We were looking forward to eating fresh seafood in MS. We were here the week of Thanksgiving 2013. We did enjoy the fish for sure. I'd like to give this restaurant 4 stars, but I just can't. We'd called to set up reservations since there were 6 of us, but we were told there wasn't a wait and we didn't need them. In the 10 minutes it took us to drive to the restaurant, the place filled up and we ended up with quite a wait, which was frustrating with a 3 year old. Then there was a mix up over seating us: we had a table, then we didn't and we were left standing in the dining room for 5-10 minutes. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We were very happy with her service. The food was very good for the most part. Everyone enjoyed the Bang Bang Shrimp, the Edamame and the Mussels Josephine appetizers. We were all full before we even started on the entrees. I probably was the only one who ordered the wrong meal for myself. Everyone else liked their dinners. My in-laws have been back to this restaurant since our visit and enjoyed it. Maybe it's just that we were too large a party and they should have let us make the reservation we requested.

I like this bar. The atmosphere is good, wait staff attentive and the food scrummy. I've been here a dozen times and never been disappointed. Reason for 4 stars is they have no allergy menu so I have to wade myself through the normal menu. A little more expensive than the other places in Madison but worthy every penny

We had a business dinner and from the moment we entered the temps tire was very cold. We including the men at the table were freezing. We ask to have the air turned down. Needless to say it went downhill from there we never got our soup, never got our tea and the server was condescending! Won't be back here.

Good seafood, great staff. I heard the BANG BANG shrimp was something to try.

Loved loved loved this place. It doesn't seem like a chain restaurant. Our waitress was very personable and spent a lot of time at our table. Bang bang shrimp is where it's at!

I had the bang bang shrimp for an appetizer. I can't quite remember what I had for entree because it was so long ago but I do remember loving everything and wanting to go back. I remember having clam chowder which was my first time having it and it taste great!!

I enjoyed this "chain". But the server was outstanding and all of the staff paid attention to detail to everyone. The manager was ever present and visible at all times. I enjoyed the ever popular "bang bang shrimp" the tuna was divine and the tilipia imperial was to die for. Now the lobster mac and cheese "meh" and over cooked.

Disappointed: Bone Fish is one of my top 5 favorite restaurants. My experience today on my birthday was very disappointing. All i wanted was a nice carryout meal. I ordered my favorite rainbow trout in lemon butter and some bang bang shrimp. When I got my order the shrimp were naked in a bowl with the sauce in a container. Ten dollar bang bang shrimp should have the sauce on every shrimp on top of lettuce. The worse part is the sauce in the container was super thick and had a pimento cheese taste to it. My fish was dry and it wasn't cooked in the lemon butter sauce as I'm use to at Bone Fish. The garlic potatoes were great as usual but the rice tasted like it was from a old Chinese restaurant. I love Bone Fish and i will give them another try but I will never do carryout again here. I'm not sure what was going on with the quality today.

Short Version: Brunch was great. (The 4 stars are for brunch!) Prices are good. Service was good. I would not recommend this restaurant for dinner though. Long Version: My wife and I were looking for a brunch location and due to a $10 discount card she had been mailed that was expiring the next day, we opted for Bonefish. Honestly we haven't been to Bonefish in quite a while. It's local and the food is generally good, but the last several times we went, the atmosphere was a bit too busy in the evenings and the service tended to not be great. It seems to be the Birthday Party or large party location of choice. This is fine, but due to the openness of the floor plan and the many 'parties', it doesn't feel like I've been to a nice restaurant. At any rate, my wife mentioned Bonefish for brunch and I was surprised. I didn't even know they HAD brunch! We arrived at 11am and the restaurant had only two other diners. We were promptly greeted, seated, and provided drinks. We both chose the Cajun Shrimp Omelet (goat cheese, onions, sweet bell peppers and a creole sauce). This comes with toast (with jelly on the side) and a choice of grilled asparagus or potatoes au gratin. Our waitress also offered the crab fried rice which was not no the menu. It was a $5 upcharge that I was not told about, but it was worth it. The omelets were well cooked, a sizable portion, and the shrimp was plentiful. The creole sauce was a spicy cream sauce that was fabulous. In short, the Cajun Omelet was delicious! The toast was toasted just right. The jelly came in small 'single serving' jars. My wife had the grilled asparagus which she was pleased with. My crab fried rice was a generous portion with a very generous portion of crab meat. It was good enough that the $5 upcharge on the bill didn't bother me in the least. I felt that it was well worth it. The service was just OK. We never really wanted for anything, but extra glasses and dirty dishes weren't bussed until we left despite being practically the only patrons in the restaurant. The staff was all crowded around the far booth rolling silverware and chatting. At $9.90 for the Cajun Omelet as an average price for their brunch offerings you really can't go wrong. I think for brunch that Bonefish Grill can compete with most of the other brunch places when you consider the price. I'll be back for brunch, but given my past experiences in the evenings I probably won't return for dinner.

My friend girl and I went for the $6 Bang Bang Shrimp special and ended up getting some corn chowder with crab... now I had not ever had corn chowder before but I was amazed and thrilled with the taste. .. I'm in love with this soup.. my friend had the tomato with roasted vegetables. .. she said her soup was divine as well.. the waitress was very attentive as well... I really like Bonefish because they are one of the few restaurants that serves cherry coke!!

