The food was amazing and priced right. Family of 5 ate for less than $50! Kids had chicken tenders and the portion size was huge! I had the fried pork chops and was very yummy! Squeezed lemon on it and omg, fabulous! Staff was very attentive and service was fast! Country charm spot!

I'm not sure what people meant by big portions or food being "priced right", but I beg to differ. Shrimp poboy $8.99 with a total of 7 shrimps. Roast beef poboy $7.99 with $1.25 upcharge for fries. Got about 15 fries max. Roast beef tasted like it had freezer burn, and shrimp seemed refried from the night before, lettuce was brown/wilty, and tomatoes were old and soggy. First time, and probably last time. 1 stars for good customer service, none for food, presentation and portion.

This place blew my mind...in a very bad way. After being seated we had our drink order taken. We waited 15 minutes before our waitress took our meal order. That was done after we asked another employee to see where the waitress was. When I was finally asked for my order I requested the children's grilled cheese. The waitress said, in a rather negative tone, "I can't do that". I understand that a restaurant can't survive if everyone ordered from the kids menu. So I explained to the waitress I want a grilled cheese and you can charge me a higher price. That is what I would like to eat. She again refused to allow me to get that as my meal. The person I was dining with suggested I get the BLT and add cheese. That sounded like a good compromise and made my request. I asked our server for the BLT with no tomatoes and add cheese. When my meal arrived I was surprised to see a sandwich with tomato and no cheese. I politely reminded the server of the order. To my dismay she asked "can I bring you a piece of cheese and you just take off the tomatoes"? I assume she saw the strange look on my face and quickly grabbed the plate and said she would handle it. She returned from the kitchen with my original sandwich no tomato and unmelted cheese. I was not happy, but decided to cut my loses and eat what they gave me. I cannot believe a waitress that says they have been there over twelve years does not know how to take care of a customer. This was my first and last visit. For full disclosure I paid my tab and left a tip.

All I can say is awesomeness to the fullest! I had a grilled shrimp Greek salad! I could only eat half of it! It was full of shrimp and feta! Our waitress was full of energy and very sweet. Now that I'm eating semi healthy, there were plenty of those options. Along with fried stuff. Best place I've ate in awhile! Awesomeness!!!!!!

My husband and kids stopped here and I ordered the gyro, my husband had the Philly cheesesteak and my kids ordered a catfish plate to share. It was the best gyro I've ever had! My husband really enjoyed his sandwich and the kids ate every bite of fish. We ordered a piece of Black Forest cake to go and it was delicious. Will definitely be going back!

This place sucked & over priced. I had the 12oz steak I could of cook a better steak my self and my chocolate cheese cake was so old it was crusty! My wife had the county fried steak and she told me it was like the kind you heat up in the microwave. The sweet tea was good and the service was good too. We won't be going back...

This was really a bad experience. This was one of the very few restaurants in Gautier which is actually pronounced "Go-shay." (really fooled me). In any event, an evening stop here for a burger was really a turn-off. My wife and I ordered a burger. When it came to the table it looked good from uncovering the top bun, but the underside of the burger could have been used for rust removal. The meat had been cooked to a point that the underside was burned solid half way up through the burger. The first bite was like having a mouth full of charcoal. I called over the owner who looked amazed and took them away. I'm sitting there saying to myself how could a cook send something like that out of his/her kitchen. This was then followed by a fast exit declining the offer asking us if we would like anything else....".no thank you."

Country Gentleman is one of my favorite places to go for lunch. They have a wide variety of food - they have a lot of local specialties (seafood, gumbo, catfish), typical Southern dishes, and of course, GREEK! Doesn't seem like it goes together, right? I know. The owners are Greek. There's the explanation. I've mostly eaten the Greek entrees myself, but I have had a pretty good sampling of other dishes, and I've never been disappointed. If I had to pick a favorite dish that was not a Greek item, I would go with the loaded baked potato (and yes, they are very generous with the toppings) or any one of the po-boys. The service is also very good - fast and friendly, which always makes for a good lunchtime experience.

I was skeptical at first glance, but as soon as I stepped in the door of this place, I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is cozy but classy, & the staff is very friendly. I tried the liver & onions lunch plate with mashed potatoes & rice, & is definitely recommend it to anyone! You'll find a spread of country cooking, with a few Greek dishes mixed in. The owner is Greek & was very sweet! Definitely worth a stop!

Really tasty place tucked away in a tiny town...thankfully we were staying nearby & happened to pass by it. Greek, American, southern dishes & poboys can be found here. I really didn't expect to find awesome Greek food in this town! I had the Greek plate special (gyro meat, fresh pita bread, tzatziki sauce, spanikopita & Greek side salad). Mom had a fish dish & hubby had the ruben sandwich plate & everyone loved it all. Oh, and there was a huge dessert display case, so of course we had to try the tiramisu & carrot cake.

Best Greek salad, anywhere! I compare all others to this one. I took a pic of the gyro Greek salad and the loaded baked potato, but couldn't resist eating half before I snapped the pic! LOL!
