I had a steak the other night that was absolutely perfect. It was well seasoned and so tender!

While in Grenada crappie fishing, I noticed the crowded parking lot at this place. It didn't seem to matter if it was the lunch or dinner crowd, always packed with vehicles every day of the week ( a good sign in my book). I went with a friend for the seafood buffet on a friday. We had the catfish, frog legs, shrimp, bbq ribs, chicken, corn bread, butter rolls, jambalia, scallops, okra and more. If I lived in Grenada, I would go there every few weeks. Too bad I'm 1000 miles away.

**Disclaimer: this review only focus on lunch fare--333 is not soul food but it'll do in a pinch. On a scale of 1-500 "333" is 333. The pro's outweigh the cons but the restaurant will soon be a fading memory like my stop through Grenada, MS. The staff are some of the kindest people i've encountered in my travels. This made up for the sloppy maintenance of the bar. Another strength of this restaurant is that you can get in, immediately start eating, and leave the waitress a generous tip all for under $10.00. Lets get right down to it and begin discussing the food. Equitably priced and hot, the main fare is served at a hot and cold bar. It is self-serve. Perhaps it shouldn't be because sometimes you can not tell if you are getting peas or some type of wicked succotash. The spillage from the various entrees onto others gives it an eery feel. Whats more is that the staff does not check it. The hot bar offers two meats. I tried the hamburger steak and the pork chop. The hamburger steak reminded me much of the pre-frozen patty that I receive on my fast-food breakfast run. The pork chop was delightful. It was golden fried and it was perfect. I must leave you with a bit of a horror story my friends as we explore the cold bar. Follow me as I approach. I load my plate with my lettuce-onion-cheddar-pickle-ranch-bacon-cucumber-concoction. The familiar crisp and cool bites of the salad are refreshing. As I finish the salad I look down in fright as I notice something black. None of the aforementioned trimmings are black. On further investigation with my fork I discover the corpse of a fly rolling around in my ranch.

Not all its cracked up to be. Had some tough steaks, hot room and slow food delivery. Waitress busted her butt trying....but kitchen staff didn't give her much to work with, but she kept trying.

I lived in the South for five years just out of college and this place brought back so many memories as soon as I saw that buffet. Southern soul food! All the vegetables were delicious and tasted like something I would make at home, and the chicken was fall-off-the-bone good. On the other hand, what was labeled as pot roast was okay, but it was more like a prefabricated hamburger steak in gravy. It reminded me of something I would get in a school lunch. Overall, though, the food was good, the service was friendly, and the price was right. I'd definitely eat there again.

Stopped for lunch on my way to Vardaman and had the buffet. The fried chicken was good, but the meatloaf was a little tough. The chicken-pot-pie was tasty, but thin. All the veggies were good. Over, a good place for a country lunch.

Interesting restaurant near Grenada Lake. Though the exterior may throw you off (it's a former convenience/gas store), don't let it. We went on Saturday, so they didn't have the buffet for which they're well known, but the menu was extensive. One in our party had the BBQ sandwich, and he was displeased with it. Otherwise, all of the other people in our party really liked the food. One said they have the best vegetables she had had in years! Highly recommend their desserts, as most are homemade and VERY tasty! Taking off one star for the BBQ. Still a decent to good place to eat. Give it a try....

Grenada is severely limited in good restaurants, so this of course is going to be one of the "go to" restaurants there. I go to the lunch buffet pretty regularly because it is so good. If you are used to the huge selection buffets, then you might be disappointed with the smaller selection as they only have one bar consisting of the hot food and salad, one or two choices of dessert and one soup, but it makes up for it with the quality of the food. They have the best fried chicken anywhere, and their veggies taste home cooked, not just heated out of a can. If you are looking for soul food or comfort food, then you are in the right place. They also make great sweet tea. The owner is really nice and is usually there during the lunch hours. The service is also good. As for dinner, the menu is a bit pricey for the location, but the food is good overall. The steak has a good flavor, and the sandwiches and other things are good. I find their seafood buffet is good but a bit pricey for the selection. None of the seafood buffets have oysters on the bar which is disappointing. The look of the restaurant from the outside might deter some as it used to be a gas station and the parking lot still looks like it. The building is smaller but holds a lot of people. Overall, its a really good restaurant, especially for the area and is one of the best!

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! Do not believe the hype. I grew up in Mississippi but have lived all over the country and in England and Switzerland. Eating good Southern food when I come home for visits is something I always look forward to. After hearing such good things about 333, seven of us went to dinner (supper) there May 11, 2012, with great anticipation of a night of good food. It was anything but. My catfish was cold and mushy and did not come with hush puppies as stated on the menu. One of our diners ordered a loaded potato, but was served a plain, COLD potato. My mother ordered a coke but was served iced tea with her fried shrimp that did not come close to being as good as fried shrimp you get at ANY CHAIN RESTAURANT! Two diners ordered steak, which albeit had good flavor, was tough and fatty. As bad as the food was, THE SERVICE WAS THE WORST I HAVE EVER HAD ANYWHERE HANDS DOWN. Two meals came out at the same time. The other 5 did not come until 20 MINUTES LATER. My appetizer came long after I had finished my entree. We had to ask twice for anything we needed. An extra plate we ordered to divide some food never came. We had to ask multiple times for drink refills. I could write paragraphs more, but you should have the picture. If quantity is your thing regardless of quality, then this may be your place. However, if you want good food with at least minimally competent service, look elsewhere. I can honestly say that this is the worst dining experience I have ever had in Mississippi.

Ok, very fried, limited beer selection. But the service was excellent, that is the only reason I gave the third star.

Only been once, but 333 Restaurant was great! Service was fantastic...waitress still smiling after my 8yr old dropped a whole cup of lemonade:) I had crawfish poboy(added a little pepper), it was served on a hoagie that tasted homemade fresh! Our table also had the shrimp poboy, pulled pork sandwich and a reuben. Mom said the corned beef was surprisingly tender and just wonderful...although, that WAS my Dad's sandwich:) We will definately meet at 333 as our next midway point btwn Jackson and Memphis!

This place was great. For buffet food I have lower standards. I mean, mass produced food tend to try and please every palate and not use very many spices. Not so here. Everything was super tasty and fresh. I would eat any of the food here for any reason. We went the day before Xmas for lunch which may be why the selection was more limited. We had chili soup, salad bar, corn bread sticks & rolls (one of the few things that didn't WoW us), turkey, amazing stuffing that paired wonderful with the gravy full of flavor, greens with just a hint of ham/bacon, fried okra, and strawberry shortcake. I had second helpings of the veggie cheese lasagna. A white cheesy sauce with flecks of shredded carrots and other things. Oh did I mention that the whole thing was I think ( I didn't pay) 7 bucks each. Amazing food for an amazing price. I am docking one star for dry turkey & corn bread. Oh they sell cakes and pies. I got a caramel cake slice to go and it was the best cake I had in MS. I also bought some local Tabasco sauce for 2.50. They sell Tabasco and muscadine jelly, pumpkin pie in a jar and other tasty things.

There are only a few restaurants in Grenada, MS and this one came highly recommended by many locals. Near the Grenada Lake...the food was tasty and well worth the visit. Everyone is very friendly here and anxious to share their favorite places. We experienced Shrimp Po'Boys, Crab Legs, and Chicken Wings and topped it off with the house favorite Caramel Cake. The decor is home grown and you can get a real feel of the local flavor. We'll definitely return before our trip home.
