Really Delish! Alligator, Crab Bisque, crab salad, chicken sliders, Delish wine by the glass, all in All, Laney gave her all to make it a great meal!

A wonderful Saturday night early seating treat! Greeting and service were very, very good. There were a couple minor bobbles, but our waiter successfully served our table of four efficiently. Better yet he didn't make the usual delta error of substituting show of personality for service. He got the orders right, timing showed his thinking cap was on, he didn't interrupt conversation, and check-backs & clearing were appropriate. We would seek out Carlos again. We're not familiar with some of the offerings on the menu, but it felt like prices were reasonable and servings generous. As a couple we opted for Korean Hot Wings, Duck Fries w/Mozzarella, Oyster Stew, Blackened Cauliflower and Rosemary Garlic Artichoke Dip w/Toast. And it went like this: Wings a huge hit, not that hot, distinctive mellow sauce, easy eating. Duck fries not a potential favorite because they were a bit limp, didn't look attractive, huge serving, cheese good but dish rather heavy. Perhaps our expectations were off? Oyster stew was surprisingly spicy and full of potatoes, somewhat lacking in oyster component, yet satisfied. Blackened cauliflower failed. The blackening invaded every crevice of the veggie and there were pockets of dry, super-hot seasoning which provoked a choking fit. The cauliflower itself, and the idea to skewer it, were nice but broiling it with some butter might have satisfied better. Artichoke dip with toast left us puzzled. Toast rounds were flavorful, the serving plenty for all at table to try, however there was practically no artichoke taste discernible. Spices, salt, hot stuff, loads of rosemary, just general over-seasoning had wiped it out. Since this is a familiar item it was a little disappointing but not un-tasty. So the meal was filling, interesting, not totally satisfying, and an adventure. Ingredients did seem top quality and the presentation was good. Despite loads of food on the table our waiter managed to keep us tidy and items arrived logically with no waits, no confusion. But that's not all. We are coffee fanatics and got refills of the nicest, smoothest coffee. It stood out and was special. A glass of Beringer white zin cured the cauliflower-choking! Everything in the interior glowed and sparkled and looked modern and appealing. The music wasn't our favorite but not intrusive. Others at our table got beloved Crab Bisque carried-over from the old Bistro menu, Crab Cakes, Penne Pasta, and a couple other items plus Blueberry Crisp served with 2 spoons. As a couple, we certainly thought our $51 ticket was well worth it in terms of an evening out. It was a relaxing and pleasant place to enjoy dinner and we look forward to checking out additional small plates or some of the regular offerings in the future.

Who's writing the other reviews?? This place is fantastic. I was visiting for work and it was amazing and I'm used to Los Angeles restaurants (which I'm realizing are sadly overrated) Had the lump crab, pickled hushpuppies with cheese, crawfish crab n grits, and pimento cheese and alligator sausage ( hey when in Rome). Thank God I don't live here I'd be broke! Incredible and the service was great as well.

This place opened around the middle of May 2015 and was recommended by the hotel staff. This place reminds me of a restaurant in South Beach Miami, not what I was expecting in Greenwood, MS for sure. They have very unique Small Plates like Fried Alligator with Comeback to Korean Hot Wings. The Chefs Creations are creative using items like Rabbit, Duck and Smoked Elk. They have Steak and Fish dishes but with a flair. The Duck Ragu and Garlic Risotto was well prepared and tasty. A must try when in Greenwood!

We came to town as a fun group of women for the Viking cooking school. Reservations were made. Yes, we were a big party a table of twelve and expected gratuity to be added....BUT the service was disengaged at best. Food was OK, but not for the price paid. Very loud and poor acoustics The waitress did not even offer any apologies for the slow service. We ordered dessert of blueberry cobbler and rather than tell us that the kitchen had sold out, the chef tried to dublicate a crisp dessert made on the stove rather than in oven. No reimbursement for this gooey blueberry mess. Group of 12 had added gratuity of 20%. Will not return to this establishment for special weekends

It is far too loud to enjoy the meal. In addition the employees are hanging around outside the door smoking cigarettes and flinging the butts "wherever". Having a cook that smokes is gross. You know they have that hacking cancer cough and will cough all over everything. I don't recommend the place unless you are a deaf smoker and can survive the noise with your cancer covered food.

I had been to Delta Bistro at the old location a few times and enjoyed it. I recently went to the new location on Howard Street for a family birthday dinner. The fried alligator and roasted vegetable appetizers (under "Small Plates") were great. Loved the homemade comeback sauce that came with the alligator. I ate every bit of my quail and ravioli dish (My sister ordered the same, and I believe she liked hers too). I tried the birthday girl's duck ragu. The duck itself could have used a bit more flavor, but the risotto was good. My mom had the duck fries small plate, and while she said it was tasty, it was too rich/heavy for her. Our server was very nice. We brought a birthday cake to have after dinner, and our server was kind enough to keep it in the back while we ate. After she cleared our plates, she brought it out with extra plates, silverware, and a cake server without my having to ask her. We had reservations at 6:45 on a Friday, and the place was practically empty at the time. But it filled up later, maybe around 7:30? It was pretty much filled when we left. I prefer the interior of the old location. Seems like it got more natural light, which makes sense since that building has skylights. The main dining area of the new location is back away from the front door. All in all, great food, great service, nice ambiance. I hope they do well. Greenwood needs a place like this.

Their today's special gnocci was horrible. It tastes like using old gnocci. Service was not good. But not too bad.
