Berry's is a gem. Basic buffet-style country cooking at a great price. The hush puppies were melt in your mouth goodness. Fried shrimp, catfish and chicken were crispy and tasty and the ice tea cold and refreshing. While not anything overwhelmingly unique, this place knows how to do it well. Pattie, my waitress, was attentive, courteous and friendly. At $9.95 for lunch, Berry's is not only sure to delight, but also your wallet will thank you as well. I especially liked the funky metal plate and 'glassware'.

After a day of traveling from Houston to Hattiesburg I was pleasantly surprised to find this little jewel in Maggie Mississippi. For travelers Maggie is located roughly halfway between New Orleans and Jackson Mississippi. The restaurant is Located across from Holiday Inn right along the primary commercial corridor Maggie this restaurant was well occupied by what appeared to be many satisfied patrons. From first glance you may miss it and without the sign might think it was an former industrial building. If it was converted they did a fantastic job the restaurant looks great on the inside and has lots of decorations and the bathrooms are definitely B+\A- The food was delicious I really enjoyed the cat fish and hush puppies fried okra and black-eyed peas. Shrimp tasted a little overcooked perhaps needed to be thrown onto ice as soon as cooking was done but still good. Service was delightful they have some of the friendliest waitresses you could ask for always there to refill your glass. For being an open room the restaurant was reasonable with respect to noise level you could have an actual conversation here. If you're ever traveling from Columbia or Jackson be sure to stop here. The only catfish I've had that was better than this was at catfish station in Houston, but even those guys are from the big ez.

Good solid buffet, desserts are plentiful and high quality. A tad pricey for a buffet though, $52.27 for 2 people with drinks. This is a good environment for a large group that service would be slow with, but a couple or 4 people would probably do just as well at a full service restaurant. Having said all that, considering Magee is the fast food Capitol of MS, if you're here, give em a shot.

Surprisingly good for a buffet. The fried shrimp was lightly breaded and very tasty. Fried okra likewise. Both seemed to be freshly prepared and not out of a bag of frozen stuff. The peas and turnip greens were also very good. Overall I was highly impressed for a buffet.

This is one of the best places I have ever eaten. The food is good the service is good and so is the atmosphere. The cajun pickles are fantastic. I can't wait to go back, but it might be awhile as I live in Arizona. My wife and I just happened to stop by on our way to South Carolina.

Oh, yeah! Sometimes ya' got to go country. Imagine a great big country cookin' ho down buffet and you are at Berry's. Not greasy. Delicious catfish. Neat place. Took a chance when we were hungry and passing through with no regrets.

Awesome. We travel by RV there was plenty of parking and the food was really good. Wait staff was helpful and friendly. Marked it on my map. We will b back!
