If you in Gulfport or Biloxi you need to drive past tourist traps. This place is great and especially for families. The food is on a different playing field than other eateries. I will be back. Bbq shrimp better than Dennie's in NO. And the grilled oyster selection was amazing and can't wait to come back. This place is not overpriced at all. The food quality was better than anything else this week in surrounding area. Staff was great also
We are from Michigan and found this place via Yelp. This is a place the locals go. Lots of tables pushed together to accommodate families. We had the seafood balls appetizer and split the seafood sampler plate. Was plenty for two. Great flavor, light breaking, not greasy for fried food. $2 beers, cold- was a great casual place.
I'm completely mad at myself about missing this place. I literally drive past it everyday and I had no idea what it was. One of my friends recommended it and I made a promise to go back every weekend until I move. The oysters are delicious and made me feel as other restaurants are over rated! The raw oysters were fresh and big! There was another kind that I forgot the name of, but they had artichokes in the sauce-OMG. BEST EVER. I had seafood lasagna as my entree. It had crab meat and shrimp in it. AMAZING. Also, their tartar sauce is to die for. It's a nice kid friendly atmosphere and our waitress was the best! Will definitely be back! Repeatedly!

Three of my favorite things here: great customer service, great food and clean! Out of the five employees I saw, I interacted with three and they treated my wife and me very well. I will be coming back. Thank you, Which Wich!
A bit pricey for a sandwich. This was my first (and possibly will be the only) visit. I went to the register, only to be told to go get a bag and write my order on it. Ummm, ok...A for effort, I guess, for creativity in the ordering process. So, after I figured it I decided to try the reuben, just basic roast beef, sauerkraut, provolone (I know... but I don't do swiss), and thousand island dressing. I love onions, so also added red onion. Waited around awkwardly for a few mins, since I was the only one there. Got my sandwich and took off. Now...taste test. FAIL. Salty beef, sauerkraut had a weird taste to it, onions were STRONG, slices were way too big and was loaded in my sandwich as though it were lettuce...and whatever dressing they chose to give me???? It was SUPPOSED to be thousand island. Whatever it was (creamy, tan-ish, bland spread) was NOT thousand island... not even close. Not impressed by this sandwich or how much it cost me. Maybe I chose poorly, maybe they put the wrong sauce on it, who knows. But meh. I'll just get subway or firehouse next time.
Very good once we got past the ordering system (we were first timers). Staff very helpful and friendly. Food well prepared and tasted good. Will return.

I'd seen several Dickey's locations around town and thought that it was an over-hyped chain. However, when I stopped in for dinner I was very surprised and pleased! You order at the counter and they cut and plate your order in front of you (if you can see over the 5 foot counter). The prices are extremely affordable, and you get free ice cream soft serve! I tried their 2 meat plate which comes with two sides and a roll: pulled pork, polish sausage, green beans, and baked beans. The pulled pork was tender and moist, the polish sausage was flavorful and moist as well, the green beans were fantastic, and the baked beans were sweet and heavenly. The shear amount of food options they have make it hard to choose, but with how good everything was the first time, it shouldn't take long to visit enough to try everything.
Sunday arrival and it's busy. Can I say it one more time? Sunday arrival and it's BUSY. The wait line is long and tables are dancing. Guess this is definitely the place to come for a family Sunday lunch. It's 1245pm. Or it could be a Sunday special happening at the counter. Don't know cause I'm not there yet but can see it from a distance. . Okay my favorite is always ribs. Love both their regular and spicy bbq sauce. Each time I have had the ribs I must admit they were on the fatty side. More fat than meat. But that's what gives the flavor, however I would enjoy more meat and tone down the fat a bit. As for sides I only like the Potato casserole, Waffle fries or Caesar salad. Everything else was a little off my charts and either too sweet or too oily or not enough flavor. I will get this to go cause there are no tables and it's raining outside. Going for the 1 meat plate. I love BBq so I will be back.
I know......I know it's a chain restaurant but on my first visit it was damn good. When I first got to the counter I told the attendant that it was my first visit and he recommended the Monday special of the day which was the pulled pork sandwich with two sides and a drink for $8.99. I got the "home style" beans and loaded potato casserole with extra cheese and chives as sides. The drink was a plastic souvenir 20 something ounce drink, they serve pelletized ice! Once I made it to the condiment area, there was a choice of self serve warmed bbq sauces in sweet, spicy, and plain flavors. I customized mine and mixed the sweet and spicy sauces together, they also had white onion and dill picked available. The meal was good with very little fat on the pulled pork. The bbq sauce was a little watery but had a good flavor. I would rank it in the top 4 places of bbq joints I have eaten at. And I love bbq, so this joint ranked pretty high. When I was done I ordered 48oz of baked beans and 48oz of potato salad for a Christmas party we will be attending later on today. They also offer family sized plates, full catering, and online orders which you can pickup at your convenience. Oops I forgot they also serve free soft serve ice cream in a sugar cone. Judging by the 3 year old that sat on the next table over..... it tasted good. Angie and Ashley both Yelp Elites said it was good and legit.... I concur with them. I'll be back!