There are a lot of different places I like to eat; but, there are very few that I can hardly wait to take my wife and mother too. Bonefish is one, it is outstanding and the waitstaff are first rate and very informative. Charlotte was my waitress when I got there I asked for a recommendation and could not have gotten a better recommendation or better service. I am looking forward to my next meal at the Bonefish. This was my first visit the Bonefish but it won't be my last.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this chain restaurant was. I normally find that the quality and imagination of chair restaurants is sorely lacking. However, at the Madison, MS Bonefish, the food was really very good. The Bang Bang shrimp was taste and well seasoned (I did have them put the scrimp over rice so I could get all the sauce). I thought that they would make a fuzz but they had a great attitude about the switch. My youngest had the chicken fingers and I ended up eating some because they were so well made. The wine selection was nice and not overly pricey. Also, their desserts were very n9ce and large enough to share and still be happy. Try it out, it's good food at a good price.

The food, the service, the ambiance, the location... absolute stunning. No wonder they're number one in the now crowded chain.

I'd never tried Bonefish before. I happend to be there on BangBang night and was better for the experience. Food was very good. Place was packed! (It WAS BangBang night afterall). I try to avoid chains, but I'd stop at a Bonefish again, This one for sure.

I've only been here once. I went after work one evening by myself and instantly made friends with the bartender and fellow barmates, lol. Great place to take a date or meet new people in the bar area. Abita Amber on tap and Bang Bang Shrimp for an appetizer ;)

We went to Bonefish Grill as a second choice because our first choice was closed (it was the night before Thanksgiving) We were told there would be a 20 minute wait, and we were given a Star Trek phaser gun, which proved ineffective at stunning the passers-by, but did alert us when our table was ready -- which it was not. The person who wrote down our requirement made a '2' that looked like a '3'. Back to playing with the phaser, but only for about two minutes, when we were beamed up to our table, sense of humour still intact. We ordered drinks, nothing special, which (judging by the other reviews) might have been an omission that we will have to rectify next time. Jenna ordered the mussels starter with a house salad (the starter turned out to be too much for a main course for her!) and I ordered the seared ("Tokyo") tuna, which was just absolutely scrumptious and delicious and a lot of other good words besides. Jim had a Ceasar salad. Trouble came to paradise when we did something really innocent: we asked for another round of drinks, and some more bread, please. For dipping in the mussels sauce, you know. This request turned out to be a coded instruction for Klingons to kidnap our waitress, who was never seen again. Eventually we had to resort to bellowing at a passing employee, who then took the necessary steps to restore our good humour. Still, the mood was broken. We will have to try the Sarasota Bonefish Grill. It is a little out of the way for us, but for tuna like that, I will make the effort.

While I dislike chain restaurants, Bonefish has the right idea. Think of this place as a community bar with great food. The atmosphere is very good for dates. We order appetizers: Bang Bang Shrimp, Fish-n-Chips (get malt vinegar), Kobe Burger (top 5 burger in Jackson) Any drink is great

The place was packed but everyone looked so happy to wait that... mehhh...we grabbed a vibrating "your next" thingy and bellied up to the bar for a cocktail (to take the sting out of our wait ya know). Never left the bar! Two ladies near us were ordering appetizers and we drooled. Unashamed, we played follow the leader...Bang Bang Shrimp...then on to some type of cucumber lollypop...but when their crab cakes came, my date (husband lol) was in a feeding frenzy and decided to just go for it with a Filet Mignon and I didn't want to leave him hanging out there alone so I forced myself (ah-hem) to order the Longfin Tilapia with Imperial Topping (stuffed with shrimp, scallops, crabmeat, lemon caper butter). You can kill me now, I can die happy! The bar staff outdid themselves and made our visit memorable. How often can you say that? I don't pass out 5 stars without good reason. Bonefish Grill in Madison, Mississippi gave me LOTS of good reasons.

this place is a chain, but don't fault it for being a chain. it still has great mussels, great bread, good tuna appetizer and fried shrimp appetizer. if you're in madison, not a bad place to eat at all. and fairly decent priced. expect long waits, it's a popular place (which usually means something good).

We went Saturady Night and had a good time. At 6:30 it was about a 25 minute wait which we did at the bar. The Bartenders were very good and my wife got a white cranbarry martini which is a special for them this time of year. Good specialty drink and wine menu. Once we were seated we ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp for an appetizer and it was very good and I recommend. Its alot for 2. Our waitress was excellent and we orderes the Loster Thermodor(mahi) and the steak and crabcake. The mahi was very good but the steak and crabcake were a C. Overall it was good and we enjoyed it.

Really enjoyed our meal, the waiter was great . Definetly recommend this restaurant . Served the best homemade bread with pesto olive oil to dip it in . Bang bang shrimp is an excellent appetizer . Kates Haddock was awesome.

My wife and I frequent this place as it is just down the road from where we live. The food is very good although I go there so much that I have tired of most of the menu but hey, it's not their fault. I would like to see some rotation of the menu. But what we really go for are the drinks. Great martinis, friendly bartenders and nice wait staff. Prime time means wait time but you can take a seat right behind the bar area and have dinner there if you like. The Chicken Marsala is good.

this place was ok -- nothing extraordinary, but definitely a step up from other chains (applebees, chilis, etc). i had the sashimi which was good for a non-sushi place. i would go back.
