I have been to this Ryan's about six times over they past few years. About four of those six I wished I didn't go. Food quality is fair at best. When getting steaks, it is a hit or miss as to how satisfactory it is, mostly miss. Only a few items on the hot bar are "good" as I judge it. Usually I can't eat most of the items I picked up off the bar and have to only settle for about 2 or 3 things that I like. Rolls are always great, fresh but as a whole it still reminds me of a retail cafeteria. For the money, I would go to Walmart and get a couple of Swanson's Hungryman dinners and a couple of bags of frozen veggies and a single desert - and eat well. One night at closing I heard one of the staff say, "Are we going to reuse the mashed potatoes?" So they most likely reuse some of the items that are still left on the hot bar from the previous night! Wait staff are fairly nice. There is another Ryan's in Tupelo that I ate at, was better than this one in all areas. So perhaps it is local management issue for the poor quality.

Manager (Rob) is no longer there and it's evident in the quality of the food. My husband and I ate there this past weekend and it was definitely a waste of money. There wasn't fresh food and what was there was no presentable. For instance the cornbread muffins were so flat the server thought it was a cookie. Will not be returning any time soon.

My mother wanted to come here. EEEKKKK, is all I can say. Huge restaurant with a big buffet for $5 lunch. OMG, fried, greasy foods lined up at the buffet tables. Sure they had a salad bar that was decent and soup but the food is awful. The sad thing about it is I went to get freshly cut Roast Beef that looked good. When I ate the first bite, it was tough, overcooked, and bland, no taste. The sad thing was it was a great piece of meat that was ruined. Who can eat this crap??? As I sat there wanting to leave asap. I look around and the average weight of guest must have been three hundred pounds. I mean really.......Many people are obese in this town but this place is not the place to come to unless you are wanting to die. Really, watching the guest come past me with their plates piled so high with greasy, fried foods, made me never want to eat again. Very sad that a place like this can not put out healthy dishes to stop the obesity factor. The absolute worst place, service was slow and blah!!! I told my mother she better never dine here again. Sure great deal for $5, for crappy, unhealthy food that will just add to very poor health.

Ok, this is hit or miss. I have been back for lunch as well as supper. Tonight there were hits and misses. Hits: rotisserie chicken, Asiago ravioli, shredded pork with cowboy potatoes topped with BBQ sauce, sirloin steak Misses: taco bar, black-eyed peas, fried catfish, noodle soup, chilli, macaroni, terriyaki chicken, lima beans, pizza, bean salad, bananas in sauce. Deal Breaker: mashed potatoes! They actually set out a fresh pan of potatoes BUT they plopped the old potatoes onto the top of the fresh. The old were a different color, much darker, nasty and off-putting. Deal Breaker Part 2: I bit my tongue several times when I saw workers looking over the food and replacing some, but they did nothing with those potatoes. While I was getting another piece of chicken there were about six workers on break and fixing their plates. I sat down and watched them to see if any of them had enough pride in the food OR were as disgusted over the sight of those potatoes as I was. When they all left I walked back to look at the potatoes......they just stirred the entire batch together and went about their way. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. The few reliable items do not out weigh hideous ones. To Each Their Own.
