Love this family owned place! The ribs are awesome... Pretty much everything I've ever tried there I have enjoyed. The Pig Salad is my favorite and I love getting it with honey mustard and some of their bbq sauce to mix up for a unique dressing. If you have room, go for the Hostess Cupcake cake. Devils food chocolate cake in layers with a white cream in between and covered with chocolate icing. Good thing you can buy it by the piece because it's not one you need to have a whole thing of at home because you will keep going back to it. Alright now I'm ready to get off work .... Think I might treat myself to some ribs tonight!

They aren't trying to reinvent the mouse trap here. Unsurpassed in smoke flavor of the pulled pork. Smoked half chicken is incredible. Baked beans and slaw are perfectly prepared, neither, too-sweet/too-bland. Hand cut fries are good. An opinion, they need to double dip the fries. When you get them in a to-go box, by the time you get home they are so wet and limp from the condensation, they are not palate pleasing. Take note of yelp.com/biz/ramjets-iuk… Their desserts are homemade, but are outsourced, through a very nice and talented lady. I worked here for a brief time. I remember on my first day, when the smoker was opened for the first time that morning, all the women ran to the front of the house, to avoid the smoke. I walked forward, inhaling, embracing, admiring, rejoicing, almost worshipping the smell. When the 'Pit Master' asked me if I wanted to experience something better than the smell, I said sure! He pulled a hunk of meat off one of the butts, straight off the smoker. My my! There are many descriptive words, adjectives, if you will, to describe food (bitter, bland, spoiled, mellow, crisp, buttery, fishy, tasteless, gingery, burnt, fruity, hearty, peppery, sweet, overripe, vinegary, oily, salty, spicy, sugary), but the only thought running through my head, when I tasted that fresh-smoked meat, was dayyum! Note to tourists, don't approach locals with "Where is Jimmy's or Crossroads BBQ?" We only know it as the Rib Shack. Side note: if you are not a child, don't order the macaroni and cheese, it is straight from a box. No characteristics of homemade or even of a box-macaroni that has been 'fiddled' with by adding extra butter and cheese.

YUM!! Tender fall-off-the-bone tender ribs served dry, that don't need any sauce at all, but if you want sauce with your smoked piggie parts there are 3 kinds on the table: Hot, Sweet, and Mild. These ribs are perfectly seasoned with a dry run and smoked gently. They are moist and not chewy at all -- they compare VERY FAVORABLY to the ribs we had last night at Marlowe's in Memphis. The barbecued pulled pork is also served without sauce, and also does not need it because the meat is so well seasoned. Pulled pork is also moist and tender -- it may be just a tiny bit better than the ribs. Fried pickles are quarter-spears in a dill batter -- YUM! EAT HERE -- the Corinth Rib Shack is BBQ PILGRIMAGE WORTHY.

Family owned and operated. BBQ, sandwiches- cheese steak hoagie, in particular, recommended. Very popular lunch specials. Their beans and slaw, standard barbecue sides, are well prepared and very good. Their fries are usually very well done as well. That being said, if you're not from around here, you have to recognize that barbecue is very much influenced by regional taste variations and personal taste preferences. Consistency can be a rare commodity in barbecue restaurants, even for locals. Differences in cuts of meat, cooking times and from cook to cook can introduce slips in quality as well as inattention to how long the prepared barbecue sits in a holding area or steam tray. I have friends who only come here for lunch because of perceived issues with quality in the evenings. I come here most often for their barbecue sauce even though it appears to me that the owners have followed the modern barbecue mantra to try and please everyone and have three different sauces on the table now. In the old days, you had the house barbecue sauce and a bottle of Louisiana Hot Sauce for those who wanted a little more spice in their life. Now you have to pick between Hot, Sweet and Mild. Its not just here, at Corky's in Memphis a couple of weeks ago, I noticed 6 different sauces on their table. The mild barbecue sauce on their table is what I've become accustomed to over a lifetime. You can tell from the picture of the bottles on the table, the relative popularity by the levels in the bottles. The sauce is the consistency of ketchup with a mild barbecue spice flavor. To disclose a great local food service secret and document some local food history, I will tell you that this mild barbecue sauce has been served in Corinth over 60 years that I am personally aware of. If you want to know more about it and a little more local food history, check my review for Brigg's Inc. who is the local distributor. This is the same barbecue sauce that has been used at the most popular Corinth drive-ins, diners and dives for the last 50 years or more. Food habits, preferences and tastes tend to be ingrained at birth and determined largely by what we eat as we grow up and become accustomed to. Hog Wild in Corinth has been a major sanctioned barbecue cooking contest since 1991 traditionally held near the railroad depot in downtown Corinth the first weekend in October. Enjoy some really great barbecue by becoming friends with one of the local sponsors of a contest team. For all other times during the year, Rib Shack is a very good place to get a taste of Corinth barbecue.

Best beef brisket around, good service, authentic atmosphere. All meats are smokey and tender. Don't miss it if you are in the area.

