This restaurant used to be Named Walnut Circle Grill. It is now under new ownership and and although I cannot say exactly how the menu has changed, I can tell you that it is absolutely delicious and has become one of my new favorite places in town. I have absolutely no idea how anyone left a one star review on this restaurant because everyone I know who is ever eaten there is love everything they have ordered. While dining there, I saw a group of friends at a table for eight and went over to speak with them. Every single one of them had completely cleaned their plates. They had each ordered different items and everyone raved about their entrée. I highly recommend the Boudin appetizer. Cannot remember the exact name of this dish, but it is almost like hush puppies made out of boudin. The steak is delicious & the meatloaf is amazing. Thursday nights are tapas and they have wonderful live music in the courtyard. The owner and his staff do an excellent job of catering private parties as well, so if you are looking for top-notch upscale catering services, look no further than Stuart Gates and his staff!

Desserts and craft cocktails seems to be what this place does best. The entrees were just sort of "okay," but the desserts and cocktails really made up for it. If I could give this place 3.5 stars I would since the food is really a 3 star experience while the desserts and cocktails are definitely at least a 4 star experience. So I was sort of perplexed as far as which way to lean with the rating. We visited this restaurant TWICE during my stay in Hattiesburg over my New Years holiday. My local company said it was one of their favorite places to dine so it came highly recommended. We ordered the Tuna Steak, their Pork Chop and their infamous Meatloaf. The consensus for the entrees were sort of all of the place. I thought my Tuna steak was perfectly prepared as I ordered it rare with a light sear. The wasabi mashed potatoes that came with it were good....but MAN you just don't expect that huge kick of wasabi coming at you in your mashed potatoes! It was more intriguing for my mouth than anything that these weird flavors were mixing together. Maybe it was a bit much and overpowering because I literally only tasted wasabi after a few bites and not much of anything else on my plate.....but I still enjoyed that tuna! My company seemed displeased with his Pork Chops entree because he said it was just too tough and I did notice he was having a bit of trouble cutting through the meat. My other dining companion said he loved the Sriracha sauce that comes with the Meatloaf entree and that he wished there was more sauce but that the meatloaf itself was decent. It seemed he was more impressed with the sauce rather than the actual Meatloaf itself. So the food was just sort of good but nothing super fabulous. However, the desserts here seem to be the thing to get. Also, the bartender working the bar, Tony, made us some killer custom craft cocktails! Our server did mention that the desserts were inspired by some infamous chef and perhaps I believe that after tasting them. One was White Chocolate Stuffed Beignets and the other a Flourless Chocolate dessert that comes in a little jar with a side of vanilla ice cream. The desserts were just out of this world! I was totally forgiving the mediocre entrees by the time those desserts hit my mouth! Tony was just the NICEST guy in the world and was very accommodating about what sort of drinks we would like and made up special cocktails for ALL of us. Tony's smooth laid back Mississippi disposition along with his perseptive cocktail knowledge really makes you feel warm and fuzzy while lounging at his bar as he mixes and blends away. He really puts some love into his craft and the proof is in the drink! Literally! I just can't say enough good things about Tony.... maybe it was a whimsical crush....or maybe it was the perfect blend of scotch, honey, bitters, and whatever else he put in my drink. Either way, I would totally suggest coming here for some dessert and cocktails :-)

My wife and I went to Vicki's a couple of weeks ago for a date and sat on the veranda. Of course, the atmosphere was nice and the food was great. At the same time, I felt like we were gouged ($70+) for ordering nothing more than an appetizer, a couple of salads, a dessert and a couple of drinks. The food was good....but, it was not THAT good considering the amount of money we spent for what I would consider to be light fare.

Here is my reason or the 3 star. First the meal today was bad! My fish of the day had "lobster" in it but it was hard! By me saying hard it was crunchy like roman heart lettuce. The fish was over cooked on the bottom two of three filets. The meat loaf my wife ordered was not only well done... Which we didn't ask for that. It was like chalk in my mouth when I tried it! She sent it back and they comped it. Let's get the the good part. It was the dessert this was outstanding! We had the White chocolate brioche with raspberry sauce. This was the best thing and would have me coming back to have it anytime I can. The desserts are from Master Chef Whitney Miller. The service also helped keep the stars. Sarah was a great server. I will give this place one more try, but for right now... I am wishing for Walnut Circle Grill back! Which was at this location before. Star breakdown 1 star for great service 2 stars for great Dessert!

Solid 4 star experience. Very comfortable and cute place. Great patio with live music - I definitely predict spending a lot of warm nights there this summer. The duck quesadilla is amazing. The meatloaf was decent... a bit dry, but the sriracha sauce is to die for. I just want to cover everything in it. We were super excited about dessert, but it ended up being AWFUL. Had the key lime tart, and I'm not sure if it was served how it's supposed to be, but it was literally a lime ice cube with a hockey puck for crust. Even cutting into it with a butter knife was futile. Great cocktails, good service, but be warned: bad acoustics, so it's very loud inside. Not the place for a quiet intimate dinner.

You absolutely have to try the meatloaf on the dinner menu. It's better than your mothers! Other delicious items are the Boudin Balls and the Johhny Cakes.
