By far the best fried chicken in the golden triangle. Best I have had outside of Willie Mae's in New Orleans. The batter is nicely seasoned and very crispy. I normally only eat dark meat pieces, but at Helen's I always get the breast. The breasts are gigantic. The biggest I have ever seen. At most places chicken breasts are so dry I can barely swallow a bite. At Helen's they are perfectly cooked and very moist every time. The green beans and okra are well-seasoned and tasty. The cornbread has been improved fairly recently and is now pretty good. The mac & cheese is good if you get the crusty top layer. The other entrees I have tried have been a little lackluster, so I only get fried chicken when I go to Helen's. Helen's is one if my favorite places in Columbus. One of the few that is truely stellar at what they do best.
