Was out at the VA Hospital today and went out to try this Five Guys burger joint. Some people may have heard about how Obama goes there in DC, so if its good enough for the Prez, I had to see what all the hoopla was about. Well if you decided to go, don't go at lunch time!!! I showed up at 12:30 and the line was out the door. As you walk in, it reminds me a lot of the In & Out Burger. They use the same open kitchen design and clolr scheme. You can grab a handful of free peanuts, but I don't like to eat things that the public touches!!! I get up to the counter and order a cheese burger (*** stars). There are a list of free condiments that they will add to your burger which include grilled mushrooms and onions. The fries (***1/2 stars) are seasoned and fresh, but I prefer plain ole fries. The sitting area is a good size and they have several tables outside for outdoor seating. I just don't get what the big deal is? when you are waiting in line you are bombarded with the "awards" that FG has won. hell even the drink cups have a list of "awards". One thing I can say is that they sure have used Obama's visit and their "awards" to promote their burgers. Without all these zaget and "best burger awards" plastered all over the place I don't know if I would have really gave it even *** stars. Don't get me wrong it was good, something like In & Out meets Wendy's. But definitely not the "best" burger I ever had!!! Will I go back? I dunno 10 bucks for a burger fries and drink just doesn't seem worth driving to DIberville and fighting the "new" mall traffic...

It's a burger and fries joint. What more can ya say? They don't have 20 different kinds of burgers, nothing unusual or different IMHO. While yes the burger was good and the fries were good but nothing that made me loose my breath and go crazy over. It's better then Wendy's or BK as it should be for the price you pay but well maybe I'm just not a burger junkie. Place was clean, service was good and well ya it's a burger joint LOL

Good burgers but definitely pricey for what you get. I like the customization and all the add ons. I have had occasions where the meat falls apart too much to where you have plenty of bites that are only bread. The regular burger is two patties of meat (very large). I normally get the small with only one patty. If you get fries, only get one order per two people maybe three. They are huge orders!! Overall, good burger spot but nothing that keeps me coming back again and again.

Every time I've gone to Five Guys they have always gotten my orders correct. The wait has been very minimal and I love being able to watch them prepare the food. A couple of times I've gotten group orders for our office and the orders have still been correct. Very satisfied!!

Can't go wrong w/a burger made to order. Been twice and both times I have been pleased. Wow! You get alot of fries when you order a large! I will order a small next time, for sure. Employees are very nice and seem to enjoy their jobs, which is a plus in service industry. I had a cheeseburger wrap lettuce w/onions, pickles, tomatoes. I didn't realize onions were chopped so next time I will for go it. Kinda hard to eat with onions falling out. Now the fries are so fresh! I like getting the cajun seasoning added on to it or sometimes on the sides if I want options. Also, their beverage selection is da bomb! Must check it out. Varieties if flavor for all drinks!

Great place, but don't come off the I-10 until the construction is finished. Took 30 mins on and off due to closed bridges and freeway ramps. What a nightmare.

We landed here, not really by choice - just nothing else in the area really appealed to us. I got a hot dog, which they slice in half and grill. Fries were really greasy but hard. Not a fan of this location.

I just moved here from Kansas and was pleased to find there was a Five Guys! It's been nice having little bits of home. The florescent lights do nothing for my complexion so i could never come here on a first date but the burgers and fries have a homemade taste to them and are the definition of comfort food.

I ate there along time ago and remember not liking it. I went back today thinking it may have gotten better but I was wrong. It was $8.00 bucks for a dried up hamburger and then they charged me $4 bucks for fries and $3 bucks for drink. Kind of expensive for a dried up hamburger and soggy fries. Staff seemed upset as they showed no eye contact and were very short when I asked about an item on the menu. Maybe they are better else where but I won't be going back to this one. FYI it was just about empty at lunch time.

Great burgers and fries. They are fresh burgers and fresh fries. You know the fries are fresh and not frozen because they have bags of potatoes and they tell you where the potatoes of the day have come from.

Best burgers and fries around!!! Lots of toppings to choose from, burgers and fries made to order. You can place your order online and go right to the front of the line when you go pick it up. Great way to save time. You simply cannot go wrong here, nobody else even comes close... Five Guys is perfection!

Stop drinking the kool aid people! So this is the run down, Five Guys, is burgers, fresh cut fries and a drink... that's it. A regular burger has two patties of beef (an insane amount of meat for someone just wanting a burger) and comes with your choices of toppings. they also have cheeseburgers, bacon burgers, and bacon cheeseburgers. While I like the concept of "all your toppings are free" on top of the burgers you order, it didn't wow me and the toppings themselves aren't "tasty" (grilled mushrooms and grilled onions specifically) let alone the burgers. Maybe it's me but my bag was SOAKED in grease by the time I got it.... umm YUCK! The meat was downright flavorless, the bun was fresh and soft but got soggy as it couldn't hold up and soaked with grease, the fries underwhelmed for the hype they produce about them (these potatoes for your fries came from XYZ city and state on XYZ date) and lacked salt, the drink was... well coke. The price? For a regular hamburger, regular fries and large drink is OVER $10!!!!! CRAZY! Seriously from a fast food burger place and as far as quality goes, Backyard Burger puts out a MUCH better product IMO and the price is almost half of Five Guys. I guess the walls covered every square inch with reviews and the subliminal message about how awesome Five Guys is didn't work on me. I just don't get it...

