pace. The chips were hot and crisp with fresh salsa made served in little carafes where you could see the fresh onion and cilantro. Service was attentive and prompt. We were fortunate to make it in at the tail end of Happy Hour so Mexican bottle beers and margaritas were reasonably priced. The food was satisfying and fresh, with good portions and flavorful sauces. In all, this was the best meal we had all week. Three of us were able to dine, including drinks, for under $40. This is a great alternative to casino dining and well worth the short drive from the resort area. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Tunica.

This place was really gross. That's about all I can say, but you know I like to run my review mouth. Whether it's the sub par fake guacamole, or the cheese sauce on the burrito that made Ryan take one bite and set aside his food, or the rubbery factory farmed chicken fajitas re-fried on a not so sizzling pan, or even the ground beef that made Dave the food hound retch. The staff doesn't want to even be working at this roadside restaurant. But will survive if you eat here? Only time will tell.

Stopped here for lunch on road trip because it was the first place we saw. Glad we did! Yummy mango margaritas, cold Dos XX on tap and great, reasonably priced food. Chili relleno a rock. Tacos come with extra lettuce and guacamole. What more could you want?! Lunch tab for two combos, three cold beers and a healthy sized margarita? $18.42. Love!

As a Canadian gold prospector and avid epicurean, I found the cuisine to offer not only quantity but quality. When I deigned to ask the staff to fetch me salsa with "Más picante" the server replied with a twinkle in his eye "so you like spicy." I construed from this that he would bring me the quality of salsa that could not be found in most of Mississippi. It was in fact so spicy that I believe the server was of a schadenfreude inclination. I think I struck gold in middle of tunica Mississippi.

Solid option in a town without many options. Food is good, but service is spotty. Never enough people working the place. I once saw a patron at the bar get up, walk behind the bar, and then refill his own beer because the bartender (who was also a server/busboy/host) had been absent so long.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
