Let's just say my momma is lucky! This place made me want to slap her. I've been going to the BWW for awhile now, and have been getting bored with the flavors, and it seems lately they don't put any effort into saucing them. My wife went in and ordered takeout while I stayed in the car with the kids. She brought me out twenty wings, ten honey barbecue and ten honey gold. The car was smelling so good, I couldn't wait to get home. The honey barbecue were good, but the honey gold were off the chain! Man, I'm still licking my fingers. They don't skimp on the sauce by any means, get yourself some paper towels cause things are going to get messy. They give you ranch or blue cheese, but with those two sauces you don't need them. Thanks Mr. P's for my long waited wing fix!

Size, spice, flavor, quality, and value ! Wonderful customer service. By far the best wings in the Mid South.

Great staff and service. Recently voted the best wings in Desoto County!! I recommend to anyone how loves a good hot wing. They also have this chicken fatboy that is out of this world.

If you're into wings and sports you have got to try this place! For the restaurant's size, I think they had more widescreen TV's than any Buffalo Wild Wings or Hooters that I've been in. The standard buffalo fare is available in mild, medium or hot renditions and are not breaded but were cooked perfectly when I had them. Crispy on the outside but cooked through & juicy. I'm a medium guy but if you order 20 or more wings they'll accommodate your tastebuds by offering 1/2 of one style & 1/2 of another. Whole wings are available and are a good bit larger than the pre-cut wings & drummies. Boneless wings are also on the menu. The medium wings had nice heat, a well done traditional buffalo flavor (the sauce stuck to the wings surprisingly well) and came with celery & a proprietary bleu cheese that's both tangy & velvety with bleu cheese chunks throughout. Carrots are offered, as well as ranch. The real find for wing connoisseurs are the HONEY GOLD at Mister P's! It's a sweet, zesty, slightly mustard based sauce with a hint of cayenne on the back end. "Wow" is all I was left with after my first experience with them! I would recommend them highly for people who don't like buffalo style wings. Mister P's also offers honey BBQ, dry rub seasoned & lemon pepper dry rub which one of the regulars told me were a favorite of hers. On a second trip a couple of months later I tried the Buster Burger on a friend's recommendation and will repeat. I ordered medium well and it was really much better than I expected from a wing joint. Juicy, nice crust on the outside, great flavor & seasoning. The burger was 1/2 lb and comes in variations ranging from a turkey version on a whole wheat bun to the "Philly Fat Boy" which combines the ingredients of a Philly Cheesesteak and a Buster Burger. The business is a family owned local chain and the owner was very nice and seemed to care about what his customers think. I felt like a regular and it left me with the feeling that "southern hospitality" still exists. The restaurant is in a strip mall & is surrounded by various food choices from all of the regular chains but stands head & shoulders above every wing restaurant in the Memphis metro area/North Mississippi.

Chicken Fried Bacon. Those were the three words on a social media post, and picture, that brought me to Mister P's in Southaven while visiting the area. As expected, the Chicken Fried Bacon was delicious and a hazard to my future well-being. The biggest surprised was the serving size, one that is easily shared and is too much for any single reasonable person. The interesting touch was the maple syrup served on the side, which, when used lightly on the bacon, gives the flavor of a bacon pancake. Too much syrup, however, floods the palate with too much sweetness over top of the salty bacon and ruins the purpose of eating chicken fried bacon to begin with. It was worth the wait, and the effort, for sure. The chicken quesadilla was passable, but not spectacular. Served with Mister P's ranch, the size is worth what you'll pay but the return on your investment comes with a ceiling. Bar food is expected to be salty, right? Salty food means you buy more drinks at a place where they thrive on selling drinks, soft or hard. However, the salt content in the quesadilla is through the roof, to the point where I couldn't manage to finish it all. The chicken was well-cooked, the cheese plentiful and tasty, but the salt was a serious turnoff, and that is saying something for someone who ordered chicken fried bacon. The wings are, of course, the focal point of the menu. Mister P's offers their house-made sauces for sale in jars and it is not a bad investment. Locals will tell you that the Honey Gold sauce is the best of the group and it certainly does not disappoint. The sauce is a nice mix of flavors, none of them too powerful for those who don't wish for their sauces to go overboard with a particular flavor feature. For those who love to eat wings, the Honey Gold sauce is the star of your show, bone-in or boneless. The service was quick and attentive, even on a Friday night that came with a more than half-full house and some of the worst karaoke I have ever heard in my life. The bartenders were friendly and always smiling, which is all a patron can ask for in a such a setting. This is not a region of the country that I frequently visit, but the chicken fried bacon, albeit a cardiac nightmare and a culinary novelty, is enough to bring a return visit should I find myself nearby again.

This is my original review. Since it isn't being displayed anymore. I would give zero stars if I could. I've had 2 mediocre experiences here followed by a third awful one. The service was slow. My hamburger bun was hard. The last and biggest issue was a text offer I had that said $2 drafts on the date I went. I was charged $5 for 2 beers. When I questioned and displayed my text offer, they said it wasn't my phone so they wouldn't honor it. It's $1. If $1 will sink your profit margin you should re evaluate your business model. Not to mention your hiring practices considering how your staff handled it. They way I was treated will not garner a return visit.

I came here for lunch, and there was nobody else in the place.....which kind of concerned me considering how busy most of the restaurants are on Goodman Rd. Eventually another patron did come in, so that made it slightly less uncomfortable. I was kind of disgusted by the rolls of paper towels on the tables, and how you could see sauce residue on them, presumably from other diner's hands. Do I really want to use those to wipe my mouth? I ordered the honey gold wings, as everyone seems to rave about them. I will admit, the flavor was very, very good. But I was terribly dissapointed at how small the wings were, especially for the price I paid. Is it so hard to ask wing places to actually serve decent sized wings??? In summary, the wings I had were good....but the high prices for the skimpy sized wings will probably make me not return.

Some of the best fried catfish in town! Burgers and fries are also excellent, hot wings not so much. Our party of four were the only patrons and the music was so loud we had trouble hearing each other. When we asked for them to lower the volume, the waitress said they couldn't! Huh?

Just did take out wings with my better half. She is a medium person, but I like them hot! We were both satisfied. The fries could have been a bit crispier, but the seasoning on them was excellent. All in all, mighty good. We will be back.

My co-worker recommended I try Mister P's on my next visit to Memphis. I had to come work the Desoto County job fair for my agency and thought this was a good time to give'em a go. I liked the make out of the place. Reminded me of an upsacle Time Out (bar in Jackson) - clean place, cool menu and the bartender was nice and friendly. Glad I caught them when they were slow. I ordered a 20 piece wing (mild) they were sauced really well, had some good bite, they were cooked through and were the perfect texture. Here it is Jackson is only 2.5 hours away from Memphis, and not one bar or local restaurant can make or compete with the wings, like the mom and pop joints in Memphis. Memphis is truly the second city of Buffalo style wings. The foodie scene in Memphis has improved leaps and bounds in the last 15 years - Mr. P's is proof along with the numerous other wing stops and various restaurants in the city. I plan on trying some other menu items before I return home!!!!
