Love this place! Great pear salad, wonderful boiled shrimp platter and sumptuous remoulade sauce. Everything is great!!

Very disappointed. We got to the city grille at 9:15 on a Saturday night. The doors were locked and someone inside was mopping. Their website, door and yelp all list that they are open until 11pm on Saturday nights. I will not attempt to come back.

Plate lunches are fantastic and reasonably priced. It's extremely clean and food always taste fresh. I've eaten every single item on plate lunch menu and the only thing I could do without is the Chicken spaghetti. Everything else is just freaking fantastic. Wasn't a very exciting menu for brunch and could use a few more options. Kind of expensive for brunch. Service could be a little more friendly... But food is so good, it keeps me going back.

This was a recommended place to try by a friend. Went there for lunch and it was as well as expected. The chicken spaghetti was a joke along with Cesare salad dressing. The service was average. There wasn't anything spectacular about this place. I will probably not return just because there are not anything to set them apart from any other restaurant. I will admit that Luby's food is way better than this place.

Enjoyed my meal. Came here based on yelp reviews. Jamie, my waitress, was courteous and polite. There was live music playing, not my cup of tea, but I was seated in a dining section away from the speakers. The establishment is huge and cavernous retail space. But I had nice original art work next to my table. I ordered the house made chips with duck confeit. Tasty and not too salty.

Nice place. Duck Confiet chips are great. Risotto and fish dish is outstanding and perfectly cooked. Good steaks. The house salad is awesome and perfectly balanced. Nice place. Worth. Checking out

First visit yesterday for lunch, and let me just say that the BLT with praline bacon is a new favorite. My wife got the Kobe beef burger and it was delicious as well ! I thoroughly enjoyed everything and will be going back very soon!

This place just recently opened in Madison and I've already been 3-4 times. Some nights it was just to grab a drink but I've also had a few entrees and dessert there as well. If I had to make a comparison, this place kind of reminds me of Nick's in Jackson. It's pretty standard American fare, but with a gourmet twist. The restaurant itself is in an old Bluckbuster but believe me, you'd never know it. It's very elegant, comfortable and pretty spacious. What I've had there: Duck potato chips (appetizer), this is probably my favorite thing I've tried. Very delicious. My boyfriend doesn't even like duck and he was impressed. The burger was also really good - the garlic aoli made it very juicy and flavorful. The fries that came with it are just typical steak fries, nothing fancy but I'm ok with that. I had the salad with seared tuna and it was just ok. Aside from that, I've tried the pecan cobble and it was pretty fantastic, and I'm normally not a big fan of pecans. My boyfriend and I split this and it was more than enough for each of us. My boyfriend has had a couple of the blue plate specials and raves about them being some of the best he's ever had. Since I went around the time they opened, it was obvious that the management was still trying to work out a few kinks. Some of the servers and bartenders were a little inexperienced but that's to be expected. As far as the food goes, I thought it was great and the staff are very accommodating. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Friends chose this for a birthday dinner. We sat in the bar where there was some nice live music, albeit a bit loud. I'd probably move to the main room next time and still enjoy the music. Service was quick and friendly. We shared some really good, thick cheese sticks as an appetizer. I had a seared tuna salad that was very good - lots of interesting ingredients that worked well together. I also tried a friend's fried green tomato with praline bacon blt. It was very good, too. Another friend had shrimp and grits and gave it about a 7 out of 10. Our only issue was the temperature. It was toasty and in MS in Sept, that's not good. We asked several times and were told by the waitress that the owner had turned it down a bit. It never dropped and was also warm in the main dining when we left. I'd say it was 80-82 degrees and that was WAY too warm to enjoy. If the a/c was broken, just acknowledging it would be fine and we would have understood. We may be back (as long as we know the temperature is under control.)

It was a work friend's birthday so a small group of us headed to City Grille to check it out. The ambiance was pleasant, tables are not squeezed together so no being forced to listen to neighboring tables' conversations. House wine for 2 of us and the birthday girl very much enjoyed her Grey Goose Cosmo. 3 apps for the 4 of us. The fried green tomatoes reminded me of the ones I cook in a cast iron skillet. They were lightly dusted with cornmeal, crunchy on the outside and juicy inside. Not at all greasy. The sesame crusted ahi tuna was yummy, especially with the crunchy slaw served on the side. The crab cake was more crab than breadcrumbs so you could actually taste the sweetness of the crab. I ordered the mahi for my entrée. It was flaky and moist and had the most amazing seasoned crust. Served over a perfectly cooked lobster risotto which had a couple big chunks of lobster tail meat and the meat from both claws. Topped with wilted baby spinach and a creamy, lightly citrus-y sauce. Finished the meal by ordering the bread pudding for the birthday girl. It arrived with a candle in the center and was completely dwarfed by the pudding's colossal size. We all gladly helped her eat it, but between our apps, meals and then the dessert we had to leave a few large crumbs on the plate because we were, quite frankly, out of room. Last, but certainly not least...the service was wonderful. Attentive but not hovering. Can't wait to go back!