Ahhhmaaazinngg!! I love this Moe's! Wish the one by me was just half as nice! This one has spoiled me for all others! Friendly people and great food!
All the Moe's locations are really nice, with good quick food. The location has one of those cool multi-flavor soda dispensers. Some locations have two dispensers, which is nice, particularly when someone in front of you takes forever to get their drink just right. This location is in the new Promenade shopping area, which is full of nice, new stores.
I walked in and everyone yelled "Welcome to Moes!" at me. I am afraid of people and just life in general, so it scared me. I sharted myself in fear. And then I left. But before I did, I had a burrito, and it was just okay. The soda machine is the coolest thing about this joint.

Excellent food. It's not terribly authentic Greek, but it tastes great. The salads, hummus, gyros... all excellent. My only complaint is the service. I'm actually surprised by how many people say the service was excellent. I'd chalk it up to one bad experience, but I've been numerous times and the service was always fair at best, usually very slow and my most recent visit was downright miserable. Not matter how many tables are occupied, the service always seems completely scattered and overwhelmed. But at least usually the guy I assume is the owner and his staff make an effort to be friendly. My last visit, this past Friday, seemed to be a bad day to stop by. The assumed-owner seemed completely overwhelmed and would swoop down on our table for a few seconds an respond curtly to our requests before rushing away again. I was taken aback by how rude he was at one point. But, he's usually very nice... so I didn't take it personally. But I'll be going back, I'm sure. The food is worth a little bit of hassle from the staff.
Their gyros are pretty damn good. The prices are quite reasonable too. It is always a place to consider for dining out.
me & my husband had lunch here last week! It didn't disappoint! We both had gyros that were extremely yummy...& the hummus was also good! We will def be back to try other things on the menu...I normally like to play it safe at new restaurants!

Five Guys Burgers and Fries

Was out at the VA Hospital today and went out to try this Five Guys burger joint. Some people may have heard about how Obama goes there in DC, so if its good enough for the Prez, I had to see what all the hoopla was about. Well if you decided to go, don't go at lunch time!!! I showed up at 12:30 and the line was out the door. As you walk in, it reminds me a lot of the In & Out Burger. They use the same open kitchen design and clolr scheme. You can grab a handful of free peanuts, but I don't like to eat things that the public touches!!! I get up to the counter and order a cheese burger (*** stars). There are a list of free condiments that they will add to your burger which include grilled mushrooms and onions. The fries (***1/2 stars) are seasoned and fresh, but I prefer plain ole fries. The sitting area is a good size and they have several tables outside for outdoor seating. I just don't get what the big deal is? when you are waiting in line you are bombarded with the "awards" that FG has won. hell even the drink cups have a list of "awards". One thing I can say is that they sure have used Obama's visit and their "awards" to promote their burgers. Without all these zaget and "best burger awards" plastered all over the place I don't know if I would have really gave it even *** stars. Don't get me wrong it was good, something like In & Out meets Wendy's. But definitely not the "best" burger I ever had!!! Will I go back? I dunno 10 bucks for a burger fries and drink just doesn't seem worth driving to DIberville and fighting the "new" mall traffic...
It's a burger and fries joint. What more can ya say? They don't have 20 different kinds of burgers, nothing unusual or different IMHO. While yes the burger was good and the fries were good but nothing that made me loose my breath and go crazy over. It's better then Wendy's or BK as it should be for the price you pay but well maybe I'm just not a burger junkie. Place was clean, service was good and well ya it's a burger joint LOL
Good burgers but definitely pricey for what you get. I like the customization and all the add ons. I have had occasions where the meat falls apart too much to where you have plenty of bites that are only bread. The regular burger is two patties of meat (very large). I normally get the small with only one patty. If you get fries, only get one order per two people maybe three. They are huge orders!! Overall, good burger spot but nothing that keeps me coming back again and again.

