This is one of my wife's favorite go-to joints. The Chicken plate is very good. I had baked beans and onion tanglers. I've actually never had a bad meal here. It's pricier than other similar fare, but as often as we eat here it isn't a big deal. Good eats.

Usually enjoy their food, but yesterday I tried the smokehouse salad. Looked at pictures posted in the web and it looked so good, but what they gave me was very disappointing. My salad was served in a torn off half of a to-go box. The lettuce had a lot of "rusty" pieces in it, and the brisket on the top was so cold it tasted greasy. Overall , it was not appetizing to look at, much less eat. My family had the traditional pork and chicken plates which were good, but I would not recommend their smokehouse salad at all. They definitely need to work on this one.

This is the ABSOLUTE BEST BBQ EVER! I love this place! It is pricey, but most BBQ places are, but it is actually a good value when you add in all you can eat free ice cream cones after you eat! They have 3 sauces, the Sweet is my favorite! And the sandwiches are big! The beans are great also! The smell when you walk in their door will make your mouth start watering!

BBQ is like a pizza, it's hard to mess up. This place is good for a chain. Their sides are better than their meats. If you want real BBQ Pig and Pint blows Dickeys away. It's more expensive but definitely worth it. Life's too short to eat mediocre BBQ

Om nom nom nom nom. I have no ill words for Dickey's BBQ pit. As far as ribs are concerned, this was a fantastic place to have some juicy, meaty, tender, fall-off-the-bone ribs. I believe Dickey's is new to Madison, and since I am in town, we had to try some! My mom and I went in to order take-out on a Sunday evening (kudos for being open on Sunday, btw). We were greeted cheerfully and helped through the ordering process. Start at the side and continue to order meat, sides, drinks. We went with the picnic platter, which came with 1 lb. of meat and 2 sides. We got the creamy coleslaw (awesome) and baked potato casserole (it has bacon on top, I do not need to say more). The ribs were absolutely spectacular. Literally, fall off the bone, make a mess on my face spectacular. If I had to give a criticism, I'd say that the spicy bbq sauce just wasn't quite 'spicy'. But, no matter. I still cleaned my plate. To top it off, they have all you can eat soft-serve ice cream! Even though we got take-out, I still splurged with some fro-yo. YUM. So, for a Sunday-funday, or any night where you want some finger-licking good BBQ, I'd suggest you go to Dickey's. My family will definitely be back!

I'm always surprised at the lack of BBQ in our area, so I'm happy to have Dickey's as an option, even if it is a chain. They do a good job, their pulled pork is flavorful, if not a bit fatty. Their sauce is good too, all of them bordering on too sweet though, but still, not bad. The staff is friendly, the sides are pretty decent, the serve yourself soft serve is a nice touch, and kids eat free on Sunday's. There is a lot to like about this place. It is your only BBQ option for a few miles and it has better hours than the next nearest (and much pricier) place.

Been here three or four times. Got the beef brisket each time. Last time brisket was mostly fat. I think that can be avoided if you just ask for lean cuts when you order. They slice it right in front if you. Good BBQ sauces. Love the jalapeño beans. Pretty hot. Great soft serve ice cream. My two boys like it so we will keep going back.

I have been here twice now and the daily specials are a good value especially since it comes with the "big yellow cup". The pulled pork is good for the area and I really enjoy the onion and pickle they include on the plate.

Don't get the ribs. I had pork ribs which were very dark and nasty. No telling how long they had been in storage. They leave the membrane on the bone portion which is just wrong. I had the two meat plate which cost $11.00 for chicken and ribs. The chicken was ok. I won't be going back here.
