Last night my husband and I wanted pizza, so we looked up some of the local pizza joints. We decided on Villa Rosa because their Tuscan pizza sounded super yummy... Cheese, meatballs, red peppers and onions with dollops of ricotta cheese. I called in a takeout order and had them add banana peppers. It was a $1.50 charge to add extra toppings, which is fair because the only size pizza they have is big. They quoted me 15 minutes for pickup and I arrived right around 15 minutes and the pizza was already finished. Points for speediness! The pizza smelled so good on the drive home, and we were super excited to dig in. The overall flavor was really delicious, and I enjoyed the thin crust, but I felt that it was heavy on ricotta and light on the other toppings. I don't recall tasting the red peppers, and I'm glad we elected to add banana peppers, because they helped cut the richness of the ricotta. The slivers of meatball could have been thicker for sure, and for an extra $1.50 I expected more banana peppers. I'm giving them three stars with the expectation that we will return and try other items. I would like to try the garlic knots and some of their other pizzas, and maybe take advantage of the specials they're always advertising. This is a good option if you, like me, can't stomach any more Pizza Hut!

My family was going to try this place for the first time. We went inside and ended up just standing near the counter for over 10 minutes, there were a few employees talking a couple of feet away; we actually walked right by them, not one single person greeted us. We were never acknowledged at all. We ended up walking out and going elsewhere to eat. I won't be returning.

My son and I ate there once. I should've known something was off when I saw all the restaurants around it were packed and we were the only ones in Villa Rosa. We did not like the food and won't be back.

For the Gulf Coast this place is awesome! Keep in mind this area isn't known for its NY style pizza and subs, so comparing it to the "norm" found in Jersey or NY isn't a fair comparison. However, it's the closest thing I've found to traditional NY Italian pizzerias. Check this place out!

Pretty goo New York style pizza. Not much to say after having the real stuff, but good for where it's located. The cashier was really friendly.

This was our go-to pizza place while we lived in the Biloxi area. The garlic knots are hit or miss. The pizza and stromboli are great. Try a cannoli.

This place gets the three stars for being what I call "mad decent"...Nothing extraordinary or great, just average pizza. I got two slices; one combo and one cheese. Both were good, but neither had anything very memorable or what I would brag about to a friend. The combo had ok amount of veggies and a little sausage, but the crust sauce and cheese make the pizza and this is where it's just average. Thin crust and plain sauce with mediocre cheese make for a three star experience.

I used to really like this place. As a NY native on the coast it was great to find this pizza place. My husband and I were thrilled and got pizza here every weekend. I'm not sure what changed but the last couple of times the food quality has been terrible. Check out the picture I uploaded of my margherita pizza. We are definitely disappointed that the quality has gone down so much.

Cold service on two occasions. Rushed and a "why the f$@k did you come in here" kind of attitude Honestly it's so cold and rude that I felt I may be part of some hidden camera show. Sorry, I support local small businesses but the girl running this joint is not happy if you come here.. Really disappointing. Food last time good but service and attitude bad enough this time that I lost my appetite and will give Togo food to a homeless person. I hate being treated so poorly. Not cool at all. Been the same on both visits just figured first time bad experience was and a oversight. Avoid this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First trip but won't be the last! Had the Jersey Combo Parmigiana Sub with a Garlic Knot and it was very good. Mine is the best, but I only had a few suggestions! A very pleasant surprise. Took a menu home so I can plan my next visit!

Stopped by this past weekend while visiting some stores nearby. Located in the Promenade just west of Five Guys Burgers. Menu consisted mostly of pizza, subs, salads and pasta. My partner orders the half sandwich half soup , a sub with italian sausage and meatball and a cramy artichoke mushroom soup. I ordered the chicken parm sub and couldnt help but notice a box of cannoli shells so I assumed they stuffed per order which I asked the cashier and she confirmed. The cashier doubled as our waitress and made us feel welcomed and accomadated our every need. I thought the soup was flavorful but a little to thick. My chicken parm sub was served with a portion cup size of pasta salad which I'm not a fan of cold pasta but it was tasty. The sandwiches were served on toasted bread and good but both my partner and I thought that the marinara was fresh but unsweet, my partner kept refering it to an orange sauce instead of a red sauce. Our meals were still good and service excellant and basically on par with Salvetti's which I've already reviewed. My only dissapointment was the cannoli. My cannoli filling had the texture and flavor of cool whip, not a good ricotta cheese filling that I'm used to. I think that the shell was much better than the filling and needs work.

After taking my family here for the second time, I have not been let down yet. We got a large pie and garlic knots, and a salad. The food came out quickly, the staff was attentive, and pleasant, the the food was good. The prices were really good also. Its not ofter a family of 5 eats for under 35. Overall: its a great stop in. Good food Good location Good folks

I really liked the Tuscan pizza -- ricotta, meatballs, onions and mozzarella is a yummy combo. It was fresh, not super greasy and the sauce had good flavor. Apparently the garlic knots are something Villa Rosa is known for, but our batch was lackluster at best. I'm knocking off one big star for service. I called ahead and was told it'd be 25 minutes. I showed up 25 minutes later and still had to wait 15 minutes for my food. If it was going to take longer, they should have just told me so, and I would have waited to come. As it was, they had our salads, garlic knots and one pizza ready, but still had to cook the second pizza. By the time we got it home, one pizza was room temperature because it had been sitting for longer and the garlic knots were cold. I'm knocking off another star because of the location. This intersection with I-10 is really difficult to navigate and the shopping center is challenging to get in and out of. Villa Rosa might be a good option for grabbing a slice while shopping, but between the location and service, it's not ideal for a quick to go order.

Discovered Villa Rosa about a month ago and have been back two times. Super friendly staff who really take care of you. We have had Tuscan and the New Yorker pizza and love it. Try the garlic knots they're really good and melt in your mouth. Ready to go back this weekend to try the sandwiches. I can't stress enough the two key ingredients are the helpful friendly staff and the fresh ingredients that are made to order. Do yourself a favor and give these guys a try. You won't regret it.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