We arrived into town later in the evening so our dinner options were limited. I'm so glad we chose Rib Shack - the food was delicious and service was great! You probably can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but I definitely recommend the bbq pork plate and the fried pickles appetizer.

The Ribs were amazing. Every little tender piece of meat fell right off the bone and the sauce was good. All the BBQ sauce I've had down here so far hasn't been too tasty to me, this was a different story. I got a meal with half a rack of ribs, coleslaw, bread, fried okra and house fries. I wanted to try the catfish, but I figured they were known for ribs so I had to get ribs. The coleslaw was very sweet, I'm personally not a fan of sweet, period. Sweet tea, sweet slaw, I guess it's just the Southern thing I'm not up on..? The fries were tasty. The fried okra... The fried okra!!!! Bangin' I usually get it for lunch in the hospital and it's just ok-ish. No this okra, this okra was immaculate. So, if you're ever in Corinth for a day or two, come on in to the Rib Shack!!!! If you happen to get the catfish, write about it incase I don't get around to it. If I do I'll be sure to update my review.

I thought I already wrote a review for here. It's been a couple of months since I have been here. I do remember that they were some of the best, if not the best ribs I've had in my life. Dry rub with sauce on the table, but the ribs were so smoking full of flavor, you don't really need the sauce. The place is behind the Pizza Hut near the City of Refuge Church. The GPS originally took me far away from the Rib Shack. You don't want to miss out.

We were looking for a good BBQ place on the way to Memphis and decided on Jimmy's based of the yelp reviews. We decided on the ribs and some BBQ. The ribs were great and the portions were large. There really don't need sauce but there are some very good ones available if you want. I typically don't like baked beans because they are too sweet in most cases. Although these were sweet they were good. They weren't as sweet as most I've tried but I probably would have liked them better if they were even less sweet. I didn't really like the BBQ. It was too dry. I think it was probably chopped too fine. We would definitely go back for the ribs. I would give the BBQ another try to see if ours was an isolated case. Do try Jimmy's when you are in Corinth.

For the best ribs in Corinth, MS, you go to the rib shack. It's located just behind the Pizza Hut on Highway 72 and easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Lots of good stuff at this place - philly cheese steak, pig salad, and the ribs! It's excellent! A lot of the reviewers have been saying that the ribs fall off the bone because the meat is overcooked - they're not from the south obviously. Watch any show on Food Network and the cooks will tell you that this is the desirable way for ribs to be. You want it to be tender (and how it slides off the bone is a good indicator of this). Great food, great service, and a great price - highly recommended.

The staff was very friendly although it took them a while to realize that they had not took our order. I had to try the place after the high rating, but was much lower for me. The coleslaw was extremely sweet, the beans were okay, and the BBQ Pork was very dried out and seemed like it was a day old. I do not recommend getting the pulled pork. I probably should have tried the ribs. Also, the fried pickles were really good.

Good ribs. A good hot BBQ sauce too.

I'll echo much of what Jon T. has to say - since I visited with him just recently. The ribs are the clear winner here, and yes, that sour salt taste is a nice little difference from what you would usually expect. The meat was fall off the bone, in some cases before you could get the rib to your mouth, which you may or may not like - I didn't mind it, even though that apparently indicates they have been overcooked. The sauce they provided was just so-so, but the ribs didn't need it, so I didn't use any. Our chopped pork sandwich was also good - smokier than the ribs, but moist and with good flavor. Reportedly better than the previous visit. As for sides, the cole slaw is just OK, but the beans were pretty good - not super sweet, and with some jalapeno and shredded pork in for excitement. We had an appetizer of sweet corn nuggests, which were, as I hoped, just little blobs of creamed corn, breaded and deep fried, with ranch to dip in. I don't know if we even needed the ranch - these were pretty good. The corn was tasty and they were obviously fresh fried, since they were too hot to eat for a little while. Same deserts as Jon T too - but I thought they were just OK. The brownie certainly has nothing on the giant porter brownie at MickDuff's in Sandpoint, ID. Service was friendly, and prices were cheap - barely $10 a person to be overly full. Absolutely worth visiting when you can find time between all those slugburgers. It should be noted, this place is a little hidden behind a Pizza Hut - keep looking, you won't be let down.

Per others' recommendation, tried the ribs. Amazing! They were thick, flavorful, and fall off the bone just as promised. The sauces were just OK - tried all 3, but again as others stated, the meat didn't need any. Pulled pork sandwich was good too. I liked the coleslaw - it tasted like KFC's, so if you like theirs, you'll like the stuff here. The fried okra was also absolutely delicious. Big and thick pieces - wonderful. The only thing I didn't care for was the fries. Maybe just a bad batch -they were soft and limp. Gross. If you go here, definitely try the ribs!!

Third stop was just as good as ever. The Rib Shack is consistently excellent. Great, tender and well flavored ribs, with a delightful tangy rub. Don't ruin these babies with sauce, they do not need it. Great pulled pork, as good as I have had in West Tennessee (and I am an Eastern North Carolina BBQ lover). We will keep coming to Corinth for this and slugburgers. Great food in a great town.
