Very good sandwiches. The first time I went, I had an amazing roast beef, cheddar, and horseradish on focaccia bread. I chose potato salad as a side. It was the regular mayo-y southern potato salad and fine. I probably wouldn't choose it again (just a personal preference, as there was nothing wrong with it). The lemonade was unremarkable and I would not drink it again. But that sandwich was fantastic. And huge. I only finished a little more than half. On my second visit, I had the French Dip and mac and cheese. The macaroni and cheese was definitely more to my liking, but nothing like the kinds I make at home. The sandwich was good, but the jus seemed a bit too salty for my palate and I found myself wishing for a roast beef, horseradish, and cheddar sandwich instead. Good prices, hefty portions, and it's pretty good. I'll definitely go back again.

They had two customers just now. I ordered a chef salad to go. I got lettuce, cheese, and a piece of ham thrown in a bowl. Not at all the usual uniform chef salad goodness. My little girl was subjected to listening to the counter girl's sexual escapades while we waited including curse words. Will not be back to this location. Wish I had checked my purchase before driving home because whomever was in charge needs to know. Not at all up to standards.

I really would have loved to give McAlisters a higher rating; however, the Bacon Spud was a huge disappointment. I highly recommend the French Dip sandwich! The au jus was the perfect compliment to the crusty French baguette. There were a good amount of chips on the plate as well. I ordered a sweet tea and was shocked at how large the cup was. There were free refills too. Back to the baked potato...there was a good amount of cheese and bacon but the potato was incredibly dry and tasted really burnt. The skin had peeled away but there were no obvious signs of nothing, just overcooking. The tables were clean and there were no dishes left behind by previous guests. The women's bathroom smelled dirty and had overflowing garbage cans. The floors throughout the restaurant and bathroom were dirty and had napkins/straw wrappers laying around. Overall, I would visit McAlisters again but would opt for takeout.

Terrible service. Not worth the wait even though I love this chain. I waited 17 min for my food in an empty restaurant. Went up to inquire. They gave me the wrong soup. She even repeated my order to me when she handed it to me and what was on the plate was wrong.

Very good sandwiches! Very friendly staff and comfy atmosphere. Ordered a spicy southwest grilled chicken sandwich with potato salad and a sweet peach tea! Awesome place!

Went yesterday and got a pressed sandwhich and a cup of chili. The sandwich was not bad but didn't have that much meat on it, and the chili tasted like it came out of a can. I also got charged regular price for the sandwich but didn't get a side with it. The total cost of everything was about 12 bucks. For that price, I could have gotten much more for my money just about anywhere else in town. Instead I got a flat sandwich and a little cup of canned chili. Totally not worth it.

The pecanberry salad was not as good as Mcalister 's in Covington,LA where I normally eat at. The salad had way too much lettuce and very few berries and very very few pecans. The atmosphere was not very pleasant, kind of outdated setting. I ate at this location during the trip back home. I was very disappointed that it was sub standard

Every time I've been here the food is horrible. Always cold even though it's suppose to be hot.

I actually came here to write about the nachos, but it looks like Chris H. beat me to it in his previous review! They do give you a ton of nachos, but honestly, the nachos aren't that good. The sandwiches, iced tea, and potato salad are what is good here! You can't go wrong with most of the sandwiches on their menu. I have been a customer of many different McAlister's restaurants and have tried several menu options. So, have at it! Enjoy!

The sandwiches and food are just alright. The place is nice and big. I'm from California so my opinion will not be compared to anything local to Gulfport (until I try something new). The sandwiches sound awesome on the menu, but the quality of food was sub par.

Wow, they definitely give you a hearty portion of nachos. They feed about 3. Unfortunately, I didn't know that, but the wife and I had a good time anyway. One of the nicer locations I've been to.

Well McAlister's is a MS chain of deli restaurants known for their Giant Baked Potatoes and Sweet Tea. I was first introduced to them in '04 in Jackson. They have delicious sandwiches which are served with a side and a slice of pickle. The sandwiches are a tad pricey but you get what you pay for. When I have time to fight for parking, I pull into the one here in Gulfport and order the Memphian (**** stars) I usually get the potato salad (** stars) even though its kind of bland. Their Tortilla Soup (*** stars) is good but not like what I am used to back in CA. You can't go wrong with the sweet tea or lemonade. I generally get half unsweet, half lemonade (AKA Arnold Palmer) Now if you are a Spud lover then you can't go wrong where where they serve the Gigantic Potatoes... Again parking leaves much to be desired, but if you find yourself headed home from Walmart or just cruising just south of the Interstate, McAlisters will have a sandwich for you...