El Bosque Mexican Grill & Cantina

D'Iberville, 39540
Reviews:
There aren't a lot of (good) mexican options here on the coast. For the price and the quality of the food, El Bosque is about as good as it gets. I ordered the Bosque Burrito and man was it good! Very large and filling. And the food came out incredibly fast! (Almost scarily so, haha.) This isn't top tier- mexican cuisine, but for what it is meant to be and compared to relative options, it certainly warrants the high score. There were a few odd things in regards to upcharges...for example, to have my burrito come out grilled is $1.00 upcharge? This doesn't cost them anything extra or require a change in quality of ingredients, so I found this puzzling. Also, to swap your steak/chicken for ground beef is also a $1.00 charge, which makes no sense given that is a downgrade in meet quality. But really, these up charges are a moot point given that even WITH the upcharge the meals are still cheaper or right on par with other locations nearby. This place is VERY affordable! And probably my favorite part was the horchata. I have horchata everywhere I go and have acquired quite the palette and I will tell you that this was one of the best glasses of horchata I have ever had. Might not mean anything to most, but I wanted to through it out there! Good food, good price, the only thing that could be improved is the quality of service, but since it wasn't BAD service I feel no need to dock the score. Enjoy!
Average food, not the best service. And the portions are small for as much as charge. The deluxe / super burrito was what I'd expect for a normal burrito, but without the toppings and sides. Oh, and indoor smoking allowed. Which makes it bad for kids and anyone with a nose.
The food is good the drinks are good but it is too dang loud. I liked the food every time I have been but I can not stand the loud people and the loud rude people that allow their kids to run, scream and cry in the restaurant. I would love to find a place that was kid free (Less than 10) or even a section that is kid free. I sit in the smoking sections to try to limit the children running and screaming but seem this place allows smoking all around. Since the noise level is so bad I have had to limit my visits. The wait staff is nice and efficient and the food is good. Not great but hey it is good. They have generous portions.

My husband and I go to this restaurant as a date night ritual. The large specialty rolls do not disappoint. They have such a nice, warm vibe with pretty cool tunes, not the average oriental kind. One of my favorite things they do is give you a nice warm hand towel to wash up that smells heavenly!
This place was awesome by far the best sushi place we have gone to in this area... they have much more traditional sushi then any place we have been to so far they don't put a ton of sauce all over everything and the wish was really fresh and cut correctly... I loved everything we had, I tried their Wasabi white tuna it was really good and interesting looking the presentation wa outstanding our sever was a sweet young girl... we mostly ordered their sushi the sweet shrimp was great and the uni was amazing and fresh..loved this place
We eat here at least once a week and always have a great experience! Our favorite appetizers are the Golden Oysters & the Tuna Sunset and our favorite rolls are the Pink Lady, Phoenix Tail & Angel. Loads to choose from...extensive menu!

Villa Rosa Pizzeria

Last night my husband and I wanted pizza, so we looked up some of the local pizza joints. We decided on Villa Rosa because their Tuscan pizza sounded super yummy... Cheese, meatballs, red peppers and onions with dollops of ricotta cheese. I called in a takeout order and had them add banana peppers. It was a $1.50 charge to add extra toppings, which is fair because the only size pizza they have is big. They quoted me 15 minutes for pickup and I arrived right around 15 minutes and the pizza was already finished. Points for speediness! The pizza smelled so good on the drive home, and we were super excited to dig in. The overall flavor was really delicious, and I enjoyed the thin crust, but I felt that it was heavy on ricotta and light on the other toppings. I don't recall tasting the red peppers, and I'm glad we elected to add banana peppers, because they helped cut the richness of the ricotta. The slivers of meatball could have been thicker for sure, and for an extra $1.50 I expected more banana peppers. I'm giving them three stars with the expectation that we will return and try other items. I would like to try the garlic knots and some of their other pizzas, and maybe take advantage of the specials they're always advertising. This is a good option if you, like me, can't stomach any more Pizza Hut!
My family was going to try this place for the first time. We went inside and ended up just standing near the counter for over 10 minutes, there were a few employees talking a couple of feet away; we actually walked right by them, not one single person greeted us. We were never acknowledged at all. We ended up walking out and going elsewhere to eat. I won't be returning.
My son and I ate there once. I should've known something was off when I saw all the restaurants around it were packed and we were the only ones in Villa Rosa. We did not like the food and won't be back.
