Betty’s Place

Betty's Place is amazing. The pulled pork is juicy and doused in BBQ. All the sides are homemade. Personal favorite is the spaghetti. The ribs are also spectacular. Best soul food in Indianola!
it was good. I've honestly had better BBQ, but the experience of this down to earth place is worth a visit. especially if you're at the B.B. King Museum.
Great food! Lots of locals. Ribs, chicken and fish are great. Just what I was looking for in MS BBQ.

I expected soul food. I got soul food from a formally trained culinary chef! This place may look like a shack, but don't be fooled. This is high quality grub for a modest price. I had the Crossroads Burger on a sourdough bun. It came with goat cheese, pesto, and apple smoked bacon. That's it. Can't remember the last time I had a burger without mayo, lettuce, tomato, and mustard or ketchup (except for a mushroom Swiss burger), but this was fantastic. My wife had pulled pork BBQ which was outstanding. The sauce was OK (our favorite sauce is at The Little Dooey in Starkville, MS). For dessert we had redneck beignets. These are hush puppy sized beignets with a corn kernel or two, topped with melted caramel, powdered sugar, and crushed pecans. The Blue Biscuit will be a regular stop for us when we travel to Indianola.
Amazing atmosphere. Very good food. Gives a very authentic feel of the Delta - right across the street from the BB King museum, it has a very bluesy feel and had live music last Saturday night when we went. There are always some locals hanging at the bar, and the owner is extremely outgoing and friendly. We got the pulled pork bbq nachos as an appetizer, which were pretty good. I got the Crossroads Burger with bacon, goat cheese, and pesto. It was absolutely delicious. I substituted hush puppies as my side too, which were also very tasty. My girlfriend got a grilled shrimp salad, and they loaded it up with shrimp. I can't wait to go back to try more on the menu.
A great experience. Uncle Jeff's BBQ and Biscuits =very good. The place is very well decorated with the local vibe. I enjoy eating here when passing through. Think I want to try a Sunday evening for big ass pork chops and rib eyes sometime... Some very unique choices that all looked great. I could have eaten another basket full.

Great variety, cool atmosphere, cold beer, and great pizza. Easy place to bring the kids and feel comfortable or see pretty much any body in town. Definitely appreciate the local connection and can appreciate the effort it took to create the expansion and franchising spreading across the south. Glad to see you doing awesome guys.
What pushed this place to 5 stars was the area. With all the places these dudes chose to open this, in my opinion, gourmet, unique pizza place they chose the Delta. Who woulda thought it? We had The Kujo and The Lucille. We also got a free Strawberry Fields dessert pizza for checking in. We had thin crust on all three. The crust was perfect with a crispy edge. The toppings were all fresh and quality ingredients and the pizzas were loaded. The cheese was very good with just the right amount of gooey goodness. Although the strawberry fields pizza was ok, I think I would try the cheesecake chocolate pizza next time. This place is a must visit if you're anywhere in the Delta. They have 11 locations in Mississippi and one located in Memphis, TN. Take a minute and step away from the bbq to give it a shot. Oh and if you just gotta eat bbq EVERY meal, they do have a bbq pizza.
Thick or thin pizza crust. Not amazing but probably the best you can get in the delta. The happy hippie is my recommendation but I've also heard the hot chick is great. Their wings are popular but I've never heard anyone mention the subs or the dessert. Nice closed in patio area and air conditioned inside.

We stopped here driving through Indianola on our MS Blues Trail journey bc it was pouring rain and we had to take a break. Excellent service, very friendly and welcoming. Very quick service, received our food within 5-10 minutes. My burger was delicious... probably one of my new favorites in the Delta (along with Airport Grocery - very similar styles of burger). Great potato salad as a side. Fries were generic. My girlfriend got a catfish po boy and said that it was just ok. I'll definitely be going back. It is very quick and very reasonably priced. They have a takeout window too for to-go orders.
I drive around the state and eat a lot of burgers. The Pea Soup's hand made flat top burger is awesome. Grilled just right with a nice toasted bun How can you not give a local spot like this with a dairy bar 5 stars? Seriously, these type places are what makes the South the South and America great. Eat local. It's good food.
Okay, the guy who said this place is expensive is ridiculous. My chicken sandwich was like four dollars. This place is anything but expensive. I would say it's a good place to go when you want a quick, inexpensive bite. It's nothing that you're going to drive out of your way to get, but it's good enough. No complaints about my chicken sandwich; it was exactly what you expect a chicken sandwich to be.. nothing more, nothing less. My bf's shrimp poboy was pretty good; nothing like what you can get in NOLA, but again, good enough. I had a medium soft-serve swirl to go and it was HUGE.. like Costco huge... so get a small unless you are sharing (or feeling super gluttonous.

I have been eating here since I was a kid and Im pretty sure Ive had everything on the menu! Its all homemade and authentic, no frozen crap. Get the "Special"- Sweet and Sour Chicken, Fried Rice, & Cabbage for only $4.50! Tell Hong I said hello.
The food was very salty and greasy and probably would have earned 2 stars, but it was very cheap, which is a definite plus.
Not bad. I had the shrimp fried rice and it was yummy. I've had better, but for a quick takeout it was good.