Love it. Typical order: -Little Burger (one patty is sufficient - a regular burger comes with 2) loaded up with almost everything except mayo and pickles, but definitely customize to your own taste buds. -Cajun fries. The regular ones are good too, but the Cajun gives it a nice kick. -Beverage of some sort... many to choose from. Yeah, it's a burger joint, but it's fast food burgers done well. I mean, they are actually edible, which alone is a huge step above McD's, Burger King, and the usual suspects. They have free peanuts to munch on too, but seriously, you won't need them. My Whataburger-addicted fiancé no longer craves Whataburger on our trips to Biloxi since I introduced him to Five Guys. This makes me happy, since I was never a Whataburger fan, but Five Guys won my heart. Also, definitely take advantage of the review cards with crayons and leave a nice note on their wall (it's by the beverage machine area).

Pretty good. Burgers were lite and not heavy so eating a Bacon Cheese Burger and some fries filled me up without over stuffing me. It is pretty pricy and much better than the Golden Arches or BK. I would go back.

Five Guys left my tummy a little disappointed. I'm not a picky eater at all. I used to joke with my friends when I was young that whatever you put in front of me I will eat. I don't waste food nor take it for granted. That being said, I finally ate at Five Guys. Ordered a cheeseburger with lots of toppings, plain regular fries, and a large coke. Total came to $10.77. The burger was good but nothing out of the ordinary. I think the toppings were the star of the burger. The fries were yummy. I may go back some time in the future and try a bacon burger or a hot dog but my first impression was just not very memorable.

I was introduced to Five Guys while living in VA and living right across the street from the original, I ate there regularly!! When I moved back to New Orleans, I craved a lot! Being in New Orleans, everything seems to be family owned and most chain restaurants are non-existent. Five Guys has got to be the most fresh and most delicious burger EVER! There's really nothing special about their burgers, but being able to watch them make it in front of you with all the possible toppings you can think of is pretty great. The bottomless pit of cajun fries makes this place top notch when it comes to burger joints. I suggested to my fiance that we take a road trip to MS to eat at Five Guys, he thought I was crazy! I invited my brother and cousin along and when we finally ate, they realized that the hour half drive was totally worth it!

As a west coast native, I am genetically engineered to love In-n-Out. While I appreciate my roots, Five Guys is where it's at. There are more options, better burger meat, better fries, and for a caffeine allergist like me, caffeine free Diet Coke. Always a plus in my book. I can almost never order beverages other than water because of my intolerance to caffeine. When you're done, go next door for a cupcake at Frostings. A perfect end!

I liked it, good stuff, fresh burger, and good cajun fries. A friend of mine thought it was not all that--his first time to Five Guys. I've been to FG in Carson, CA before, it was okay too. The friend of mine said, he would go for a Whopper instead, he was disappointed that the FG burger was not that big. I concur. I liked the burger for its texture, but it was not filling at all. They got free peanuts here, I ate the peanuts after the burger. I don't think I would have eaten the two handful of peanuts if I was filled. Maybe I should have bought two burgers. Maybe I should have just ordered a Whopper at a nearby BK. But for the best burgers I think In-N-Out or Red Robbins, or my wife's July 4th Burgers are best.

Expensive for a burger. But nice to have a fresh one instead of fast food

This Five Guys is just as good as the others I've been to, but know when you go what to expect - burgers and fries. Yep, that's it. But I'm not a fan of burgers or even red meat really and these are definitely delicious. Good, prompt service, and clean eatery. I give it four stars b/c they do hand-make the burgers and they are much better than Wendy's, etc. and definitely worth the price.

Friend talked me into going back. Begged was more like it. The burger was better but still not worth the money. I don't understand shelling out close to $10 for a burger and fries that is comparable to Wendys.

Decent little burger joint. Nothing spectacular, but the burger was really good, especially if you are looking for a change from the normal burger place. I ate the double with onions and mushrooms, I must admite they did not hold back on either. I was very pleased. The fries sucked, just undercooked french fries with Ton's Seasoning on them.

First place I stopped when I got into town. I had the bacon cheese burger and fries. The burgers are large enough that sharing an order of fries with your group is a good idea. There is nothing fancy about the place just burgers and fries, basic, just the way it should be.

big fat burgers and cajun fries fried in peanut oil. free peanuts if you want them. the food was fresh, and it is cooked to order. wasn't knocked out, but it was a decent burger. not a big fan of peanut oil, but the fries were ok. i felt it was a touch pricey for what it was. we don't have five guys where i live (california) but i am not feeling cheated by that fact. it worked for what it was, but ultimately it made me crave an in-n-out burger....

I have eaten at this establishment several times. I was not a fan of the cajun fries, it was just fries with cajun season sprinkled on it, but you cannot complain about size of portions, one order is big enough to feed two. I have never tried the hot dogs, but the burgers are excellent; really enjoyed the variety of toppings at no extra charge. Have recommended to several friends, they loved it too.
